We employed the services of Barber Construction upon the strong recommendation by our architect. In fact, our architect was so confident of their services that he proposed we use them and not go through the traditional bidding process. Initially we were somewhat reluctant as we were constructing a sizable second office that would require a substantial investment. However, our architect was very reputable and proficient and we therefore went with his recommendation. At our initial meeting, Ty assured us that once he bids the project, he does not charge us for change orders. We found that hard to believe as it seems in construction change orders are one of the biggest issues and cost factors.Our experience with Ty Barber and his crew was very incredibly positive. It was a pleasure working with Ty and his team. They were professional, efficient, competitive, and their adherence to quality was evident along the way. Ty is diligent about his work and very detailed oriented but he also has a very relaxed and friendly attitude. The team strives to ensure that they take fully take care of their client. Their workmanship is outstanding, but as emphasized in an earlier review he is unique in the construction industry by not charging for changes and modifications. It is common for other contractors to strive to profit from change orders. He is true to his word with his standard adage of “I will take care of it” and he does.I would highly recommend Ty Barber for your construction project. Clearly, for another professional (our architect) to only recommend Ty Barber says it all.

Ty is a talker and that is all he is. He cut corners where you can't see, and lies about what is needed. He says he has crew to do all the work and won't subcontract out, all lies. He subcontractors wont finish work because he didn't pay them. His friend who does cabinet work quit my project in midway because of issues with him. He didn't finish my project and is always short on money and asking for money early. Don't trust this contractor unless you want to find a lot of headaches later down the line that was out of sight. All plumbing problems!! cold water tapped from hot water tank supply, so when you have hot water heater issue, you will have to shut off your cold water along with it. Drains not done, leading to flooding!!!
