We reach out to Top Gun Restoration for our kitchen remodel in February 2023 for a quote. We have the owners of the company and the project supervisor came to our home to get the quote for our kitchen remodel and discuss what we wanted our kitchen to look like.Two weeks later, all three gentlemen’s visits our home again to finalize the materials for our kitchen cabinets and get all the measurements for the kitchen.About two to three weeks later, the company main office call and told us that they set up few appointments for us to go pick the material for our countertops, the sink, faucet, and backsplash.After the company received our kitchen cabinets from the manufacturer, they submitted to us the schedule of when they were going to start working on our kitchen. The kitchen renovation started on 16th May and completed on the 14th June.We want to let you all know that all the sub-contractors personnel and Top Gun personnel working on our project were very professional and do their individual job very well. We want to mention how great a job Mr. Tony did as a project supervisor. Tony was supervising few other projects as the same time our project was being worked on. He also made sure that every little detail of our kitchen project was installed properly and that there was no defects. Also, the owners of Top Gun paid a visit to our home few weeks later to check out how great the job their company did for us. I could not have asked for a more professional company and remodel than provided by Top Gun. The experience was everything I expected in hiring integrous contractors to complete a complex project in my home. Grab a beverage, snack and have a seat.My water heater corroded causing a myriad of problems in my bathroom, laundry & family rooms. In the end, I decided to fully remodel the bath/laundry room (as they are one) and the damage to the family room floor. Built around 1971 when there were fewer codes from which to adhere, having the work done in home brought standards up to current code.From the start, Top Gun staff, managers and workers have been professional, courteous, masters of their respective talents, good listeners to their client's needs, provided training and building suggestions when I asked their opinions. Clear communication, key in any field, has been abundant. This applies not only to Top Gun, but their collaborative contractors in demo, asbestos mitigation, electrical, plumbing, sheetrock repair, texturing/painting and tiling as well. When additional issues were discovered throughout the process, they were corrected, with or without my intervention. This is so unlike others' experiences where unexpected problems go ignored or covered up. Top Gun & partners' combined work speaks for itself in the attached pictures.Where most people seem to dread remodels, I've truly enjoyed the process. Part of it is having a 10-year remodel dream realized. Another is re-engaging with professionals in their respective fields who enjoy sharing their exceptional talents with the public. I retired several years ago due to health problems which took my focus off the working world. Pipe burst in the wall of our master bedroom on New Year’s Eve. Our insurance contracted this company.Individual showed 3 hours past agreed upon timeframe with a list of excuses like not being able to find keys, being blocked in at work, and a “non-English speaking colleague” being a no-show. Did not start the mitigation process; vacuumed some water when we had already done so with a shop vac and it was no dryer when he left (water still an inch over my feet). Did not set up fans or pull carpet back, leading to continued flood damage. Individual promised to arrive with a crew the next morning at 9am. After no contact all morning we called at 10:30 at which time more excuses were made. Individual showed up alone once again, citing a no-show colleague New Year’s Day.I contacted Marty (management) and requested to end services. It seemed he had no knowledge of what had taken place. He did respond professionally and agreed not to bill our insurance.We have had outstanding service with Servpro since discontinuing with Top Gun.

People…use Top Gun for all home projects!!!! We were SO impressed with every aspect of our water damage repairs. From Tony, who was our first contact, to Domion, our project manager, to James our painter, and Tom and crew for our wood floors and Dennis and crew who moved and prepped our home…everyone was professional and friendly and genuinely cared about the details to repair our home. Also we got a call every day telling us who would be coming and when!! It was so reassuring to have such great communication with them. Again we would HIGHLY recommend them and will use them again for any future home projects!!

