We had a wonderful experience working with Steve. He came to our home and walked us through choosing the correct awning for our space. He was very patient when it came time to pick the color of the fabric and I was having a hard time coming to a final decision. The price he quoted was fair and there were no hidden costs. Installation also went smoothly with great communication from Steve. Everything was finished within a day and we are already loving our new awning and can’t wait to get even more use out of it when summer hits!

Steve and his team came out to service the sun setter that he installed about five years ago. The communication on what was going on and how to fix it was excellent and provided excellent service to fix the problem. Steve Linfield is the SunSetter Authorized dealer for Northern Colorado. He came to our home and showed us samples of colors and styles, then explained in detail how the SunSetter system worked. He was never pushy and answered all our questions.We made our decision and bought the largest awning SunSetter makes, 20 ft. long with a 13 ft extension. When our awning arrived, Steve was here the next work day and he and his assistant installed the brackets. The following day, Steve and five additional team members did the actual installation of the awning. The actual install took less than two hours. Then Steve and his assistant spent a few more hours doing the fine tuning and adjustments. He then explained in detail how to operate and take care of the awning.As a retired home builder, I’ve worked with dozens of contractors through the years and a contractor as reliable, knowledgeable, professional, and skilled as Steve is hard to come by.If you are thinking about buying an awning for your home, you’ll find nobody better than Steve Linfield, Lindfield Construction.

Steve installed our Sunsetter awning in the Fall on 2022 perfectly and in the time frame he described. He patiently walked us through the operation of the automatic awning and wind sensor and this Spring after changing the batteries patiently walked us through reprogramming it. We bought a 20 ft awning in 2014 and it’s running as good today as it did in 2014. In fact, we had Steve Linfield install a second 20 footer in 2016. Now we have complete coverage on our south facing deck. Very good investment on the house and great service from Steve.Update 2024. We had a sudden gust a wind come up and one of the two awnings was damaged. We called Steve Linfield right away and he got the replacement parts on the way. The parts were the new version and were reasonably priced. Steve and Rick came out and installed the parts and reset the awnings. Great service again.

Two years ago Steve replaced a Sun Setter awning. The price was competitive with Costco and the work was done in a timely fashion considering the Covid influenced supply line issues. This year, an endcap fell off and when I called, Steve responded positively - ordered a replacement and fixed it. The awning works perfectly and I have had no problems with it. I recently ordered an 18' Sunsetter awning through Steve and had him install it on my roof over my back porch. Steve was trustworthy and responsive in a time when I often deal with contractors that won't return calls or give transparent pricing. Steve was honest, fair and a good communicator. Working with Steve Linfield of Linfield Construction to purchase and install a SunSetter awning has been, and continues to be, a truly pleasant experience. Within a day of contacting Steve, he was at my house thoroughly answering every question I had about the SunSetter awnings that I was unfamiliar with at the time. He was very forthcoming with all pertinent information and there was never anything remotely resembling a surprise from initial bid to the present time. You can tell he takes pride in making sure his service is free of surprises. He listens to what you want and uses his expertise to show you all the possibilities relevant to your situation. We were surprisingly able to make an informed decision quickly since he was so good at relaying all the info. Once it was time for install, Steve and his workers got the SunSetter installed in less than a day. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Everything works perfectly and looks amazing as well. The only surprise of the whole experience was how much it exceeded our already lofty expectations. We expected to be impressed, but we're blown away. The SunSetter Steve installed for us gives our little 900 square foot home an extra 230 square feet of living space and makes our patio and backyard look so much nicer and more inviting. He's still happily answering questions I have and has gone out of his way to make sure we really understand everything. Had an issue with our awning from being unplugged with extended, then high winds ensued and caused fabric to displace enough so that it wound up improperly. Got the fabric back in proper location but then controls went wacky and awning fabric went backwards when extended. Could not get it to work properly so contacted Linfield on Thursday and Friday he came and reprogrammed it properly with no charge for labor and/or travel. Highly recommended and skillful.
