Platte River Roofing replaced our old 3-tab roof with architectural shingles in February 2024 and are more than happy with the results. John Kennedy was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to ensure the new roof met every one of our specifications. He was very detail-oriented, professional and provided us a very clear and easy-to-read quote and timeline. His crew was kind and professional and did a thorough clean up job at the end. The turnaround was exactly what he’d relayed to us during planning and the new roof was up in one day. John was patient and provided us with just what we needed to get our insurance claim fully approved. We love the new roof and cannot recommend John and Platte River Roofing enough!

UPDATE November 2023: we had another roof installed by Platte River Roofing this year on our new house after extensive hail damage occurred in April and May. It was hectic and full of delays, but John was communicative and understanding of our frustrations. He was frustrated as well, since the last and longest delay was caused by shingle supply chain issues. The job finally completed the final weekend of September and the work quality was excellent as expected. The crew was fast and did a great job cleaning up. John and Michelle were very accommodating and understanding for the next 2 months while I fought with unresponsive and unhelpful insurance to get paid out for the overages that occurred.All in all, the experience went as well as it could have given all the external frustrations. I truly appreciate John, Michelle, and their excellent crew for all they did.---------Original review:About 2 weeks before we were set to close on the sale of our house, we were informed the roof had to be replaced or no one would insure the house. In a panic, we found Platte River Roofing and called. John met me about 90 minutes later at the house for an inspection and it took only a few seconds up there for him to know the entire roof had to be replaced.John was able to get us in the following week and not only were they fast, but the quality of work was fantastic, with the final product looking incredibly sharp.Everyone we spoke and worked with was friendly, polite, and professional. I can't thank John enough for helping us out at the last minute and ensuring we could move forward with our sale. Scott is very responsive and overwhelmingly helpful in providing competitive bids, communicating with both buyer and seller, and facilitating tight dates to keep the transaction moving to a successful close. He facilitated having solar panels removed and replaced, with a beautiful new roof installed in between. This was an excellent experience from beginning to end. Scott was very thorough in evaluating my existing roof, using a drone to survey the condition of existing tiles to avoid further damage. The estimates were fair with several options offered and thoroughly explained and there was no "hard sell". They were very accommodating about scheduling the job and the crew was prompt, efficient, and cleaned up thoroughly. Payment wasn't expected until the job was completed. Everyone worked hard and was incredibly pleasant. I wish I had found them sooner. Honest. Reliable. Fair price. Great work.

I was very impressed with this company after a big hail storm hit our area. Our solar company recommended them and I'm so glad they did. We had many people calling and stopping by to try and get our business but we went ahead and took our solar companies recommendation. Platte River Roofing was very easy to work with. They were very prompt and made sure they were at my house when my insurance adjuster was here to evaluate the damage. The roof was finished in one day, and the gutters the next. I really liked Matt the owner he is a very honest and reliable person. We own a rental house down the way that got hit by the same storm and they will be the ones replacing that roof as well!!

I called Platte River roofing because one of my neighbors was using them and they had good reviews online. They came out quickly for an estimate and it seemed liked all will go well and we were set on using them. After a week of not hearing back from them for the quote, I contacted them and they said we would have the numbers in a few days at the most. It has now been almost 4 weeks and I still have not had a return phone call or email. They did not follow through with what they told me so unfortunately I would not trust them to work on my house.

Working with Platte was really great. Our insurance was a bit of another story but Matt and Ashley did everything they could to keep the process moving and finish in a timely manner. They came out immediately after I contacted them about our hail damage and even tarped our skylights that were leaking due to the hail. They were always easy to get in touch with and prompt with any replies (during one of the biggest storm recoveries we've probably had in Colorado). Their subcontractors all did amazing work too and we've referred them out to friends, who've also been very satisfied. It's really nice to work with a real, local company who knows what they're doing.

Platte River has my full endorsement. They were able to rearrange roof replacement a couple of times and they actually were able to find a crew to do it in 2 days when we found out buyers lender wouldnt not do escrow for new roof prior to closing. Platte River were able to do it so quickly that we closed when we were supposed to. They are straight shooters and the type of guys you would want to have a beer with. If you need a roof, use them. I cant recommend them enough, they were recommended by buyers agent and I was hesitant but so glad I went with them.

I contacted Platte River to get an estimate for a roof replacement. I talked with someone on the phone who was very personable, and we set up a specific date/time for an appointment. When the time came around, Platte River never showed up. Simple put, I took time out of my schedule to meet them, but they never came; this is both unprofessional and demonstrates a lack of respect for my time. Needless to say, I don't think I can use Platte River for my roofing needs if they won't even show up for a scheduled appointment.

I wish we had not needed a new roof, but when we did after a hailstorm, Matt and his crew took great care of us! Materials were loaded the day before, the crew showed up like clock work and they worked very hard to get our roof done quickly and well. They took care of all the details - like permits, inspections, materials, cleanup - so we didn't have too. They know roofing inside and out so there were no surprises! I highly recommend.

After the 2' March snow we noticed a small leak on the bathroom wall. I called Platte River Roofing and spoke to John Kennedy. He was able to come out to the house the next morning. He explained everything he would do to find the leak. First he took a look at the spot where it had leaked. After several trips up and down the ladder and doing multiple water tests he found that the roof wasn't leaking. It was caused by the large amount of snow and wind blowing the snow into a vent. He said the roof was in really good condition. I found John to be very plesant and thorough. I would definitely call on him if I have any roof problems in the future. With the stress of realizing a new roof was needed, and never having had to go through the process before, Matt was very patient with explaining each step so that I understood clearly what to expect. He had a great roof color recommendation which I ended up going with and couldn't be happier with the result! On top of all of this, the entire process - from claim to new roof - took less than 1 month to complete. I was amazed at how fast everything went once the decisions had all been made. The team working on my roof were in and out within the day, and everything was picked up and hauled away as if they had never been there. With his help I got an exact match on the shingle color after not knowing where to even start. He and the other guys did such a through job on relaying the shingles and underlayment that needed to be dealt with. Not only do they work incredibly fast but the quality of their work is second to none. I had them check out my own roof and luckily I don't need any work yet.
