My journey with Academy Roofing started with the owner Curt Boyd actually coming to my home to review my situation. Not sure that happens all the time but it did for me. His honesty, candor, knowledge and sincerity was refreshing. Curt put me in touch with Tom C the director of sales. Tom was also incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional. It was time to get a quote and I reached out to 3 roofing companies including Academy. I'm not kidding I had to do a double take when I saw the quote because it truly was thousands I mean thousands below the other two roofers. I called Tom to make sure the quote included the entire roof and he assured me it did. I moved forward with a smile on my face. There was a little hiccup with communicating the arrival of the shingles but at the end of the day it worked out. Now for the execution of the bid and I have to share that Baudelio was on top of managing the crew and communicated constantly with me on what to expect. He's a winner. I believe Jeff oversaw the entire project and let me tell you whatever Academy is paying Jeff it isn't enough. I was concerned it was too cold for the shingles to go on in early January but Jeff communicated extensively that all will be good. When I texted Jeff about final inspection, the man came out the same day and did a thorough inspection assuring me no shingles are flying off anytime soon. If you happen to be in the market for a roof Academy Roofing is highly recommended. Finally this is not a paid endorsement just a happy customer who was concerned that a new roof installation was like a root canal.

I cannot say enough positive information on this wonderful company — from the first call, to guys coming out to check what needed to be fixed on my roof (& my skylights) to keeping me updated on my order, time they were hoping to come out to work on my house to the crew that was sent to do the work (3 guys, ALL amazing men, working thru bitter cold temperatures and doing a beautiful job) to the finished product. What more could anyone ask for — they are FABULOUS!

I first used Academy Roofing back in 2001 when they put the roof on my newly constructed house. There were no problems.They did a great job.Fast-forward to yesterday. With all the rain in the last few days it was not surprising that water started pouring out of the bathroom vent fan. I disconnected the power and called Academy Roofing.I was answered immediately by an intelligent person. They sent out Jeff to evaluate the problems, which he did in about 3 minutes. He then pulled a latter from his truck, climbed on roof and fixed the problem in another 10 minutes. Because I was a former client: HE REFUSED TO BILL ME! I was so grateful, that I gave him all the cash in my wallet. Why deal with lesser service?

We were in the process of selling our home. inspection came in that the roof and shingles were losing granular integrity. We contacted the shingle manufacturer for warranty claim information and we were put in contact with Academy Roofing. From start to finish, they were so helpful patient and understanding that we needed the roof done in such a way that the new owners would be the new warranty owners. Hannah took call after call from me and was reassuring that it would be done the way it needed from paperwork to timing. She responded very promptly to emails that we sent, returned calls when she wasn't in the office, and when she was in the office, answered all my questions. Really made this as enjoyable process as it could be.it continued down to the project managers Baudelio Castro and Daniel Ritter. Every morning, one of them were at our front door asking if we had any questions and keeping us updated on the progress and the timetable for completion. They were accommodating when we needed some help with getting our lawn mower on to the property by moving their equipment as well. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Our house is nearly a hundred years old and no one we had talked to previously could fabricate a convoluted downspout replacement that would not replicate the inherent design problem with debris removal. Academy took the time to inspect and discuss the problem and came up with a solution that involved a custom fabrication. They installed an effective temporary stopgap while fabricating the inventive solution in their shop.They even painted the finished product to match. And the price was entirely reasonable, IMHO. Wow. I had a leaky chimney cap on a wooden structure, and I was unsure who to call for help. I left messages with a few chimney repair companies that seemed to focus on bricks and cleaning, but Academy answered the phone and sent an estimator out a few days after my call. I did not know to call what I needed a "chimney cap" until the person on the other end of the phone educated me. I'm glad he could work with words like "thingy." The sales process was good and very informative, but the guys they sent out were fantastic. I do not expect my little piece of creased sheet metal was a big project for the installers, but you wouldn't know it by their behavior. The installers made me feel like my chimney was all that mattered to them, and they worked diligently to finish the job with good quality. I could tell they were proud of their work, and I don't think I will need to call Academy again until my roof needs replaced. When I do need a roof in the future, I will not consider calling anyone else after this experience.
