I cannot say enough good things about this place. I had got food poisoning the day before we were to leave and Patti was so wonderful in finding an alternative date for us. Their cabins are furnished with coffee, etc., toilet tissues, bath gel, and shampoo. We ran out of coffee and Patti brought us some more.We extended our stay for another week but she did not have availability and we had to stay elsewhere that didn't offer any amenities.These people are so friendly including the dogs and cat.We loved it there and will go back.

Our stay at Two Fox Cabins in the Bear Den couldn’t have been better! Everything about it was perfect! The Bear Den is a cute cabin decorated with you guessed it, 🐻BEARS! It was a beautiful cabin, comfortable and sparkling clean! The owners Patricia and Doug were so nice and accommodating. We enjoyed sitting by the fire 🔥visiting with them and a few other guests. Perfect night! We also enjoyed their very polite dogs and cute cats that payed a visit. I visit LaVeta once a year and this is where I will be staying from now on. I already want to go back for another visit🙂

Great stay! We had been camping for two weeks and we’re having a hard time finding a camp spot. Was getting late and decided to try out the Two Fox Cabins. Glad we did! The host was super easy to work with, came out and met us even though it was late in the evening. Great stay, simple, clean, great price! Thanks!

Absolutely delightful and beautiful. Gecko Getaway was nice and clean. Truly enjoyed watching the hummingbirds over by the community room, which is absolutely the coolest! Owners are such nice people. Great place ! My only wish was to stay longer! Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay.

If your want a cute mountain stay in Colorado then you have to come see Doug, Pat, and the dogs the cabins are cute affordable and located in a beautiful quiet piece of Colorado.Rooms: Rooms are each themed and have adorable atmosphere.

Spent 4 nights in the Bear's Den and loved it. Very clean and well stocked kitchen with a friendly staff. Free breakfast a plus. Mattress a little hard for our taste, but would definitely stay again. Deer are everywhere!

My husband and I love this place! Patty and her husband were so loving and would do anything for you. I got a bad cut on my foot after visiting the National Park and I didn’t have the appropriate medicine to take care of it and the wound started to get infected, so I limped over to Patty to simply ask for peroxide and a bandaid and her husband walked out and personally doctored me up and cleaned my cut, wrapped it up, and sent me back with some supplies. I can’t speak enough about how accepting and loving they are. They really made it feel like home. When we were leaving to tour the town Patty invited us (and the rest of the renters) to a fun cookout. The cabins were very clean and well kept and we were well rested with our comfortable bed. She also made great breakfast every morning. La Veta was a relaxing get away and everyone in town was so welcoming. Plus, the Great Sand Dunes were breath taking. We will come back again!!

Could not have been more pleased with my stay here. The accommodations were clean, up-to-date, and a much better bargain than traveling 40 or 50 miles to the nearest hotel chain for much more money. Patty was very accommodating, if I needed anything, all I had to do was ask. I grew up in La Veta and wish this would have been around for family and friends years ago.

The cabins were really nice both inside and out. Thebeds were not as comfortable as they could have been. I liked the living room in the larger cabin. The kitchen area wasn't well thought out, with the hot plate which was in the closet and the coffee maker etc. There was no receptacles except one for everything in the kitchen. I really like the decor though. The lady that owns the place was very nice and also helpful. Things were clean for the most part. I would stay again at my next time in La Veta.

Small cabin, we stayed in #6, geko. Clean and comfortable bed. This cabin is not for large individuals. Good coffee and friendly owner.Little but of a hike to take trash out.

The scenery here is beautiful, but the bed was hard as a board, there was no AC, and there were miliipedes and spiders in the kitchen and bathroom. We had reserved 2 nights but due to these things we opted to only stay 1, but were still charged for 2. I would not recommend this place. Other places near by are more $, so I guess you get what you pay for.😏

My favorite place in all the world to stay!! Doug and Patti are delightful, the rooms are clean as a bean :). Over the 4th this year they had a BBQ and it was so great as I was staying alone and really had no festivities to go to. The landscaping is getting prettier and prettier all the time!! Five Stars for everything!

Stayed in Rodeo cabin! Had a great time. Walked to Sids for great bbq andBest green chili. Two fox has an awesome breakfast. Deer everywhere! Beautiful pergola and landscaping. Nicest hostess ever! Made our motorcycle trip peaceful and nice!

Wonderful place to stay. We stay here every time we are in La Veta. Patty and Doug are the nicest people and so accommodating. They have renovated the whole place themselves and it is just gorgeous. You have to check them out.

I just returned home from spending three amazing nights in The Bear Den.The accomodations were outstanding, very clean and comfortable. Easy check-in and check-out. I couldn't have been more pleased. I fell in love with this place and this town. Will be back for sure.

I stayed with them during the memorial weekend. The owners are helpful and nice. The place has all the commodities you would need. Their breakfast is simple but good. I will book with them for our next trip to the Sand Dunes park!

After reading a wonderful article about how amazing this place is to stay, I enthusiastically reserved a cabin for one night through their website. After waiting a few hours for an email confirmation and not receiving anything , I called. The gentleman i spoke with was professional and said to give him a moment and he would confirm the reservation. My phone dropped driving down from Colorado Springs and i had to call back. I spoke with a woman this time. Who informed me she could not rent the cabin basically because they didn't want to clean it before someone else rented it the following day. That was nice. She even scolded me for, "not vacationing here." Meaning my business was not wanted if i didn't stay more than one night. I hungup feeling like all she did was blame ME for her reservation system inadequacies. The next morning i was charged 300 bucks for nothing! I have to call again. This time i cringe when the same woman answers the phone. She was rude, short and definitely not what you would want in the hospitality industry. I was once again blamed for THEIR SYSTEM ERROR. If this experience is any indication of their cabins then they should be out of business. Yuck.

I am amazed this place is still in business. I made a reservation for my family to stay there, online, a few days prior to our Memorial Weekend trip. My credit card was charged and I received an email reservation that my credit card was charged. Thank God I looked back at my confirmation email the day before the trip. I was trying to figure out their check-in policy, when I noticed, in relatively fine print, that our confirmation was not confirmed. So, this made me a little worried. I called them, and they didn't answer. I called them again a couple hours later, no answer. I waited another couple hours, finally got a hold of someone, and was told that even though our reservation was accepted online and my credit card was charged, our reservation was, in fact, nonexistent. Fun times. They were like, "Oh, but you'll get a refund!". Well, I'd BETTER get a refund. That's the least they could do. So, now I'm scrambling to find accommodations on the Friday night of Memorial Weekend for my family's trip.

Cabins are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with cereal, a casserole, waffles, bagels, toast, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. everyday. Patty was very pleasant and helpful. My family will be back.

They charged us because the rooms had to be spotless clean like no dirt inside like what type of hotel do y’all run bad service like seriously bad breakfast they only clean the rooms once a week and that’s if. My company and employees had a horrible stay here! Never plan on coming back and I don’t recommend it
