We are very happy with the deck that Krueger Brothers built for us. Our old deck needed to be replaced and Krueger Brothers was able to build us a new deck that was very challenging given our location. The crew (Richard, Ronnie, Ricky, Austin, Chris and Semji) were very professional. They were always willing to answer my questions, showed up every day once the deck was started and never left a mess after the days work was done. I am so pleased with my experience with Krueger brothers construction! I had a difficult project in a tight space for a deck around our swim spa. I needed to have built-in seating on top as well. Krueger brothers exceeded my expectation in every way. The project is just stunning! I literally could not be happier . I've attached pictures to this review so you can see the awesomeness. We knew when we bought this house that it would need some work, but it seems like every stone we turn over reveals two more that need to be dealt with. Luckily Scott at Krueger believed in our vision for the house, gave great feedback and recommendations, and hooked us up with an excellent project manager in Josh. Our rickety back deck was replaced, all our ill-fitting windows and doors have been replaced, and the aging and moldy siding on the house removed and replaced with stucco. In the middle of our projects, that windstorm hit Colorado Springs and took out our fence. Scott came back and helped us plan a new fence that would work with our over-all vision for our home and be sturdy enough for years to come.All of the various crews who’ve worked on the place have been pleasant and responsive, and it’s been lovely to witness the great camaraderie they share - despite working in every kind of weather possible. The deck is beautiful, the windows and doors look good and (even better) keep the house quieter and more thermally stable. The stucco looks great and the neighbors agree the house looks better than it has in years (we don’t have any “after” pics yet, oops!)Josh and his teams also coordinated with our interior contractor so that the impact to our daily lives could be kept to the minimum possible disruption. Their agile problem solving when unexpected difficulties with the house or the property or the supplies came up is something we really appreciate.Scott, Josh, Joe, Jeff, Trent, Aaron, Trevor, Fabian, Candy, Edwin, and Brett have been a pleasure to work with. Salesman was awesome but communication was abysmal once we signed up to get the deck started. The concrete guys (Reyes Concrete) ignored my requests and dumped rocks all over my yard and then messed up a drain that Krueger had to send someone else back to fix, so now the concrete doesn't match there. The Timbertech deck materials seem decent enough but the job was rushed so there are a lot of rough edges and loose screws. The closer I look at the deck, the more issues I find so I try not to do that anymore.Only positives I can say are:The deck is nicer than what was there (which was literally rotting away).I never have to deal with this company again.

Aside from some supply issues/delays, the whole process from Danielle getting the ball rolling, Scott organizing and coordinating, and the crew of Fabian, Brett, Candelario, and Jason was just great! All were friendly and very professional. Any small issue that came up was promptly addressed and taken care of without hesitation. After receiving bids from multiple companies, I selected Krueger Brothers to tear down an existing deck and build a new one. I could not be more pleased. The experience started with Andrew coming out and working with me to understand my needs, and then to design the deck. He was great in going over everything and helping us select the right products.As we got closer to build time, Andrew brought out Brad the project manager and a team of folks to map out a detailed design.When the project started, we met Tex, Jason and Ronnie and the three of them set off working. The guys were not only professional and friendly, but I really enjoyed being around them - all three of them were great in answering all my questions, which I really appreciate!The last day, while Tex was gone, Aromond joined the team and helped wrap things up.My wife and I are so very pleased with the deck, and our family and friends love it as well.I highly recommend using Krueger Brothers Construction.

