Ken is amazing, after the hailstorm in 2017, the insurance company was not going to pay for all the damages, and we were left with a damaged roof and windows. Ken was very knowledgeable recommending us experts and being very persistent to help us through various inspections processes. After 3 year the insurance company finally committed to pay the damages. Ken had the roof replaced with 3 weeks and his people were hard working and very nice! The new windows will be installed next month and we can’t wait to live in a nice house again. The Roof Dr. is a very capable and responsive company to the needs of their customers. The owner and his sons are efficient, knowledgeable, and expeditious in resolving roof issues and standing by their work. I am in the process of selling my sister's house after she passed away. (The house had been my mother's home before my sister became the owner, and The Roof Dr. repaired and re-shingled the home's entire roof for my mom after major hail damage 3 yrs ago.) I needed to quickly have the roof of the house inspected and repaired to satisfy the new buyers of the house. I called Ken, the owner of the Roof Dr., to inquire if there was a transferable warranty on the roof work he did for my mom. Although the original warranty was not transferable to the prospective buyers, Ken offered to go out to the house the very next day for a free inspection, then in under a week his company fixed all the hail damage and certified the roof for 3 years for the new buyers. Updated review: The day after my previous review was posted, the owner, Ken, contacted us himself and sent out a crew to start working on our roof. He apologized for the misleading timeline repeatedly given by his son, Cody, and asked me to remove or update my review of the company. So this is my update so far: the crew worked all day today and will be back tomorrow (even though this morning Ken said it would be a one-day job, we suspected it would take two days since our roof is quite large). We were also told that Cody was wrong about the temperatures having to be over 55 degrees and we were promised by the owner, Ken, that he would have a talk with his son, Cody, about how long this process takes and to make sure that he under-promises and over-delivers and not the other way around. I will further update my review after the work is completed.Note: I will update this review once the roof is actually finished.We chose The Roof Dr. to do our roof based on reviews and so far we have regretted making this choice. We want to warn other potential clients about what working with this company is like.We signed a contract on July 27 after our insurance company approved our new roof. The contract said that the roof would be started around Aug 30 and finished around Sep 15. Now we’re at the very end of October and we still don’t have a new roof. The most frustrating aspect of this process has been the utter lack of communication from the company. When their estimated deadline passed, we did not hear from them. After repeated calls from us, they provided a variety of excuses. We were told that their suppliers had been delayed by Hurricane Harvey and had run out of supplies. Then we were told that if we wanted to expedite the process of getting our roof, we could choose to pay for the materials ourselves and then they would come out and do the labor. When we asked how purchasing the supplies ourselves would help when their suppliers had run out due to Hurricane Harvey, The Roof Dr. told us that actually they themselves had to wait for money to come in from previous customers before they could order the supplies (even though one of their big selling points was that they don’t take any money up front from their customers). On another occasion, we were told that our roof was being delayed by the Colorado weather, but it is baffling to us that a company that has been operating for decades in Colorado would not take the weather into account when writing up their contracts. Last time we talked to Cody (the owner’s son) 4 weeks ago, he told us that we would get our roof in 1-2 weeks. When we asked “so will we have our roof two weeks from now?” he changed his answer to 3-4 weeks “just to be sure” that we would definitely have it by then. Well, now it’s been 4 weeks and we still don’t have the roof. We have been told repeatedly that we were “next in line” for a roof. Today is the last day of good weather, so we will have to wait quite awhile before the temperature is warm enough to start the work. All the materials were dumped on our roof and in front of our house a week ago (again, with no communication whatsoever from the company), so now we’ve had all this unsightly stuff sitting on our roof and in front of our house and when we repeatedly tried to get a hold of them, we were just told (again) that we’re “next in line” to get our roof done.We did try to go with another company after a month had passed from the original estimated deadline. However, we were told that the contract was still valid and could not be terminated, so we would have to pay 20% if we wanted to go with a different company. Overall, our experience with The Roof Dr. has been horrible and we cannot recommend this company. Again, this review will be updated once they get the work done but so far, their lack of communication and their excuses of why they are close to two months past their own estimated time of completion have left us wishing we had hired a different company.

Very hard to deal with, impossible to get ahold of...work was of low quality. Had a contractor come for another repair, and found that multiple spots where the flashing was put up under the siding had been loosened as needed and not reinstalled. Found two places were there was only one nail in a sixteen foot piece of siding. Had a leak on our skylight in the bathroom after the install. They did come back and reseal the leak but refused to repair the damaged drywall inside the house. Cost me thousand to repair. My house is on there website as a show model of there work. I would think twice before using them if they feel this is there best work. I cannot get there name off of State farm list, which is we're I got there name. My local agent out of Arvada has had them off there recommend list for 5+ years come to find out. So just an FYI for you.

Chris, Your 3 Tab roof was Replaced with a Class 4 IR Impact Resistant Shingle, only 8 steps up from what you had FOR FREE!!! Synthetic Felt FREE!!! Ridge Vent FREE!!! We cant help the Fact that Your Insurance will not respond, will not Help, avoids our calls, rejects 2nd meetings, etc... Even you can not get your Insurance to Move to Help... So we went above and beyond to start the roof work with out the approval of your insurance and you then still hit us here... OK, but for a USED CAR SALES MAN to claim that they have 3, again 3 Flat Tires, we did not remove the roof on the street, we magnet sweep, and cleared your driveway. Also about every home in your neighborhood was replaced... 1. Just wanted to let you know that your claims about a sales person is hear say 2. 3 flat tires Hear Say? 3. How have I heard NOTHING about this until now??? 4. Replace Plywood? when did the hail hit your plywood??? Your insurance would not pay for that either... They don't even want to pay for Code Items... 5. Read your Insurance Scope, it reads, do not start WORK until agreed upon!!! We went way above to help you, and AGAIN FREE UPGRADES!!! 6. Enjoy your discount of up to 30% on those FREE Upgrades we gave you... 7. Final Invoice??? You hired another Company to do the Siding and Gutters, your insurance again needs to FINAL OUT THE ROOF, so that WE CAN GET PAID IN FULLLLLLL, as your Roof has been done for Months, and we are still yet to be paid in full!!!

First they were very interested and the guy wanted to hold me on the phone for a very long time with his "sale pitches" about how they protect me, my house and bla-bla-bla. Then they just abandoned my project without any explanations and would not return calls. May they could not make enough from my insurance. Will never use them again

Your people are the worst. After a hailstorm that hit my car, house trees, I am incredibly stressed. You know what doesn't help? When your terrible, greedy, unprofessional sales reps ring my doorbell TWICE at 7 AM and wake my 2 and 4 year old up. I let everyone in my cul de sac know to never use you and let everyone in my neighborhood online group to not because if that is what you do at the point of sale, what will you do after? Judging from other 1 stars, cant be good.
