Sun Run replaced my roof due to storm damage that was caused by the company cutting my roof and installing solar panels on roof that was 17 years old. Since March 2023 after dealing with SunRun it was set to replace my roof in July 2023. SunRun has a contract with Troy Roofing. When I asked Troy Roofing what type of material they used they referred me back to Sun Run . Ask for the warranty referred back to Sun Run. Found out that they did not get a permit they thought that SunRun did it or that my job was not a roof replacement. They ran and got a permit in September 2 months later , but only after I called them and spoke to the office manager Danielle.The skylight / sun tunnel covers fell while they were roofing the house were left on the floor and never put back up inside my home, so to say the least one of the covers is now broken, left eaves unpainted, nails hanging from the boards. What I was told by the city inspector is they did the bare minimum. I had another contractor came out to quote other damage that solar panels caused.He looked straight up at the garage roof and said "when it rains it's going to leak." They did not properly install the roof there . This company hides behind SunRun. They avoid you like the plague when it comes to fixing problems they caused. If SunRun Solar says they're going to use this company to fix your roof don't walk run. When the city inspector came out Troy Roofing expected to just get it signed off. They did send a really nice rep named Matthew but they sent him without tools to even fix the problems or fix the sun tunnels/skylights. The city inspector asked me if I had signed anything regarding the roof replacement I told him no. Next stop their insurance company to pay for the items that were not finished or damaged. Then possibly the state contractor board. Just to let you know if attorney's get involved with SunRun you going to be there right along with them. Hope SunRun doesn't throw you under bus.Services: Roof installation, Roof damage repair

Doing solar is a multi step process with electricians, PGE, roofers and solar installers.As a Sunrun chosen roofer I didn't know what to expect. I have to say Troy and the crew at Troy Roofing removed all my old concrete roof, swept up after themselves, communicated quickly, never showed up late, remembered to do what was promised, made sure everything was protected, has a crew of 13 guys come so the demo. Troy led from the front and the team worked seamlessly. I stood there and watch the process like clockwork. Then the new roof was put on exactly how it should have been. They even came back a 4th day to do the final touches exactly how I wanted things done.Kudos to the Troy roofing team!Service: Roof installation

Did a reroof on our house, only completed half the job then insisted the job was finished completely. After months of back and forth they finally came and finished the job correctly. 7 months later we have major leaks, expert found several areas that where not sealed. Walls, carpet and floor all damaged from water. Avoid them like your life depends on it, terrible service!Service: Roof installation

I really grew to trust Troy Roofing because Michael really showed me a bunch of different options and didnt just one thing like a bunch of other guys. We knew we needed a roof for years, but we kept putting it off. Roofing is a big investment and such an important part of the home.Anthony was the only roofer who went into the attic - he found a ton of water damage from leaking even though we hadn’t seen any leaking in the ceiling or walls, but the roof was still failing us.We are so thankful that Anthony showed us how urgent our situation was, they started the roof the next week and finished in 4-days from tear-off to final inspection approval. Incredible efficient and extremely friendly guys who love what they do.I would venture to say Troy Roofing & Roof Removal is the best roofing company in Southern California!!

They came right on schedule, immediately assessed the repair job requirements and even took the initiative of checking the entire roof for any other issues.
