I just had an excellent experience with Valor. Our roof is over 15 years old, and we've been concerned about it, especially since the strong, damaging winds we had recently. So I asked Valor Roof and Solar to come and check it out.Will came and looked at it. He physically went up on the roof and checked it out. (He didn't just send up a drone!) And he took several photos, which he emailed to me. When he was done, he told me that the roof is in very good condition, and doesn't need any work. And there was no charge for the inspection. I'm so thankful! Of course I'll be calling them if/when we need to have any work done in the future.I'm so glad to have found Valor. Every person I've spoken to in their company is very kind, knowledgeable and respectful, and I highly recommend them for any roof work.

Brooke and Randy were very informative about the program. We tried to get the solar but our credit scores were too low. We definitely will be reaching out in the future once we billed it back up. Even though we didn’t qualify right now, Randy Was kind enough to get on our roof and check for damage. We had no idea about the damage we had and he had stated what we can do going forward. He even said that he’s able to help us once we get an estimate on the damage! Brooke and Randy were great!

Having lived in our home for 26 years... we've experienced a couple of pretty significant hail storms. So, it was our turn again in May of 2023 to get some large hail. This was the third time we, as homeowners, needed the roof to be re-shingled. We were approached by a very professional and knowledgeable sales representative from Valor Roof and Solar and made a decision to use their services to complete the shingle replacement and repairs caused by the recent storm. They were very helpful in working with our insurance adjuster to get us a favorable claim adjustment. We were able to schedule the work to be done in a timely fashion, which was appreciated since we had a lot going on with several family gatherings this past summer. The sales representative secured the necessary permit from the city, which assured me that Valor was a respectable business and that they could make all the needed arrangements with our insurance company. The crew that did the shingle removal and replacement was exceptional in every way. They were very respectful of our home's integrity and really worked hard to get everything done in less than twelve hours. The clean-up was meticulous, with no debris or any roof nails to be found around the entire perimeter. Once the work was done, Valor Roof and Solar scheduled the inspector from the City Of Aurora to finalize the permit inspection... which received an excellent grade.The closing documentation and payment were handled by their business office and we balanced to the penny with the final transaction. There are many choices in Colorado for hail-damaged roof repair, and I have no problem recommending this company, as they really did a GREAT JOB in handling the entire process for us. Hopefully, we will escape future hail storms... but if another one comes our way...we will be using the services of Valor Roof and Solar again.

These people showed up, rang my door bell, got me up from what I was doing to answer the door. They greeted me, and started into their sales pitch: solar installation. Leaving aside this practice of going door to door and interrupting people, they were polite.However, it was not a good time. I explained I was interested in the abstract, was planning to install something like this at some point in the next 18 months, but that I was in the middle of something. I asked them to leave me some literature, which I would be happy to review.They were not prepared to leave even a business card, much less any sort of coherent literature, and beyond that, they completely ignored me and kept spewing the sales pitch as if I had said nothing. I said "You aren't listening", went back inside, and closed the door in their face. I would have been very happy to review their literature, reach out to them when I was ready, make an appointment for a time of mutual convenience, discuss my requirements, have them construct a bid for my review, etc. But in the face of this sort of vacuous disregard, they would be the last people I would want anything to do with.(At this point, I suppose I need to put up a "No Solicitors" sign, expect it to be respected, report violations to law enforcement, and leave negative reviews online as needed... but that is another issue.)Your mileage may vary.

To be fair (only removing one star) I did not go with Valor for my solar system but this was for two reasons. The main one is I just didn't feel like the salesman was being honest with me. I've been researching solar for years and am pretty technical, but I caught him on several things that were just not true and he backtracked on them.The second thing is I have a stone covered steel roof and the company I did go with actually brings in the original roofer to pull the roof off in the affected sections so the solar guys can put the mounts on and then they re-attach the roof and make sure it's done correctly to ensure the original warranty stays intact.Valor was even a little cheaper than the company I went with but a combination of the sales guy I felt was not being totally honest with me and dealing with the roof led me to another company.

I’m very disappointed in the service I received from this company. We were using Valor to replace the roofing due to a hail storm.-They showed up many times without calling or would call 10 minutes before they got here. In the middle of the day on a weekday… some people have jobs outside of the house.- The company they hired to remove the gutters, literally ripped them off my house, leaving damage to my house and our solar charger.- The company who ripped the gutters off and painted the new ones, did NOT finish painting my gutters, left trash all over my yard and left tools in the front, including their rolling brush, paint brush, and the nails they removed.- They took all my attachments to my rain barrels… who does that?!?- The bill is very, very general and I asked for it to be broken down to show what they charged in comparison to my insurance quote, this took over 5 months to finally get.- The communication in the office is extremely lacking. The lady who answers the phone should remember she is the face of the company and her attitude will lose customers for Valor.I hope no one else has this experience- I will not be referring anyone to this company.

