When our ancient water heater began leaking, I connected with six different companies for estimates on a tankless replacement. Of four companies that sent a rep to visit -- two provided dubious estimates sight unseen -- Emory was the last I met with, but quickest, most straightforward, and least expensive. No arm twisting, no sales pitch, just a quick 10-minute conversation, an eyeball estimate and a promise to deliver a formal quote by the following morning. I received a quote that night within 3% of the original estimate, and less than half of the highest quote I'd received, but I had a few questions that I emailed late that night. Woke up the next morning, checked to find a response answering all my questions, and accepted the bid. Emory's plumbers arrived the following day while I was at work. I drove home, opened the garage and was surprised to find the whole job done as promised, but in just a few hours in my absence.Responsive, straightforward, high-value, quality service: I'm psyched to have found a great group of plumbers!

Last year, our bathtub in the guest bathroom started draining very slowly. We tried to snake it ourselves but had no luck; we had our neighborhood plumber come out, and again, no luck.We called Emory Plumbing, and Carlos came out to give us a quote.He completed it in under 3 hours and ended up replacing part of the old pipe that was off-center, and now we can use the tub again! Yay!We appreciate Carlos's professionalism, quick response, and fantastic service, and we recommend Emory Plumbing.

Exceptional Plumbing Outfit I started using after a referral from one of the top Custom Contractors in San Diego. I have since used them for small jobs as well as more major plumbing mishaps. Their crews have been exceptionally prompt, reliable, effecient, and extremely knowledgable (about even the more complex problems). After multiple jobs (four), I honestly could not be happier and definitely reach out to them as our go-to plumber.

The company's call answering service is terrible, doesn't know how to provide information, doesn't return calls, doesn't send information by email. I spent three days waiting for a plumber without any response, and after insisting on the service she hung up on me. I suggest better customer service whether via chat or the company website.

The Emory Plumbing team saved us :) We had an emergency gas leak + lock out. They were a little far from their normal service area, but they came, identified the issue, worked with our city and gas provider, and got us unlocked in a very short amount of time. I had a really good experience with this company. I was trying to save money on getting a new toilet installed. They were the best price I found after calling 4 other companies. But wait there's more. With a good price also came good service! Which is kinda hard to find. The service technician didn't drag out the appointment, he was very informative, and left my bathroom better than he found it. I definitely will be using them again!!!!!!!

Avoid using this company. I took a half day off of work to oversee some plumbing work in my rental property because my tenant was going to be at work. Plumber was to arrive sometime between 1-4, and they were to call me 30 minutes prior to arrival so that I could meet them at the unit and let them in. I never did receive a phone call, and when I phoned the company at 4:10 to find out what happened they told me that the plumber showed up to the address but no one was home. Their excuse was that the plumber did not see the note on the work order to call me 30 minutes prior to arrival. My beefs: first, why didn't the plumber check the work order for notes, and second, why didn't he/she try to call me when s/he arrived and found no one at the unit? Don't waste your time with this poorly managed company. I would've given them 0 stars if that were an option.

Having problems with hot/cold water not maintaining the selected mix properly for the duration of the shower. Once desired temperature is selected and the shower runs for a few minutes, the temperature fluctuates from "just right" to scalding hot, then back and forth between that and drastically cold, back to "just right" and through the cycle again. It's frightening and for the elderly - jumping out of the range of the stream is a feat hard to capture. The cartridge that performs this magic function was replaced and my shower now delivers the temperature I select for the duration of my shower. (Hallellujah!!)This is a problem I've had over the past 27 years here in my condo. I've had the cartridge replaced at least six, maybe seven times over this period.The plumber I've used all these years can no long service third floor units, so Emory was referred to me and I must say I was thoroughly pleased from the initial phone call to the service rendered by Carlos. I’m in the process of purchasing a home and requested Emory’s Plumbing & Camera inspection in order to get a better idea of the state of the plumbing of the home I’m buying. However, I was not present at either inspection because I was on the East Coast for work.Emory Plumbing did what was expected of them; hence, me giving Emory three stars. They conducted an inspection and provided results. However, the manner in which this was conducted and the quality of the report left more to be desired. The visual inspection was completed without any issues. But when it came to the camera inspection, the technician could not complete it because there was no clean out. So, the technician had to come back another day to complete it. Therefore taking more time out of our day. I wonder if this could have been avoided if there were more detailed questions asked of me when I made the appointment and issues like this were anticipated by technicians. Additionally, Emory gives their clients time windows (standard, of course), but having to make another appointment for a house I don’t own was an inconvenience to many more people than just my real estate agent.Considering that I could not be present for these appointment, it would have been helpful to get a quick phone call from the technician to give me a summary of the state of the plumbing. I did not need a full list but a courtesy call would have been helpful to assuage my concerns about the plumbing of the home I am about to buy. Instead, I had to call multiple times and when told that I would receive a call back, I heard nothing from Emory. When I did speak to someone, it was not even a technician. However, she did have a good grasp of the issues but could not speak to the specific detail of the home’s plumbing. Her customer service the best out of the all the people I dealt with, but it did not come without a bit of prompting on my end.I received the report 48 hours after the inspection. The report consisted of 1 page just stating the issue and a repair cost estimate. There were no pictures, no detail about the proposed repair for items that were more technical in nature, no explanation of the repair cost estimate nor did they include labor in their estimate. In sum, a substandard product.I would like to give Emory Plumbing the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps had I been present for the inspections, I would have had a better experience. But when I explained my situation, they did little to address my needs. It does not take much effort to return calls nor to provide a bit more detail in a report. I would recommend that Emory review their inspections reports to provide more detail and be more transparent in their repair estimates and to include an estimate on labor costs. Additionally, I would recommend that Emory improve their customer service procedures to include a follow up with their clients.

