I had an amazing experience with Thompson Brothers construction. I live all the way in Maryland and recently bought 10 acres in Costilla County. I was really worried about trying to find a contractor while I was all the way in Maryland to do the work in Colorado. I decided to go with Thompson Brothers construction and I do not regret it at all they were and are still amazing. Mr Thompson communicated with me every step of the way via text pictures and phone calls. They even took care of the permits. So far they have cleared the land fenced in 3 acres installed the septic tank and created a 250 ft driveway with gravel. My project isn't finished yet and I can't wait to continue working with this company.

Paid the Thompson brothers $21,299.96 to clear my land, put up a fence and install a septic and all they did since October 2020 was steal my money. I won my lawsuit against them in civil court and are withholding my money and dodging payments. I'd give them a negative rating but it doesn't give that option.

I hired this company for a simple job of clearing vacant land for a campsite. One driveway in, one driveway out, with a clearing for RV's. They said the job would be done in a week. Three months later the lot was still not finished.When pressed to complete the job, they actually responded that they took on too many other jobs and could not finish what they were contracted to do. That's right, without telling me or refunding any monies I paid in advance, they ABANDONED my contract and left it un-finished ! And actually had the gall to send me another invoice ! I refused to pay any further monies, but they made no offer to refund any of my pre-payment. They did not deliver all the gravel I paid for. They left piles and piles of debris consisting of bushes and roots dug up when the driveway and camp area was cleared. They did not clear the dirt and rocks from the driveway entrances to create smooth wide corners to turn in and depart with huge RV rigs, as I had specified. I finally bought my own sub-compact tractor and finished the job myself. Now that my wife and I are talking about building a permanent custom home on that property, you can bet Thompson Brothers will not get a shot at that contract !Service: General construction

Got 5 amounts in three weeks for the very same job and each time the amount went WAY up. Starting at 6000 for septic install went to 8000, 10000,12000 and 18000 each time coming up with excuses that there where " unforeseen issue" they over looked...? Really? Anyway these guys are not worth the time and effort you will put into trying to get them to work for you. Go with someone that has the wear with all to get the job done start to finish on time and for a good price