Top Gun was an absolutely horrible experience and I strongly advise you seek another company for your work. We selected them for a home insurance repair due to a flooding pipe. The initial mitigation of our home went well, but it was all downhill from there. When spraying to cover up the water damage, they sprayed all over food, our exercise equipment and kitchen cabinets, with no effort to cover it up. They routinely told us the would return to complete work and then we would hear nothing for a week or more. The overall quality with the work was OK at some points, and the subcontractors we had in our home installing new flooring did a decent job. We ran into an issue with our flooring, and after 4 attempts on their end to fix it, in which they did nothing but send a different crew out to look at it, we finally had to tell our insurance we no longer wanted them in our home, leaving the project to be fixed by us instead. Their communication was awful, and if you get Bryce as your project manager ask for a new one. He was barely responsive, seemed to never have a clue what was going on, and constantly needed to be reminded of tasks to complete. At points he was even a little condescending. Most of the time, it took 3 to 4 phone calls to get anyone to respond back. They would always advise it was being worked on, but no results to show for it. Flooding in our kitchen took them 9 months to remove and replace flooring, and they didn't even finish the job. Like fools we asked them to repair some other floors in our home, and they over ordered flooring by almost 40 percent. All of that cost came out of my pocket and they pocketed the remaining. Our trim replacement was sloopy and left us with 3 different types. Even our insurance adjuster was unsure why they didn't do trim in some areas. Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness, qualities this business does not possess. Unfortunately this company was very unprofessional about just getting a simple quote. My journey with Top Gun started off with a quote for 100$ and at some point my point of contact was fired. Called back schedule another estimate and off to the races we went. The quote price climbed to $300. Due to my situation I said ok let’s move forward, I needed to get my project started. To wrap this up fast, i was escalated to another team member and the quote was raised to 500$. Keep in mind no one has come to actually look to even give me an idea or see the project. I said great let’s do it, to no avail, no one came no estimate was written weeks pass and I call back. I get sent to another supposedly project manager estimator, and now the price is 700$ for an estimate. At this point I was irritated. Months had passed and the could not deliver a proposal i was paying for. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Sam, he made promises of a quote in 3 days. This did not happen And he would go on to tell me he needed 2-3 days more and off business day. It never happened called again and I told him to do it when he could actually provide me with a bid/proposal/estimate for my project. It never happened he had about a month and he made a lot of promises that he did not keep. There not professional businessmen in my book. Be cautious this is my experience with them.

This company took from April until January to complete the siding project that was very minimal on my home. I am a single mom and my house sat in the elements for 5 months before any work was done. Then I had to wait an additional 3 for the finality. Everything was wrapped up early January and I had to have a check reissued from insurance. On February 15th this company sent me a notice that they were going to file a lien on my home claiming the bill was due December 1. This was harassment and incompetence at its best. Do not trust this company with your home. Eight months and I did not complain one time only to be served with a lien a month after completion. They have been paid and will be reported to insurance company and better business bureaus.In response to the following response. I was told that in order for everything to be completed I needed to set up a walk with Bryce the project manager which was scheduled for December 29th I do not know I was expected to pay before this was completed. Then I was told that was not necessary. The fact that your company takes no accountability says everything. Given the fact I was told the work would be completed July 15th and it was December seems that I should have been the one filing against your company. Terrible business owners and you’ve been reported. Bryce did not even know the workers had not been to my home in August and tried to get me to sign off on work done. I said excuse me but no one has been here. The debris of all the siding was left in my yard for five months and the home exposed to elements. This had nothing to do with my insurance company and their issues. The only mistake I made was not j forming themMuch earlier of your incompetence. The fact I was understanding of the lack of punctuality and furthermore communication breakdowns only furthers my point that issuing a notice to place a lien within a month of signing certificate of completion is a terrible business practice. You’ve been reported to my insurance company and I will continue to report you. I hope everyone who sees this is VERY CAUTIOUS with this shady business. Not to mention the final cost was about $2000 more than original estimate.I have seen reviews with similar experiences as mine. Mostly staying punctuality and communication as well as price much higher than originally agreed with no accountability from company. You should know they also do not accept reviews on face ooo and blocked when I commented my concern. I have not had a phone call or follow up email from any management as requested.

I highly recommend Top Gun Restoration for any repairs or services. These guys know what they're doing and will do it with the utmost respect and professionalism. I experienced major water damage to my kitchen and basement from a leaky refrigerator line which caused over $10,000 in repairs. USAA recommended Top Gun and I'm glad they did! Very patient, professional, trustworthy, and thorough from start to finish. This was the 1st time I used Top Gun and the service was exceptional from start to finish. A lot of check and balances meaning there is always someone who stays in contact with you during the process of the job. You don't have to hunt them down like I had to do with other companies. When the job was completed it looked like the damage never happened. Which was exactly what I wanted.!!! Also the owner contacted us personally to ensure the work was done to our satisfaction. From their very first visit I got the sense of a genuine concern about our situation, our household belongings, and the disruption. Shortly after a walkthrough and an explanation of how things would proceed, I received several schedule options from which to choose, and the project manager worked around every challenge I threw at him, including my travel for work and time off out of town.This repair included drywall removal and replacement on 3 floors and hardwood flooring removal and replacement in my kitchen, living room, family room, office and master bedroom. The team wrapped up nearly every piece of furniture I own in both moving blankets and plastic wrap, and even accommodated my request to find a way to store it all somewhere in the house.The drywall repair and paint match job in all locations was better than any I've ever had done, and I've had quite a bit done over the years. I then had high expectations for the hardwood repair, and those expectations were exceeded. I asked for two additional, personal-cost hardwood repair jobs, and they not only gave me a very reasonable price, but they fit the extra work into the original schedule.In all of my contacts with Top Gun throughout the process, I've been given all the time I wanted to ask questions and discuss the job and how it was progressing. At no time did I ever feel like I was getting in the way of another job, slowing down the work or being an inconvenience. I'm sure many folks have felt that way with a contractor from time to time. Not so with these guys.While maybe not the most difficult restoration job they've encountered, mine went like clockwork with no surprises other than the exceptionally high quality of workmanship far exceeding my expectations.

