We paid Neil's Excavation $6500 for replace our sewerline in the summer of 2020. This summer, the summer of2023, we started experiencing sewer backups and otherissues. After having the sewer scoped and evaluated bymultiple different plumbing companies, they have found thatthe work completed by Neil's is not up to standards, andneeds to be redone. There are multiple low spots andbreaks in the sewer line as well as joints that have slippeddue to sloppy work performed by Neil's. I brought this to theattention of the owner, Bruce Neil in August 2023, he saidhe would look into in, and never got back to me. InDecember of 2023 we started the process of listing ourhouse for sale and the sewer line issue again becameapparent so I reached out to Bruce Neil again. He hascontinually dodged taking any responsibility, and doesn'treturn my messages. He has not done anything to try andremedy this issue, he just says that his work has a one yearwarranty. I looked through my invoices and can find nothingthat indicates we agreed to a one year warranty. I haveasked Bruce to provide me with documentation that I signedagreeing a one year warranty and he has not done that.Through my research, it seems most companies thatcomplete this type of work offer a 15 year warranty. We got over 60 years out of the original orangeberg sewer pipe that was used when our house was built, but couldn't even get 3 years out of the shoddy work performed by Neil's Excavation. We are now faced with writing a check for $12,000 to the buyers ofour home at closing so that they can pay to have this workre-done.Neil's is an unprofessional business, with terrible communication and even worse accountability. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere should you need this type of work done on your home.

Neil’s Excavation has done work for us twice in the last year including road work, installation of water, and sewer service, culvert, rock wall and steps, etc. We have been very pleased with the quality of their work as well as the professionalism with which they operate. We would highly recommend their services!
