Cisco recently replaced our shake roof with a new 3-tab roof….main house and detached garage. The whole project with completed quickly and efficiently, with great care given to get the old roof off safely, protect my home and landscape from damage and deliver a high-quality new roof. They did a terrific job. I got new gutters, and they look great too! All the crew were friendly and polite, and they cleaned up wonderfully every day. The price was quite reasonable. I was very happy with Cisco’s Roofing. I received bids from other companies and Cisco’s was the best. The crews that came out to remove the old roof and install the new one were great. Very professional and very respectful of my property. At the end of each day they cleaned up any debris, and at the end of the job, they did another thorough clean up making sure no nails and such were left about. Working with Cisco and Javier was very easy to get the estimate and sign the contract.

Choosing a contractor for any trade, particularly a roofer is not an easy process. I started by going to the manufacturer’s website to get a list of preferred or certified contractors and then did a license check. I looked at their reviews which can be helpful, but are not always reliable.Once I had a list, I requested and received several roofing estimates for an ageing rental with a shake roof having noticeable rafter tail and sheathing dry rot. Based on my initial contact with Javier, the son of the owner of Cisco’s Roofing, I choose them for the following reasons:They have been in business for over 20 years in the Sacramento area and they are a certified or preferred contractor for all of the Big Three shingle manufacturers (GAF, Owens Corning, and Certainteed).Javier spent a lot of time explaining the pros and cons of the various product lines of the Big Three and what was involved in installing a new roof system that would comply with each specific manufacturer’s warranty requirements, even the number of roof vents needed.Javier answered all my questions, regarding what was involved in completing the dry rot repairs and restoring the house to a like new appearance.I received a detailed and very competitive estimate as to cost and scope of work including gutters and gutter guards.After the contract was signed and given an estimated start date, I received a call from the owner, Francisco verifying when he would like to start and asking if I had any questions about the roofing process and explained to me exactly how they were going to repair the dry rot.Once started, Francisco called daily to keep me updated as to the progress, which was appreciated as I was not able to personally be at the job site.Upon completion, the roof and gutter looked like any new roof, but I was particularly impressed with the dry rot repairs. Other than new wood, one would never know that any repairs had been made.I was so pleased with my interactions with Francisco and his son, their excellent communication, the quality of their work, and their very competitive price, that I have contracted them to reroof my home this spring.I highly recommend Cisco’s Roofing and hope you consider them when getting bids on your next roofing project.WJS

We got many bids for our tear down and roof replacement and Cisco’s was not only clearly the most knowledgeable and detailed, they also were extremely good value. Once on the job, the crew worked incredibly quickly and efficiently as a team. From not pushing any product at the initial consultation to cleaning up everything after the job, they were flawless. I honestly have no suggestions as to how they could improve.p.s. our roof was a little trickier than some because we had to have solar panels removed and replaced which Cisco’s also coordinated seamlessly.Service: Roof installation

I had originally asked Francisco to give me an estimate on a roof repair after the storms earlier this year He came out and did the estimate and I happened to ask about a roof replacement. He did the estimate for that a few days later which was a great rate . He kept in contact with me as the process went along as it was a little difficult to get the paperwork in order due to some unforeseen issues on my house. When we were able to get the paperwork done , he told me the day they would start and showed up at the time stated. His employees were really polite and professional and went right to work. In 2 days, I had the new roof installed and all work was completed as promised. Cisco and his crew were professionals from the bidding process to finished product. He showed up when he said he was (pet peeve of mine with the trades), brought samples and thoroughly explained the process, submitted a very competitive bid with details on exactly what was included. His crew was courteous and efficient. They completed the job quickly and cleaned up their mess (another pet peeve). The finished product was great, never thought a roof would make such a difference in the curb appeal of my home. Calls to the listed number go to voicemail almost immediately nearly every time. Having left a voicemail several times without a call back I decided to give them one last call.Finally Francisco answered. He explained that they were busy and were booking around 5 weeks out. Sounds good to me. A busy business is a healthy business... Or so I thought. I asked to have someone drop by for a quote , exchanged address info, and we ended the call.....Days passed without a call back to actually schedule the quote. I began the process of calling and leaving voicemail's again, and after a few days managed to reach Francisco once more. We agreed that he would arrive onsite Monday April 25th at 2:00 PM PST. I ensured I was home and available , but no one arrived. At 3:10 PM I called to see where they were or if we should reschedule, but as you might have guessed it went to voicemail.I give up. How can you do business with someone who refuses to return calls? Refuses to keep appointments? Refuses to do quotes?My experience with Cisco's Roofing was thoroughly disappointing.Unless you enjoy endless amounts of leaving voicemail's, arranging time off from work, and finally being stood up for the appointment, don't bother calling Francisco.