My wife and I just moved to Colorado Springs, bought our house, and needed to get our deck redone because it was unsafe. After looking at multiple reviews, we decided to go with Krueger Brothers Construction. I will break down this review into three parts pre-construction, during, and post-construction.Pre-construction- In Sep 2021, my wife and I ultimately decided to go with KB due to the fantastic reviews. They were very punctual and delivered a personally built booklet of our deck. Everything seemed to flow right, and our consultant told us that the project could be started in November 2021. After breaking down the numbers and rejecting multiple competitors, we decided to sign with KB. Our consultant told us that the KB team would reach out to keep us updated and even had us download an app to keep us updated. October came and went, and we did not get an update. November finally arrived, and I was updated that the job was pushed to Feb2022 after a team of 6 people came out to take measurements. I was introduced to our project manager and other people with different titles. Finally, after calling and inquiring about updates, KB informed me that the project got pushed up to late Jan22. Through this process, communication was not constant. If I had not kept calling, the project would have been delayed another month. In the pre-construction phase, I would give KB 2/5 stars due to the communication.Construction Phase- The workers where on it. They were so professional, prompt, and communicated with us throughout this process. This project contract was signed 04Oct21, but supplies were still delayed after being told all were at the KB warehouse. The workers still continued and took approximately seven days to complete my deck. I had concerns about siding gaps left after the deck was built, and eventually, the project manager had them filled. On day six, the workers came out for half a day but could not finish. This led over the weekend, and we had to wait until the following week to get our railings completed. The construction leader informed us that he let the lead manager know about needing an extra day, but his concerns were ignored. Monday came, and no one showed up. I called our project manager and he informed me that he sent his workers to another job site and couldn’t complete our job for another week. I informed our project manager that this was unacceptable and I needed our rails to be complete due to having small children and pets. Someone came out the next day to finish the job. I am still waiting for a final walkthrough of the project. The workers did amazing and would rate them 5/5 stars, and for the administration part, I would rate 1/5 stars. Again, communication lacking and not putting the current project at a high priority made it seem like KB was just pushing to start other jobs.Post-construction- I have not had a phone call to conduct a final walkthrough of the project and time to bring up concerns of the deck. Overall, this was a 53K$ job, and my wife and I feel like our time was not respected. Communicating updates, mismanagement of supplies, missed deadlines, and lack of manager presence made this job last longer than it had to. I believe that Matthew and Michael started a great company, but the administration process is cumbersome and very bureaucratic.Service: Remodeling

A July hailstorm destroyed 21 of our Pella windows in our foothills home which we built three decades ago.. My wife aand I chose Krueger Brothers for replaceement.. Despite subfreezing weather, the project went smoothly. Aaron was our Project Manager, and his team of Joe (foreman), Ryan, Andrew, and James were courteous, highly professional, and artisans in their work. It was fun working with them. They would be welcome in our home at any time in the future. My wife and I have contracted the remodel of two homes, built another, and finished-out a large professional office. Never before have we experienced such pleasure in a project. Every person with whom we have had contact with Krueger Brothers has been a delight, and the excellence of this company clearly originates with Michael and Matt, the owner-brothers. We are already contemplating future projects; there is no doubt that we will be working with Krueger Brothers Construction.

