Drennen came out to check on a radon system that had been installed 20+ years ago. They found the fan had died. They replaced the fan and bore a new hole in the basement to increase the efficiency of the system, all in about 2 hours! I was really impressed with their knowledge and skill. Highly recommend!

We used Drennen to install a radon system in our basement. They worked quickly, got it done in a few hours, and testing showed our radon levels dropped to practically nothing after.Then, when the old sump pump we had previously started to fail, they came out right away and fixed it. Roofing Review: The Drennen crew showed up at the exact time promised on the day promised and finished exactly when they estimated they would. Keys to success were three: (1.) They install only the best Cat 4 shingles. Do yourself a favor and ask for Owens Corning Tru Def SBS Flex. They also used superior synthetic underlayment and take particular care to ensure proper roof ventilation. (2.) Their supervisor stayed with the crew, working alongside them all the way. This ensures the right materials were installed the right way. (3.) All Drennen people from Caitlin in the office to Scott and Rafe in the field, communicate at all phases. If you only want to know that it’s done—you’re more than OK. But if you are like me and want to know all the details all the time, well, I can’t imagine a better level of customer communications. My highest recommendation. Oh, and by the way, they tarp everything below and do a thorough clean-up, even “sweeping” the area with a big magnet to pick up any stray nails.Radon: Our radon mitigation by Drennen was accomplished in a timely and super professional manner. They were quick to keep me informed and despite a few unexpected challenges, they rose to the occasion and completed the work in 6.5 hours from arrival to departure. From the office admin to the on-site estimator and installers, Drennen got it done right.

They installed our radon system 12 years ago. We were very pleased with the installation back then and with the performance of the system since then. Vacuum dropped to zero recently and they came out to replace the fan. Again, very impressed with their honesty, professionalism, quality of work, and reasonable pricing. Highly recommended.

We hired Drennen to do our radon mitigation and we couldn't be happier! They brought us down from a 15-19 to a 1.7. Our friend who has construction experience was helping me with an issue in the basement and commented that whoever had done our radon install was basically bespoke since the pipe fitting, caulking and finishing was as close to perfect as humanly possible. Drennan Custom Contracting was the only one of 5 radon mitigation companies that provided me with an estimate. We agreed on a date and time for the work in my crawl space; they were prompt; professional; friendly; took some unusual circumstances right in stride; completed the work on time; everything in the system is in compliance with State and Federal regulations and recommendations; my radon levels went down to the safe level they predicted; and their price is at market-price level. ALL of that is pretty unusual in contractors these days. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for ANY work Drennen does, not just the radon mitigation. They are awesome!!

I highly recommend Drennen. I was charged a fair price and the two guys who did the work were incredibly professional, communicated well, and did a fantastic job. I hired Drennen to fix parts of my radon system that were installed poorly (or not at all) by the previous owner. Specifically, they installed a fire collar on the PVC pipe penetration between the garage to the crawl space, corrected the slope on the PVC pipe for condensation drainage, rewired the connection to the motor, replaced the pipe going to the roof with the proper size, replaced the outlet pipe on the roof with one that was within code and has wire mesh to prevent entry by critters, replaced the cover over the sump pump (wood to plastic), installed a suction point in the crawl space, properly sealed the vapor barrier in the crawl space to the foundation, and they sealed expansion joints in the basement floor. I was also happy that they did a test to ensure my home was within safe radon levels. They have a back log of a few weeks, but it was worth the wait. I got three other estimates, and I learned that radon companies differ tremendously. I would definitely go with Drennen again.

Their crew showed up on time, and were friendly, professional, and great at explaining what they were doing.My radon test came back excellent after the installation, but I found the fan to be too loud. They came back and installed a smaller, quieter fan. I got the test results back today, and they were excellent even with the smaller fan.I could not be happier with the work that was done on my home.