Emory blew us away, quickly coming to our rescue. Classic homeowner (condo) problem: plumbing emergency at 3:00pm on a Friday. Broken valves on the clothes washer, requiring a full shut-off from the main. And we had dinner guests coming. What to do? On the advice of our neighbor, we called Emory. Emory was AMAZING. They listened and quickly understood our problem. And within 30 minutes two of their courteous, professional plumbers were at our door with everything needed to repair the problem. They were in and out in a jiffy, and the bill was far less than I anticipated. While I hope we don't need plumbers often, I know who we will call when we do. On this go-around, we needed our tankless water heater serviced. The plumber was extremely friendly, got the job done and explained the process and results to my wife thoroughly. Wow! What a fantastic experience! I called Emory and they showed up within 15 minutes. Both Carlos and his partner were extremely polite and courteous. They took care of the problem within minutes, explained the issue, and made sure the bathroom and their work area was spotlessly clean before they left.I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Emory Plumbing. I needed repair fast and Emory came to the rescue quickly and professionally. The office scheduled the appointment with ease. The same day service promptly came at the expected time. Called Emory for a water heater draining and cleaning service. I never had it cleaned before. I was originally looking to do it myself but glad I had them do it for me. A lot more complicated than just draining the water out. They came, they saw, they pumped...now my water heater is running efficient and ready to go for the fall/winter. Very gracious after I bungled our appointment. Had a bad clog in a rental property at the start of a week-end and my tenants were anxious to have service ASAP. Called several plumbers. Booked Emory for a Monday appointment, but then got a response from a plumber able to respond ASAP, so I went with him.Unfortunately, I completely forgot about having made a Monday appointment with Emory. On the Monday of the scheduled visit, they called to confirm the appointment. Luckily I was able to take the call right away and tell them I already had the service performed and was very sorry I neglected to cancel our appointment.The Emory rep. I spoke with was very gracious which made me feel less like an idiot for failing to cancel the appointment. I understand time is money in a small business and customers who don't keep appointments can be costly and very annoying. I felt terrible about my oversight, but was quite relieved that my error was caught before they arrived for the service and that they were more than professional in the face of my error.Plumbing urgencies can be very stressful: Not only is it important for a plumber to be able to quickly and competently solve the technical problem, good ones understand the anxiety of their customers and can successfully relieve the stress.

We busted our main water line from the street over the weekend and called Emory based on positive past experience replacing our gas lines. On Saturday evening, Jose was on site within 30 minutes to assess the situation. He had to pick up some extra parts and returned to complete the job to restore our water in under two hours from when we called. Great turnaround time, up front about costs, and great service. We felt comfortable with Emory despite what could have been a crisis over the weekend. Look forward to working together in the future.

Emory Plumbing was referred to me by a family member who has used their services off an on for many years with great results. They lived up to their reputation with my first service call. After two handyman had tried to troubleshoot a malfunctioning shower and advised I'd probably have to rip out the handle mechanism by making a hole in the wall, I called Emory for a third opinion. Their plumber showed up on time and did not leave until he figured out what was wrong and fixed it. (..and it did not require making a hole in the wall but instead was a faulty part). I cannot rave enough about the incredible service I received from this company and its individual employees. They came after hours and once we realized the wrong size tank was delivered Francisco came the next morning at 6:30 AM once the warehouse had opened to install immediately so my family could have hot water to begin the workday.
