We have had Yancey Home Improvements do many projects on our home: bathroom remodels, a new patio cover, replacement of all of the exterior siding and most recently a new roof and rain gutters. From start to finish each project has gone very smoothly. A big shout out to the entire Yancey team from the sales groups, office and scheduling staff, project managers and all the different crews involved. Yancey Home Improvements is the roofing contractor that saved my home! Recently there was a storm here in Sacramento and my roof was leaking. I had no idea what to do and Yancey Home Improvements came to the rescue. Once the contractor made the visit, he educated me on what exactly was wrong with my roof. It needed a replacement right away otherwise the problem was going to get much worse. They explained to me the options which included financing. Turn around was quick and my roof and home were saved. This company nothing short of a blessing. Thank you Yancey Home Improvements!

The company replaced my midtown apartment building roof in a professional manner. Yancey spent 5 days to tear off and install the whole roof with good quality shingle according to the contract including vents and gutters in a timely manner. there was no issues during the smooth installation. When I learned that a "repair" on our roof would be replacing a large portion of it rather than patching a few problem areas-my neighbor referred me to Yancey Home Improvements.Brian Crane came to meet with me, he has always been punctual and communicates effectively. He quoted a very reasonable price, never pressured me to buy, and he didn't try to oversell on anything. He kept in touch with me throughout the process to ensure everything went well.When one issue arose (that wasn't his fault), I contacted him directly and he immediately came out to address it without question.During the process of renovating my older 4,500 SF home, I have worked with many contractors. Will give a good talk, even sound like a good deal up front, but then find an excuse & hit you with a large over priced change order to make up cost. Act more like flybynight then a reliable contractor you can depend on helping to get the job done right and at a reasonable cost. Unfortunately expect you to pay their entire business operational cost with exorbitant mark ups. Yancey came in and took care of all the needed repairs and upgrades on our newly purchased older home, including a new roof and all the vents that the home needed. They worked closely with me to find any other tasks that I wanted done to make my home ready for summer comfort, and it has been a complete success. Due to their professionalism, we got much more done than we thought we would be able to. I would be glad to have them take on any other large project that we might have.

It’s almost a year and still no regrets about going solar with Yancey Home Improvement. My electric monthly charges for December 2016 was $250.00 and 2017 only $10.51. My YTD estimated NEM charged at true-up (April 2018) is $113.48, and that’s only because I had a water issue last year and had to run 12 dryers and 4 dehumidifiers 24 hours over a period of 5 days. If I didn’t have the water leak my true up would be a negative number. So why am I writing the review today? Well I just met my new neighbors, we have the same floorplan, same square footage, same number of solar panels, same system size but we didn’t pay the same price. As crazy as it seems she paid $10,000 more for her system going through another company (we both purchased our systems outright). She ended our conversation by saying I wish I had met you before I had my solar installed. So, I am shouting for my solar roof top, if you are interested in going solar please take Yancey home improvements into consideration.

Garbage company, I hired them through Tesla because my roof was not good for sun panels and they did it and all of a sudden after a few years rain got really bad and my sons room had mold in it and it turned out that the attic was drenched with water that made my sons ceiling had mold on it and I paid for the damage because they only warranty their work for a year after that it’s no good. Garbage company don’t hire them at all.Service: Roof installation

There are so many reasons for posting this review regarding the extraordinary professionalism and superior customer service provided by the outstanding staff of Yancey Home Improvement; a few I will share and you will immediately understand and fill in the many more reasons not posted here.First: Shawna--Shawna is the first point of contact with Yancey and immediately upon first communication a rapport is established, instilling trust, support, sincerity, value of customers, and honesty in dealings. The initial contact with a company is paramount in the decision-making of a customer. Without a doubt, Shawna dispels any hesitation in a customer's reticence in contracting with Yancey Home Improvements. It is my point of view that the traits noted above are innate-this is just Shawna 's person and Yancey is lucky to have such a valuable person on staff.Second: The service staff (Patrick and Saul Torres--only members of staff with whom I have dealt) were timely on arrival date for the re-roofing, thorough in workmanship and quality assurance, and attentive to clean-up. A small problem arose. Immediately Saul was on site to resolve the issue. There were a few possibilities in correction and"WE." Patrick, Saul and I brain-stormed. Yes, you read this correctly-"WE." My input was valued and taken into consideration. How often do you find this happening with a company? Especially when the owner has a say and the professional is secure to allow this teaming to happen. This is Yancey!I will end on this note. If you wish more, it can be provided. I WOULD NEVER FEEL COMFORTABLE HAVING ANYONE BUT "YANCEY HOME IMPROVEMENTS" DO MY ROOFING. MY WIFE LIZ & I HAVE HAD TWO OF OUR BUILDINGS (WE HAVE APARTMENT HOUSES) RE-ROOFED RECENTLY AND HAD A VERY AGREEABLE TRANSACTION. TOM, ERIC, PAT & THE OFFICE CREW WERE FANTASTIC. IN THE PAST I HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH A ROOFER. AS SOON AS THE FIRST RAINS CAME MY HOME WAS LIKE NIAGRA FALLS. ANYONE CAN NAIL A ROOF ON BUT WHEN IT COMES TO INSTALLING FLASHING ONLY THE PROS GET IT RIGHT, ALSO THEY NEED TO HAVE INSURANCE SO IF ANYONE DOES GET HURT THEY DO NOT OWN YOUR PROPERTY.