We contracted with Krueger Brothers for a deck project we wanted to pursue. After reaching out to numerous companies in the area for bids, KBros quickly became our first choice. Most other contractors were quick to tell us that what we wanted was too difficult, or told us that our project wasn’t “big” enough for them to take on (i.e.: that they only do uber fancy high dollar decks). We simply wanted to have a deck built on the back of our home, and have a door added leading from our 2nd story out onto the deck.From our first consultation meeting, KBros was professional, communicative, honest and committed to expertly giving us exactly what we wanted. Additional Comments: The trim around my tongue and groove deck ceiling began to separate approximately one year after my deck was completed. I contacted Krueger Brothers and they scheduled an immediate inspection. James arrived on time, assessed the situation, and fixed the problem in less than an hour at no charge. He was pleasant and professional throughout. Thanks James and Krueger Brothers!Original Post: Working with Krueger Brothers was a very positive experience from beginning to end. They collaborated with us on the front end to design a deck that met our needs and was within our budget. They then went the extra mile to obtain a variance from the city planning commission to enlarge our deck beyond existing limits. When constructing the deck, the crew was always professional, respectful, personable, responsive, and on time. My thanks to Mike Kinner for his design advice and Richard Shepard for his excellent project management. Krueger Brothers is working on our problem now. If this review is up, it means this situation is still happening.They started construction on a deck, siding, and front steps replacement in July.The concrete foundations were being dug in the wrong place, so my 83 year old dad noticed this and ran outside to talk to the workers. There was no foreman on site. The next day, they moved the holes to the correct location.UPDATE November 2023: Krueger Brothers came back and completely rebuilt the deck. The foreman on site was very experienced, understood the problem, and corrected it. It is not complete, but it's not wavy and the part that is built looks excellent.PREVIOUS REVIEW October 2023:They installed part of the deck, and the entire deck is wavy. See photos attached. This was installed in July, it’s now Mid October, and there has been zero progress. They say they’ll fix it, but it isn’t fixed yet.The front concrete steps were done incredibly poorly and then just left open with no railing. See picture. They’re all chipping and they look like they’re falling apart. They say they’ll fix it, but again it’s been 6 months and there has been no progress.My dad fell off the steps and down the hill because there is still no railing here. They did however take money for this work that all needs to be torn out.UPDATE November 2023:Krueger Brothers came out, and started work in November. They demoed the old siding and installed new waterproofing. When they demoed, they alerted us that the details we had worked out during our initial construction kickoff was not possible unless all the windows are replaced. We agreed to stop all work and ordered windows. The windows are coming in December, and after they are installed, Krueger Brothers promised to come back and install the siding. I only wish this had been discovered in the warmer months, so my parents house isn't going through a Colorado winter without siding.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The siding on the house was supposed to be redone in the warmer months, but they haven’t put it on and now it’s fall and cannot be installed until next year because of thermal contraction and the installation instructions.So if this review is up, it means they have yet to fix it. When the job is completed, I’ll change this review.

Krueger Brothers extended our deck and covered the deck. Andrew gave us a detailed and accurate bid and was there for us throughout the whole project. As project manager, Josh was open to our ideas and ensured we got the exact covered deck that we wanted. The process was professional, including requirements meetings and estimates with Andrew, great communication with Project Manager Richard, front office staff and cost information from Miguel. We were informed of how the process works and what to expect. The crew built to specification from us with little interaction needed. We didn’t need to be home for them to make good progress. We finally got our new deck! Danielle convinced us to go with Krueger Brothers even though they were more expensive than the other quotes we got. She even made some great suggestions, such as eliminating the step out of the house and making the deck level with the patio door. They got stalled when the city made me get a zoning variance, but they handled all the paper work for me and finally got going. It was amazing how many people were involved, but they were very well coordinated and I ended up with a very beautiful and well built deck. Krueger Bros. replaced my original deck. From the initial sales contact with Curtis, design by Semaj, pre-built meeting with Richard, everything went great. This was a relatively small project, but Krueger Bros were all in and kept me well advised and updated. The crew of Tex, Trent, Aaron and Jon, did a great job and were not only timely, but worked full days and confirmed minor details during the both demo and build. WOW – what an AMAZING job!For nearly two years, my wife and I discussed an addition to our existing porch. We contacted three contractors for bids and each of them made to process seem very simple, and each claiming there was little preparation work to do, and that concrete could just be poured against the existing siding, stucco, and stone. With some knowledge of construction, I had some reservations about the proposed approaches, so I contacted an engineering firm who confirmed my suspicions and said that waterproof barriers and flashing need to be installed behind the siding and stone before any concrete was poured.After gaining that key bit of knowledge and seeking out a quality contractor for another bid we received a recommendation from a friend who raved about the work that was done for them by Krueger Brothers Construction. We contacted them, and within a day Michael Krueger showed up and, without any prompting, provided a well described plan for the porch addition which included the waterproof barriers and needed flashing. I now knew I was working with a company that knew what they were doing.A few days later we received a very competitive bid and committed to the project. I cannot say enough about Krueger Brothers Construction and their commitment to serve their clients. Michael communicated with us about each phase of the project - when their crews would be there, what to expect, etc. The project is amazing and looks like it was there when the house was built – no ugly seams and the stucco and stonework is flawless!For those seeking a truly professional contractor and one who is committed to client service - I would strongly recommend Krueger Brother construction.Look forward to our next project with them -- replacing our windows and stucco work in the Spring.S.
