Very unethical company that will not stand behind their warranty for an incredibly pricey and sub par product. Do not consider this product if your in the market for a new roof, ours is 6 years old, has been repaired and is in complete shambles again, with no help or response in any timely fashion from the rep or the CEO.

We live high in the Colorado Rockies in a rather harsh environment at over 7000 feett. 5 years into our CeDUR install and 50 year warranty and I am getting worried. We have long runs of shingles that are cuppng, curling and cracking. The CeDUR folks hhave been good about coming out to assess the roof and offer replacement shingles. Mr. Konrad Bolowich inspected the roof, deemed that it was well installed, and was very complimentary of the "flow" and natural appearance of the roof. True, it does look like my old, natural cedar shake roof, imperfections and all. Mr. Bolowish reassured me that after 5 years the fading, degradation, and chemical change process of the material would cease, and I should not see further changes. He assured me that they woould replace broken or badly curled shingles and pay for the installation labor and get me a recommendation on a certified roofing company.

Do Not do business with this company. The product is sub par. It breaks like chips in a slight wind. When they say they will replace it they do not follow through. I have been trying to get my issue resolved for close to a year now. The cost of the product is incredibly high and you would expect a better experience.

First things first, Cedur will do anything they can to NOT warranty their products. Just bought a home built five years ago, went to transfer the warranty and was told, by Cedur, there never was a warranty, since the roofing company didn't file the proper paperwork.Secondly, the product is degrading and pitting. I was told it is totally normal and not to worry about it, again by Cedur. Great, but I still don't like the idea of micro-plastics in my yard.Lastly, today a small storm front blew through our area that had 60 mile per hour wind gusts - result: broken shingles in the yard.If you call Cedur, they will tell you they stand behind their product 100%. Absolutely not true. If you are thinking of purchasing a Cedur roof, think again, you might get duped.

As a contractor that has installed several hundred squares of CeDUR I can speak from experience that it's one of the best roofing products on the market today! It's super durable and hail resistant, I've never seen a product preform so well to fire tests, it installs easily, and there is no better looking roof on the market! CeDUR's team is always there to help us when we need it, and their customer service is definitely a step above every other manufacturer that I work with!I also love that CeDUR is one of the most environmentally sustainable products. Since it''s made of super dense foam it helps insulate your home and cut energy cost significantly, and you will likely never need to replace your roof again! Roofing is one of the most wasteful industries that I know of. The best way to help reduce that waste, and keep everyone's insurance rates from skyrocketing, is to invest in a CeDUR roof that will stand the test of time.

After 20 years, it was time to replace the old cedar shakes on the shed I'd built from scratch. What can I say, but these synthetic shakes have come a long way. I found them light weight, and very easy to work with. Having worked with cedar before, these shakes handle very much like the real thing, and I love the final look. Having been exposed for a week now, I can tell they're already showing signs of "ageing in", and maturing in color.At first, I wasn't sure Cedur would supply a small project like this, but Dave was great to work with, providing all the info I needed to make a decision, and answering any questions I had. I don't think my local roofing supplier I've purchased from before had ever seen these, and they seemed very interested....Lastly to Cedur, thanks for sending these way ahead of the estimated delivery time; that saved me a lot of grief!

UPDATE as of 7/25/23........My attorney continued to make attempts to get in touch with CeDUR. In early March he finally made contact with someone at CeDUR who said that my case was being handed off to their legal department and that someone would contact him shortly. To date there has been no communication from CeDUR. Also, to clarify, no one from CeDUR has ever met with me at my home to look at my curling roof tiles. This company does not stand behind their product.After much research, I selected CeDUR roof shakes to re-roof my home about 5 years ago. It was one of the most expensive options I considered. The installation was done by a professional installer and for the first few years it was happy with the product. Approximately 3 year ago I started noticing cupping with the larger shakes. The cupping has continued to worsen. As my home is near the coast in Southern California, the cupping was not due to extreme weather. I reached out to the roofer that installed the shakes and he indicated that this cupping was a problem.For the past year numerous attempts have been made to reach CeDUR to discuss this issue. To date there has been no response. I hired an attorney, and he has sent a few letters with no response from CeDUR. The product came with a 50 Year Warranty, but what good is that if the company is non-responsive?I cannot recommend the CeDUR roof shakes due to the failure of the product nor the company for their lack of professionalism.

Dont know if the product is any good or not because sales guy Dave Dalton was so difficult to work with i couldnt ever find out how much the stuff costs or if it was readily available etc.If you want reasonably responsive customer service, GO ELSEWHERE!
