We used Urban Exteriors to replace our siding, gutters, downspouts, and they added cedar accents (columns and tongue & groove soffit). In our experience, it's been difficult to find a company that does quality work and cares about the end product. The Urban Exterior team is amazing. They are thorough and highly skilled at their craft. They were able to incorporate and remember all the change orders we submitted (and we submitted a lot)! This is the fourth time that Urban Exteriors has done major work on my house. They've done the roof, siding, and interior painting. And now I have a new deck thanks to them! Every time, the work is outstanding, they are a pleasure to deal with, and the price is fair. It's nice to work in a "no-spin" zone.

We hired Urban Exteriors to repair the brick and stucco surrounding our windows that had recently been replaced. We have a home that was built in the 70's and wanted the exterior to be restored back to it's original condition. John and his team did a fantastic job, we are so pleased with the outcome. In addition to doing great work, John was super responsive, and his team showed up everyday and completed the job on time. This type of customer service is hard to find. Urban Exteriors was great to work with on my much needed project. My house had original siding underneath asbestos siding. The catastophic hail storm that year destroyed the house. Despite supply and labor shortages. They completed my project as quickly as they could and did a great job. Communication is key in these types of situations. I felt heard and was informed of all setbacks and statuses. Great, local, family owned company. We reached out to Urban Exteriors after our house was damaged by both hail and wind in the span of a few months. Hail ruined our roof and peppered holes in our siding, then winds tore off siding and blew down our fence. We met with and got estimates from several contractors before we chose Urban Exteriors to replace our roof and siding and fix our fence, and we could not be happier with our choice! Owner John Hess worked with our insurance company to ensure they paid for all needed repairs, which saved us several thousand dollars. We also took the opportunity to change the dated 1970s exterior color scheme and add touches like updated outdoor lights, and the results are stunning! Work began at the very end of February, and was completed in just over two weeks. (In contrast, the other contractors all said they couldn't start until about May.) The crews that did the actual work were experienced craftsmen who worked together smoothly and with impressive attention to detail. We were kept in the loop throughout every stage of our project so there were no surprises, which we greatly appreciated.If we had it to do all over, we would choose Urban Exteriors again without hesitation!

It's doubtful anyone in Wheat Ridge and surrounding areas will forget the hail storm on May 7, 2017. Within a week, I saw over 20 different roofing/construction signs within a couple of blocks from my home. That in itself made hiring someone overwhelming for me. One neighbor had their roof replaced rather quickly and used Urban Exteriors. They had nothing but good things to say about them. My next door neighbor hired another contractor quickly and had a nightmarish experience with them. Due to health reasons I did not get around to calling John Hess with Urban Exteriors until 4/30/18. He dealt with my insurance company the next day for upgrades from their initial settlement with me. Shingles were delivered 5/7/18, new roof installed 5/8/18 then gutters AND final city inspection on 5/9/18. That may be some kind of record, and apparently my delay was a blessing in disguise. Clearly, working with John Hess and Urban Exteriors was most definitely a blessing. I highly recommend them!

Would give zero stars if I could. Overpromised and under delivered. Urban Exteriors replaced my roof/gutters in 2018 after a hailstorm blew through Brighton. I referred company to 2 of my neighbors and am ashamed I did. they had as many problems and more with James being the project manager. Will never, never, never use this company again.

Tried to get Urban Exteriors to fix some hail damage to my house over the summer. James came out to look at our place and said he'd get us an estimate of the damage for our insurance company, which never came. We called, emailed and texted him for several weeks with no response. Finally, we go in touch with a manager and she said they had lost our estimate and would need to come out to appraise the damage again. Guess what? They never came. Wasted a lot of our time when we could have been hiring someone else to actually do the work. You can't give this company money if you wanted to. Can't speak to their work, but their customer service is certainly some of the worst I've ever seen.