We recently completed our solar panel install project with Valor/1Solar and we’re very happy with the outcome. They were very clear with all the steps and constantly checked in with us throughout the process.While we were waiting for permitting (from the city and Xcel), they continually followed up to ensure things were still moving. Our contact (Nich Sheldon), was easy to work with and helpful all the way up the end. We’re now generating solar power and would highly recommend this group!

I've been wanting to go solar for so long, but just never got around to it. So when David Stevens from Valor knocked on my door back in April, I figured, sure, let's give it a shot. He was really nice and seemed so passionate about solar that I had a great feeling going into my meeting with Valor.Well, the results are in! My bill last August from Xcel was about $280, but this year, it's only $40, which is for gas, not electricity. My solar bill is only $220 a month, so it seems right off the bat I'm saving around $40 this year compared to last year, which is great news!I've been impressed with Valor throughout this process. It happened so much faster than I was expecting. From the time I signed up to the time it got turned on was less than 3 months. Valor actually had it installed in just a couple of weeks!I guess from all of the news I thought it wouldn't be done until the end of the summer, but Denver and Xcel have really sped up the permitting and activation process.There were a few hiccups along the way, like the inspectors showing up without any warning. They had to come back a few times because they came when I wasn't home, seems like they should have called me in advance to let me know. But every time I called David he was very responsive, and he checked in on me from time to time to make sure everything was going ok, which was nice.5 stars for David and the team at Valor!

My first contact was with David Stevens.Pleasant young man, gave me the information that I needed and said someone named Lee Rhodes would be in contact with me to do a thorough review of everything that needed to be done for solar, pricing, etc.I was convinced after checking reviews and I was satisfied with Valor. From that point on they took care of everything, kept me fully informed of what why and when things were being done from start to finish.It took less than two months to get it all done with Valor keeping me well informed of the process. I’m very pleased with the company and the people that work for them and I like my solar system!

A few years ago, Valor did an exceptional job working with our insurance company, then delivered an excellent product with a professional team. Recently I called Valor to request a hail-damage inspection. Max -- whom I recognized from my earlier roofing install -- showed up. Max delivered prompt and professional service once again. My solar journey started back in May 2023 with valor. As of September the system is running and all issues have been promised to be resolved. Mark Brown is very responsive and customer service driven. I had several issues with One Solar and Valor employees during the whole process however Mark stepped up to the plate and worked on getting the issues resolved. No matter what time line you are given at lease double that as I was promised up and running by July but it was really August by the time most of the issue were resolved. This is not fully the fault of Valor but One Solar, the power company and the City or County conducting the inspections. Overall the process is stressful and you need to keep on both Valor and One Solar but once the system is installed no electric bill is worth it.

We had an excellent salesperson who sold us a solar system back in March 2023, which was installed in May. Unfortunately, there were issues with the office's paperwork, leading to miscommunication with Xcel and the solar installation company. As a result, our solar system was not activated until late July, just before we had to take it down from the roof due to damage from the June storms. I only had the solar system operational for three weeks.Will, from the company, was very helpful with the insurance process and initiated the replacement of our damaged roof. However, the solar panels have been sitting in my garage for the past nine weeks because the office failed to schedule a mid-roof inspection, leading to the involvement of an engineer. Furthermore, they repeatedly overlooked sending an inspector to my house. When the inspector finally came, the roof failed the inspection, but was fixed the same day (minor problem). That was 3 days ago and inspector still hasn't been sent back out.Now, I've received a message stating that they can't schedule another inspection until after the 14th. Throughout this ordeal, I've been paying for the solar system as well as my regular Xcel bill, but I've only been able to use the solar panels for a total of three weeks. My garage is unusable, and the solar panels are getting scratched up while we have to navigate around them. To make matters worse, the roofers left a gauge in one of my windows, and despite submitting the requested quote from my contractor, the company deemed it too expensive and has yet to send someone to address the issue. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences, and it has put my home improvement plans on hold due to the ongoing delays with this company.Services: Roof repair for storm & wind damage, Roof installation

Last update: They did great work on our roof, gutters, and skylights. All of the workers who did the construction were very nice and it looks like it was a quality job.Update: they are trying to make it right and so far have been much more communicative and better to work with. I'll update this again after the job is done. It has been a crazy hail season.When we were getting ready to file a claim and replace the roof, they were very communicative. We are scheduled to have a new roof next week and signed our contract on 7/2 and since then we have had no communication. The person we've talked to at Valor has basically gone radio silent. We wanted to add a few things and pay out of pocket for them but every time we ask, we don't get any information. At this point I don't even know if we are still getting a roof next week.

I want to give a shout out to Valor Solar, and an even bigger shout out to Nich Sheldon. From the moment we met Nich we were comfortable and knew we were in great hands. We decided to get Solar and every step was exactly as Nich told us, and significantly ahead of schedule. Every single person who we have worked with has been amazing.
