There's always cool trucks and neat off road rigs in the parking lot every time I come to this Yucca Valley location! Gotta love the high desert. 😍

Yucca Valley CaliforniaThis is the friendliest Home Depot I’ve ever been too. Every staff member smiles at you. Our Home Depot’s in Utah are so different. Employees at ours literally avoid eye contact. This store has an impressive tool and equipment rental section. I saw at a distance, smaller hand tools and floor care among other things, clear up to larger equipments, tractors and etc. The young gal in the paint section was great. Our cashier Shawna was amazing. She has a great disposition and just seemed happy to help us. You won’t be disappointed if you stop at this Home Depot. It’s a breath of FRESH AIR just walking in and seeing happy, helpful employees. We’ve been several times and this store never disappoints!!Add-On5 visits in 3 days , trying to get projects finished! The chain was all tangled up like Christmas lights. Don came to the rescue and was a huge help.9:30 pm we were back again, out in the garden center. The new gentleman that recently moved there from Pam Springs was awesome. He helped us figure out what to get and then hauled it through the store for us. We feel bad we didn’t catch his name. Thanks for your help.

Great selection of building and home improvement materials at very good prices. staff generally very helpful and knowledgeable.Feb2023 update... This place is still great, although prices quite higher than 3 years ago! They also have a 1st Saturday of the month kids clinic, where the little one get to assemble and paint a small project provided by HD... For free. Good times!

They were able to rent out a truck for a very short period of time, and that enabled my family member to collect the large big screen TV and me from outside a auto repair shop where our disabled truck was being fixed. thanks for the great service.

I'm new to the area and my experience here was terrible. I was looking for a replacement lock for a USPS mailbox and was directed here by a Supervisor at the local USPS office. There were no associates around at the time in the area where these locks were, so I wandered to the next aisle and found an employee and asked for help/assistance. This woman was rude and dismissive. She quickly told me "the lock will work because it's universal".I asked her if she's sure because I already had to return a lock recently purchased here because it didn't fit despite what another employee told me. I even had the old USPS lock to show her for comparison. She gave me an attitude followed with a sigh and said "it will work". Then proceeded to say she didn't know what else to "say about it" or "assist in the matter".The least she could have done was admit she wasn't sure and asked for assistance from another employee who actually worked in the department. I ended up buying this lock and had to come back again for a refund because it didn't properly fit. This time, the employee at the Customer Service Center was actually helpful and respectful. She even called for an employee from the department for additional assistance. To my surprise, I was told Home Depot doesn't actually carry any locks that properly fits USPS mailboxes and I'd have to see an actual locksmith. I could have been told this from the start and prevent this back and forth nonsense had I've been properly helped before. Sure, the USPS Supervisor also made the mistake of directing me to the wrong place, but Home Depot didn't help make the matter better.I'm a disabled Veteran and have neck and back injuries. Walking around like this can aggravate my pain and add to my frustration especially on a rather warm day. I only gave 2 stars because of the proper help I finally received at Customer Service. My rating would obviously have been higher had I not been put through additional and unnecessary frustration from the other employee.

My experience is not for the faint of heart. So I do a lot of handyman work out in Landers and yucca. So I'm actually there a lot. This happens quite frequently. I'll go in looking for something specific and not sure exactly where to find it. I'll ask somebody and they'll tell me oh it's on aisle such and such, so I say thank you very much. I will go to aisle such and such, and it's not there. I'll ask another person, they'll tell me something different. I'll go there and it won't be there either. So finally the third person actually looked it up on their directory and told me exactly where it was, although it was not exactly where they said lol but it was closer in the ballpark. If it weren't for the young ladies at the pro desk, I would chop a tree down and make my own wood, or that would actually be make my own boards ;-) as always, if you choose to visit the home Depot in yucca, I pray that your experience is different than mine.Just an update, unfortunately this home Depot is the closest to the jobs that I work at. Numerous occasions I have experienced employees that did not even know the items that I was looking for. As stated before, I constantly get told the wrong places to look for what I need. But this update is mostly about tool rentals. I rented a chainsaw for 24 hours, was told it had a new chain on it. The employee who assisted me did not even know how to start a chainsaw. I had to instruct him not to use the choke but just get it gas. When he did that it started right up, after he took the plug out and wiped it off because he had fouled it. So after getting back to the job site, I was able to cut down three out of 10 small trunks and then the chain was no longer even good enough to do any more tree stumps. Not to mention the representative at home Depot sent me with very little bar oil and gasoline. The chainsaw that I rented went through more chain oil than it did gasoline. With a good running chainsaw you should go through about as much chain oil as you do gas. You fill them both up at the same time as they should both be needing it. I guarantee I will not rent tools from home Depot again. I will simply find a tool rental shop.As always, this is only my experience on this day. I hope that if you find yourself at home Depot on 29 palms, may your experience be better than mine.

