I have had the best experience with this company. The owner Doug, his foreman Erin and all of the crew used were informative , knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They work fast and efficiently. Doug answered all my questions about my projects and followed up when I needed more information. I would recommend this company to anyone. We get lots of compliments on our new iron fence and patio.

Colorado Painting & Construction Pros did a great job staining our fence for a reasonable price! The President, Doug Whetsell, was very professional, he made sure measurements were accurate and was very responsive to start and complete the job on time. When he said the job would be completed next week, it was done on Monday. He let us know the lead on the project and they contacted us starting the job and left the extra materials for us afterward. We were very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the employees. We would highly recommend them to other and would be willing to use them again.Services: Wood staining, Exterior painting

He consulted me when there were design options, took time to explain things when I had questions, and was very patient with me. We're seriously happy with our fence. Do not work with this company. Basic summary is that, if they mess something up, they’ll ignore you when you reach out to try and get it fixed. More details below:We had them:-pour a new front porch and walkway (they did this wrong and it has actually led to damage…we will now have to spend a bunch of money to remove and repour it)-pour a back patio (this is already cracking)-install a fence (so far, this seems okay, although they definitely did the door a bit oddly)-paint the house (they accidentally painted our door and haven’t made up for it, even though they promised to)At first, they seemed great. I was very happy during and right after the project.However, one of the main facets of our project was done completely incorrectly and actually led to a massive leak and flood in our basement, which cost us a lot of money.Since then, I’ve tried to get a hold of them to discuss them coming to fix it. Doug has completely ignored me for months now over both email and phone. Aaron originally got back to me and said he would fix it at cost but has now stopped responding now that we can actually start the work. Really really unprofessional and unethical, quite frankly.I’m really disappointed by this, as I felt they were great when I first hired them. Just be weary. I’m sure they can do good work, but, if they don’t, they won’t work with you to fix your issues.

We hired Colorado Painting & Construction Pros for a concrete project. Half of our driveway, front walk, and landing had drastically sunk over the years. Doug's crew demoed and removed the old concrete, prepped and then poured the new concrete in just 2 days. They added road base and rebar throughout and dowels to reinforce the driveway with the garage slab. The customer service, overall, was great. Doug was very responsive and accommodating throughout the estimate, quote and scheduling process. The crew was friendly and efficient. We did have one issue with the edging on the new walkway, but the crew leader, Aaron, was excellent to work with to fix the issue. The day after the pour, he revisited our project to discuss what happened and options for fixing the issue. Then, later that night he personally returned to cut and re-finish the walkway edge. Very professional and great to work with!

We needed our fence repaired and after contacting multiple different contractors and other businesses we knew which one we wanted. They were one of the best prices that we found, were very responsive to questions and very timely. We couldn’t be happier with the final product they built us. I had a cedar fence enclosed to add privacy and keep my new dog contained. Eddie put the fence up by himself asking me how i would like different sections. Because of that it turned out way better than I imagined. The touch to detail really helped a lot! He also gave me ideas for lighting and landscaping around the new area.

In my opinion I would use caution when proceeding with Doug @ Colorado Painting and Contracting "PROS".For clarity I will say that I had to deal with neighbors on both sides while trying to get this fence replaced. Doug/CP&C did provide a quote in a timely fashion.There are several items that I will admit I own in this process, but the quality of the fence is not one of them.Work did not take the 2-3 days he stated. This was in part to the fact his crew removed the old fence posts, when I gave him the option to leave them and adjust accordingly as they were in deep. The crew did not show up on the day planned. I only found out that his crew was still tied up on another project after I called/text and they showed up a day later. Work did begin and they progressed. Work proceeded over 5 days and came back to finish in the next week.Now for the quality. It is a fence. Nothing great about it in any fashion. In fact the quality of the lumber is so poor that we are experiencing cracking and splitting and the project is less than a month old mistakes were made and covered up. Damage to a sprinkler line, delays in getting the stain/paint applied. I will say that I left a portion unpainted that I will paint due to the fact we did not discuss removing chain link to apply paint. What I will say is that he asked if he could apply the paint through the chain link.I told him no, and to apply it to the neighbors fence and I will do my side as I admit we did not discuss that part.His crew did return to discuss some of my complaints and I was promised after we discussed the issues the crew would make corrections. My neighbors and I cannot tell that they returned or made any corrections.My one big complaint is that they cut my live tree to install the front fence. They could have lowered the fence so that when the tree sways it would not damage the tree.I do know that in my attempts to have Doug come and walk his job with me have failed. He was either at golf league or out of town or ignored my emails and the photos I sent asking for resolution. He never once reached out to ask how things were going or to reschedule any of the job walks I asked for.I am in the contracting business as well (electrician) and know the current difficulties all contractors are experiencing. Communication should not be one of them.

Doug sent a great team over to remove and replace wire fencing on my split rail (post and dowel) fence. Did a great job and would not think of leaving until we walked the job and everything was to my complete satisfaction, which it was. Very polite, respectful and hard working team. Very reasonably priced project. Would use them again and recommend others use them, as well.

I contracted with Doug to build 200 feet of fencing around my property. The HOA has specific requirements and he and his crew were able to accommodate. The job took about 3 days. The crew left the job site clean and orderly at the end of each day. They completed the job on time and on budget. I would highly recommend CP&CP.

Doug is a pleasant person and the work his company completed for us was nicely done. Unfortunately the projects were not all done in a timely manner. One person was assigned to install flooring, build a fence and do interior and exterior painting on multiple structures. Communication with Doug was difficult. It was usually days before calls/texts were returned and often not returned at all. Needed repairs were not done in a timely manner when problem areas in new floor began to rise. To date the repair has not been addressed. Doug has not scheduled a time when the repair can be made. I get excuses for why it’s not done. I would not recommend this company! Another month gone by and no response from Doug or his installer Donald. Several issues with the floor installation has arisen. He is not a member of BBB as he claimed. BBB did however try to get a response from him but was not successful. I consulted another floor installer and was told Doug had put this floor in all wrong which is why I am having issues. 7,000. Proved not a good investment with this company. Once Doug had all his money he was long gone and unwilling to back up the workmanship

The team at Colorado Painting and Construction painted the interior of our home and did lots of door hanging and painting baseboard, stair rails etc. They were professional, thorough and good value. We are painting the exterior of our house later this year and will be using this team again.

Doug is a very nice guy and does do a good job on the front end, but promises what he can not deliver. He was supposed to do our drywall and painting. He got about 1/3 of the drywall job done but then our job got delayed by 3-4 days (not Doug's fault) which threw him off his schedule. But then when we got back on track, he said he would have worker X on the job at 8:00 am Thursday. X did not show and Doug said X would be there the next day. X did not show again so Doug said he was going to fire X. Okay, but he did not have other reliable people to take care of the drywall so I found some one else to do the drywall which would take another week. So I told Doug we would be ready to paint 9 days later. He said he would handle it. I requested that he give me specifics on who would show and when. About 3 days ahead of start date he said that X would be there to start painting. Ergo, he did not fire X as he said he was going to. Having already been burned by his X promise twice, I decided to fire Doug. He misled me one more time after that confirming that I had made the right choice to move on.

We contracted with Doug to perform exterior siding repairs at my 95 YO MIL's house. Our fault for giving him 1/2 down. It has been a year and despite promises by Doug saying he would refund the money, he has been unresponsive and in our opinion decided to steal the money. Steer clear from Doug and Colorado Painting Pros.