My dealings with Top Gun have been exclusively with Robert Chafin Hale, the owner. I have gotten to know Robert very closely during the last nine months and consider him to be an honest and direct person. Without going into detail, I had a contract with Robert, and at the end of our professional relationship, things didn't go exactly as good for him as he had hoped. Nevertheless, he kept up with his side of the deal and I strongly feel that he is a real honorable and stand-up person. In terms of Top Gun Restoration, I could not of served that company in the capacity that I did unless the company were top-notch and exceeded peoples, expectations. I would strongly recommend Robert Hale and Top Gun restoration to anybody who is interested in their services or working with Robert.

Great company that puts a serious focus on customer service from start to finish. They understand how important your home is and what it means to you. Their priority on communication is evident and they have a genuine concern for their customers. Rod makes sure that he is available to you at every step of the process to address any questions or concerns you might have, not a lot of business owners are that involved in direct customer service! These guys are true professionals and their team is amazing to work with. A plus, this is a veteran owned business! I see some poor reviews from over a year ago, and I would just throw out there that this is a new owner and they have really turned this business around! I would definitely recommend this business and trust them with my home, especially for water damage mitigation!

Reviews are meant to inform prospective customers. "The customer is always right", although taken with a measure of restraint, is unfortunately lost in today's market. I spent time reviewing this company's responses to prior complaints, and I am not surprised by the response I received here. The argument that roofs do not just abruptly stop performing as expected is disingenuous. This issue did not abruptly start occurring, as I described the signs suggesting a slow penetration developed. I've done roofing in the past, and have lived in a region with much stronger, more consistent high winds than I've experienced so far here. I can say that strong winds would sooner damage shingles than pull nails out of wood (if the nails were properly installed in the first place). As far as the grade of the roof, it passed inspection prior to any roofing ever being installed, which inherently requires enough grade for water to run off. The "pooling" is not happening on the roof, it's happening on the flashing. This is from the malleable flashing being installed almost flat instead of being formed to the grade of the roof (imagine it being like a spring board, bouncing the nail up and down as someone tries to hammer it to a surface it hasn't been bent along...another reason the nails would not have been installed correctly, and hence easily removed with the slightest of storms).Bought a house 11 months ago that had its roof replaced as a condition of our purchase contract with the sellers. Top Gun was the contractor the sellers used, and now, not even a full year later, we're having water leaking into the house. The problem is where our deck's roof marries up with the side of the house - due to poor or inadequate work, rain water has found a way into a seam and down the inside of our exterior wall. What we have is water dripping from the inside, top part of a window sill just underneath the deck roofing. The caulking along the inside top of the window sill is all cracked, and thus water has been getting there for some time before starting to leak thru recently (but not longer than we've lived here, as there is no evidence of water damage in the paint or drywall yet). Top Gun is refusing to honor any warranty on their work, both because we were not the names on the contract at the time of the roof install, and because, and I quote, "it's basically been a year" and there have been some storms along the way. The roof was only done because we required it in our purchase, and thus the sellers and Top Gun were merely acting on our behalf. Imagine the reputation a company can earn taking the attitude that any work on a home sale can be rushed, just passing minimal inspection requirements, because the contractor and seller are not liable after the home sells - moving on to the next paying job. As far as the weather, no loose or damaged shingles, or dislodged flashing exists. Instead, this is a sign of an ongoing issue, with the roof seam where the deck roof meets the exterior house wall not being properly protected from the rain, a job roofing is designed to cover and seal. This repair should have only taken maybe 2 workers and a half hour installing new, properly sealed flashing along the deck roof...but apparently not worth avoiding this review.

I don't review many companies but I have no problems reviewing great work and better service. Give them a try, you won't regret it!