Very helpful staff, not all of them know which key is for the lock for the propane exchange. But they are very kind and approachable.

Love this place and buy everything here. Except Today. I was pissed at policy that did not accept digital version of license. Wasn’t carrying my credit card and wanted to buy an item urgently. Previously HD used to accept the SSN and pay by HD card. Not anymore. Luckily the same item was available at next door Walmart. Plus Walmart accepts Walmart pay thru their app. Hope HD can update their policy or you’ll be loosing business like this in the digital age.

"We had the pleasure of working with Tina at the Yucca Valley Home Depot and I must say, she went above and beyond to assist us with my Tuff Shed purchase. Not only did she provide excellent customer service, but she was also very knowledgeable about the product and helped us choose the perfect shed for our needs. We would highly recommend Tina to anyone looking for a helpful and friendly sales associate."

Amazing customer service! I’ve been wanting to do a board and batten entryway for quite some time now and Mike G. was so helpful by assisting me with finding lumber (that wouldn’t cost me a pretty penny) and cutting my measurements! Thank you so much for caring for your customers!

I waited over 40 minutes to get some wood cut. They never came. They even announced it over the intercom that I needed it cut. I rather go to Lowes and give them my business . All these lazy workers walking around not wanting to work

This store is quite unique. I’ve never been to a Home Depot that all the employees greet you and are pleasant to deal with. It must be something to do with the desert air.

CheapThis store is filled with cheap Chinese junk. They don’t stock materials that fit the area it serves. What numbskull plants grass in the high desert, only someone who doesn’t realize water is precious in the desert!

The staff is friendly and helpful here. I usually find what I am looking for. The only problem is their pickup. You have to go in, because for some reason the drive up has issues.

Went to HD this time to exchange two plants that died even though their tag said full sun. Evidently full sun meant full sun by the coast, not the middle of the Mojave desert where I live. Wish they would specify. Roses, asparagus, white onions, jasmine (not blooming anymore), gardinia (in 1/2 day shade not blooming), and cacti are doing well in direct all day sun.

Honestly, We had to drive up to the Yucca Valley store from Beaumont for a Hot Water Heater. The cashier was very nice when helping us at returns. That was very nice of them. But, getting someone to help us load it into the SUV was another story. It took 40 mins and two calls for a young man from the lot to help us. And then he was not friendly at all. Even with all of that I still was gonna tip him for the help but, I was stopped by My Friend. And sbe ended up calling the MOD later that day. Thanks

Was there to get a few things. One item required help from an associate. Asked for assistance, was told it should be 5 or so minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting, I decided I no longer needed the $150 item and left...

If you want to waste time waiting forever at your home for a delivery, have your stuff delivered by Home Depot. There is no communication on deliveries with the delivery truck and you will be waiting literally all day to hear something. Make sure you have plenty of food and don't need to take care of any other important life needs while you wait. The narrowest time frame you can get is "6am to 8pm"

Needed 40ft of 8-2 cable. They had it listed for sale, but would not cut the cable I needed and insisted that I needed to purchase a 125 ft roll.I would have happily purchased a 50ft roll (which they had in stock for EVERY OTHER WIRE SIZE) but none were listed for sale.
