Edwin and the Wood Designs team came to my place outside Cortez to install a lovely xeric landscape around my house. They were communicative, professional, fairly priced, and efficient. I can't say enough about Wood Designs. They came out as we had an emergency with broken well pipes and they were right on it and had dug up the well and fixed the pipes. Our neighbors also used them for landscaping and they did a fantastic job. They are hard workers and have been in business for 25 years and know there stuff. I highly recommend them and can't thank them enough for their help in McElmo Canyon.

Wood Designs took the time to consider my lifestyle (I’m not a gardener), my house’s aesthetics, and my concern for water conservation to create a simple and welcoming front and back yard landscape design. I had only the vaguest idea at the start, so I encouraged the design team to use its creativity. Glad I did. BEST YET, when the back fence the company installed started to fail from a heavier-than-average winter, the team rebuilt the fence at no charge! Great experience! We would like to give a shout out to Woods Landscaping. They do a great job of maintaining my elderly mother’s yard. Not only did they help her design and then completed her rock landscaping, but then helped her choose shrubs and trees to complete an attractive design. At least twice a year they come by to turn the water onto the shrubs and then off in the fall. We needed a sprinkler system installed in our yard and were not in a hurry to get it done. I contacted several places to get a quote. One company gave us an outrageous quote, then we never heard back from anyone else other than Wood Designs Landscaping. Edwin and crew were very busy, but squeezed our small project in between other large projects they were working on. They worked very hard, and got our project done quickly despite the weather and another setback that wasn't their fault. Very pleased at the quality of work. Had a couple of very minor adjustments after install, but Edwin came over the same day I called and fixed those.Service: Landscape installations

I tried using this business to get my driveway cleaned and Edwin laughed at me when I asked him for prices to get me out of my driveway, don’t use this place what a disgrace people can’t even help people anymore. Way uncalled for! Grow up! I also got hung up on by Edwin wood. Not only did he hang up on me he proceeded to text me later by saying “leaving a review about me laughing so sensitive…..” so unprofessional and trying to make me look like I’m in the wrong, when all I did was call and ask for pricing on snow removal, yes that is true they did give me another contractors number, laughing is the issue I have and saying he couldn’t believe people are asking for pricing there’s so much snow, I realize that part and being busy, but the disrespect is what im concerned with don’t use this company ever! It is Mother Nature how do we possibly get prepared for what she has in store for us?! I’m just a guy trying to survive and raise my family.horrible horrible attitude and customer service will get you no where. Don’t blame other people for your wrong doing. It wasn’t the service you provided it was the lack of respect you have for other people, that’s my whole point in this, you made it personal by disrespecting me.

Sadly I have written this review twice and it accidentally deleted both times. I don't have the energy to redraft a third time with regard to the specificity of my dissatisfaction. I gave this company a two instead of a one because the final work that actually does get completed is acceptable. I would greatly advise you to choose another company to avoid frustration. Their communication is horrible, their customer service is horrible, and communication between husband and wife, which is important because she bids and he does the work, is horrible. Getting a call or a text back is truly an act of God with them. (Although her communication skills picked up when it's time to collect on the bill. Amazing how that works, isn't it?) If you read Jennifer's responses to her dissatisfied clients, you won't see apologies, you will see denials as well as accusing the client of being in the wrong. I tell you this because my husband and I are patient, calm, generous, well educated and reasonable people. We work with dozens of contractors every year, so we honestly do know what we are doing. I have given good reviews to all of them, even when things go wrong because I realize that happens in life. As long as they make it right, I'm okay with it. And of course they are always apologetic. So my point is, I do not say this lightly when I advise you to use someone else. If you must use them, pay close attention to her notes when she is writing up your bid, and be very attentive to the bid and contract once you receive them and before any work gets done or money is paid. But if you want to save yourself frustration, please keep looking. They are not a company that I would recommend.

Your awesome crew came to our house today and spent like five hours! They trimmed, and mowed, and pruned, and then raked and swept up every leaf and branch. I was really impressed! As a contractor myself, I understand how tough it can be to keep scheduling. Not only did Woods finish our sprinkler system in a reasonable amount of time, adjust and fine tune the settings, but they brought the project in under budget. Incredible folks.They have been maintaining the yard, and have been totally trustworthy.

I completely agree with Christine Eul in another review on this business. I did end up giving a 2 star because the final work that was done was ok. The actual work done was by the husband and some other workers who worked hard and did a good job. The wife (Jennifer) does the bids and deals with communication which she should not because she is horrible. Her communication is limited if not abusive. It took the company 18 months to finish a gate and this was partially due to COVID but mostly due to poor communication and timing. Jennifer would never return my calls but would expect me to answer immediately when she was knocking on the door because she would show up without notice and we were not home. The only reason we used the company is because we moved into a gated community that the company does work for and they did the original landscape on the house (which was not done well). Ultimately, this company has been around so long because there are not really any other companies in town. And as Christine Eul in the other review pointed out Jennifer will only deny and not take any accountability. All we wanted was the work done and to be treated with professionalism. People make mistakes all the time and with all the supply issues and COVID things have been difficult. A simple, "I am sorry" is all we wanted but that never came. The community where we live would like to work with someone else but we don't have any options. Everyone we have talked with has said the same thing..Jennifer is horrible at communication! She even threatened us at one point when we questioned some odd things on the final invoice (she billed for things we didn't receive). I don't usually do this but I feel obligated to let people know how absolutely horrible this woman is. I am saying "her" because the staff and husband seemed to do well and were very professional, besides coming to our house with COVID but at least they didn't come in.

The project may have taken longer than we anticipated, but we were extremely satisfied with the end design. There were little things that had to be addressed, but they were more than willing to satisfy our needs. They took Mike's design and encorporated it into their overall landscape. We would recommend them to other customers their quality performance and their willingness to work with you.

Our home looks the best it ever has ! We used Woods Designs for our curbing around our house and driveway. The curb appeal it brought to our house is over the top! I really had no clue what I wanted and Edwin had great ideas when he got here! I called Jennifer and they came out quick, the actual curbing was done in hours and looked so good. Thank you Woods Deign and I would Definetly recommend them!

The worst mistake we made was having them do our sprinklers. They quit working 2 weeks after and they placed too close to our house where they are grinding the stucco. I asked multiple times for them to come help and that I would pay and he would not return my phone calls. I HIGHLY recommend Sprinkler Pros. They came the same day and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. Beware!

Woods Landscaping and Design reached an agreement between the two parties, after receiving a $1,500.00 on September 2, 2015 no work was ever completed. We entered mediation on March 11, 2016. It was eventually agreed upon that we would receive a 60% refund of our deposit, or $855.00.*We agreed to edit our review at their lawyers request.
