"I'd like to start by saying that I am a huge advocate of buying local but in mid-January when we had a pipe feeding our hose bib burst and flood a bedroom and closet in our basement, we were very happy to find Rocky Mountain Restoration and Nick, he seemed very responsive and eager to help us navigate the situation. I should have had some concerns following the second night of the remediation when I had to turn on all of the fans following his visit, and one day 3 when the bucket he had not informed me needed to be emptied overflowed and migrated the water across the room to previously unaffected areas. However, the more concerning facts came after our settlement with insurance when we asked that they bid the remainder of the work; we were informed that unless we signed a rather prohibitive contract with Rocky Mountain Restoration prior to any further work that they would not supply any cost estimates for the balance of the work, this seemed odd to me as I work in the construction industry and am regularly part of the competitive bid process. When questioned, I was told by Nick at Rocky Mountain restoration that this was his standard practice, "that he'd worked too hard in the past to secure clients' fair settlements only to have them turn around and buy a new truck." My wife and I felt this called our character into question and did not appreciate his inference. Additionally, this seems like a way for him to unnecessarily mark up any additional services that may be required such as carpet, drywall, and paint. In the end the restoration of 1 room, fans and a dehumidifier for 5 days, costs over $5k, the cost for the rebuild is less than $4k. In the long run I could have bought the same fans, duhumidifier, and moisture sensors and completed the work on my own for the cost of their invoice. I will not be using Rocky Mountain Restoration in the future and suggest that anyone wanting to avoid a headache do so as well."

Rocky Mountain Restoration's number should be on everyone's contact list for that unexpected emergency!We experienced vandalism that resulted in water damage migrating from the upstairs laundry along the floor resulting in water coming through the ceiling into the living room! What a mess!! We called Nick - and he immediately answered our cry for help!After everything was dried out properly, the ceiling repair happened over two days - you cannot tell where the damage was.Can't say enough about Nick's professionalism in carrying out the repairs or how easy he made it to deal with our insurance company!Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair

We encountered a septic backup in the middle of February during a very cold period in Gunnison. Nick at Rocky Mountain Restoration was the only vendor that was willing to come on site and resolve the problem. Lucky for us, Nick's company primarily focuses on restorative work post damage, and I signed a contract with him for the rebuild immediately. With Nick's knowledge of the insurance game, he fought our insurance company for everything needed on the rebuild, and they did great work on everything. I would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Restoration for any job. A++++ rating in my book!

Nick and Zen are good people, personally and professionally. Shortly after completing a full renovation of my home, the unexpected happened and a water leak took out the main level. Working with the insurance company was difficult from the start. RMRS made it much easier to navigate the insurance side and helped me avoid some pitfalls within the insurance world. I had serious damage to my floors and ceilings due to a broken hot water pipe. Rocky Mountain Restoration responded promptly and mitigated the damage. They also took care of repairing ceilings, replacing the flooring and other related issues. I would highly recommend this company if you have repair or construction needs. Nick and his workers are personable and friendly. They do great work and have an excellent work ethic.

My Dad and I needed help when the family vacation home suffered water damage.We don't live there full time, so finding somebody we could trust to be honest and dependable was crucial. When my husband and I, thru a friend, found out we had a flooded cellar in our second home in Crested Butte, we were at the time in Denver. A friend recommended we contact Rky Mtn Restoration. Nick from RMR immediately came to rescue. Before we could get up to CB, Nick was already on the job removing water. He was very professional and service was impeccable. He even went so far as to help us remove stored items from cellar. Every time he said he would be here he was on the job. In closing, out of bad things comes good. We bought our home and found that instead of broom clean, the basement was full of the prior owners leftover junk and years of dirt, and coal dust. Upon closing of the home, the sellers were asked to remove all their junk from the basement. Rocky Mountain Restoration was helpful and wonderful in a number of ways. First, they had experience and came to access and look at the job to make a bid and estimate. Their professional knowledge helped me to be able to make informed decisions on the work that needed to be done to this area. They are a company that continues to stay informed and up to date in all the varied areas in the field of restoration. Secondly, they physically worked to remove the many large junk piles left in the area before the whole room was Hepa Vacced and the walls and floor were scrubbed clean. Rocky Mountain reviewed their own work and made sure we were happy with the outcome. After their work, there was a clean working area for our electricians to come to update the home. We now are able to use this room on a daily basis. I was about to put my fifteen year old house on the market when black mold was discovered in our crawlspace under the furnace/laundry room on the first floor.  I was shocked.  The house inspector recommended Rocky Mountain Restoration.  I called Rocky Mountain Restoration and they came right over and assessed the problem and discussed the solution.  They were so personable and professional and they helped calm my anxiety over the mold.   The house went under contract quickly but the buyers were concerned about having the mold remediated completely as the wife was extremely allergic to any type of mold.  The closing of the sale depended on Rocky Mountain Restoration doing a great job. After I moved out, Rocky Mountain Restoration came in and checked for any other mold the could have spread into walls and floors.  They prepared the house so the mold would not spread in the air to any other area of the house as they removed it.  Luckily the mold was contained to one small area and they removed the mold and redid the in-floor heat floors affected above the mold.  Rocky Mountain Restoration even went through the trouble to find floor tiles nearly identical to the ones we had on the first floor.  There were several post remediation tests for mold in the air or anywhere else.  The house was free of black mold and the house closed soon afterwards.  In addition, the office manager of Rocky Mountain Restoration helped me greatly as well and is wonderful to work with.  These are highly professional and wonderful locals to work with and I recommend Rocky Mountain Restoration to everyone needing restoration and/or construction.  And I recommend Rocky Mountain Restoration as people you would like to get to know on a personal level as well.  This is an extraordinary business! Bravo!!

We had a really bad hot water leak in the crawlspace of our house that was going for awhile before we noticed it. Mold was everywhere. Nick at Rocky Mountain Restoration worked with us and our insurance company diligently to the mold cleaned up and prevention measures of future mold in place, and get as much of it covered by insurance as possible. In the end, we only had to pay our deductible. Nick and his crew worked quickly and diligently, respected our home and belongings, are were super kind!! I HIGHLY recommend Rocky Mountain Restoration!
