I was driving from Colorado to Iowa and found this hidden gem along the way. The staff were friendly, the food was very good, and the prices were reasonable. I had the bison burger and it was cooked just right. Had to have a slice of one of their many pie options too, so good! Before I was leaving I saw fresh sticky pecan cinnamon rolls come out from the back. I asked if I could buy the pan with the rolls in it to bring home to my family. The server said, sure, wrapped it up and I was on my way. If I’m ever lucky enough to take this drive again, I’m stopping at Lucy’s Place! Go, enjoy the small town diner atmosphere, and eat some good food.

Little cafe in the middle of nowhere, I was freezing on my bike riding towards Denver, stopped for a coffee and enjoyed the old time charm with Old chairs and dirty curtains, hope they stay open. Loved the framed different kind of barbed wires! Really nice people. So glad I stopped. Also Nick Nolte was there, zoom in the last pic:)

Rode my Indian all the way from Milwaukee to hit a hail storm as I entered Colorado from Nebraska. Low and behold I needed to get off the highway and boom there was Lucy's Cafe. Great specials (Chicken/Hamburger fried steak) see photo. Also tried Rocky Mountain Oysters (Bull balls) see photo, and was able to wait out the storm. Coincidentally on the way back, my throttle sensor acted up and I was riding slowy on the shoulder of the highway for about 5 miles and the next exit was, bum bum bah??? Lucy's Cafe again. Couldn't believe my throttle acted up at the exact same spot on the map. Let my bike rest for an hour and had an awesome green chile omelet. This place is a the only joint within 20 miles of anything. Love Lucy's! I won't forget it for many reasons.

5 Star Diner! We ate lunch here, on a road trip. Buffalo burger with fries; green chili smothered breakfast burrito. The burrito had lots of veggies, including fresh mushrooms. But, the pies! 11 different kinds today! Hubby had cherry with ice cream; I had strawberry rhubarb. Everything was delicious. We will stop here again on our way home!

I absolutely loved this place! When you get off the highway, you can't see it well, you just see the abandoned gas station. Go a little further, it's there and open. Old school diners like this one are few and far between anymore. The food was all homemade and excellent. The pie reminded me of my grandmother's pie. It was so good. Lucy told us that it was her grandmother's recipe. The service was alse great. If you're passing through, I highly recommend this little place.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. As soon as went inside the place smelled strongly of armpits. We weren’t even seated we had to seat ourselves, and there wasn’t even enough room for us to sit. The waitress was extremely rude almost knocking my mom over when she passed with drinks. The waitress also looked like she was on drugs heavily. She informed us there was basically nothing on the menu. We decided to get our drinks to go and leave. On top of all that we got charged full price for our drinks and they didn’t even fill them all the way. She also had an attitude when we said we wanted our drinks to go. 0/10 do not recommend. Completely unacceptable.

I have stopped here several times and have been pleased with this restaurant every time. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food has always been quite good with good-sized portions. I try to stop here when I am driving through.Parking: Parking lot it large enough for truck and trailer or RV with a gas station nearby.

They don't make diners like this anymore! We missed the main exit to the major chains and glad we ended up at Lucy's next to the exit. You might almost feel like you are in an episode of 'Alice', save a wisecracking waitresses calling you hon or sugar. The food was fresh, with a great pie selection and snacks. Try the blueberry pie, your tastebuds will forever thank you.

Great American restaurant on our way to hwy 80. My husband got a chicken fried steak and he devoured it. My burrito was enormous and tasty. I didn't have any space left for dessert but the pies on the counter looked delicious. They surely use a lot of butter, but overall it was a great meal. It was also nice to see how the staff knew everyone by name.

Traveling from California to Wisconsin for the holidays and found this hidden gem along the way. Prices are great, customer service was phenomenal, and the food was delicious! I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwhich and the white chicken soup (i think thats what it was called) and my husband had the biscuits and gravy, and French toast with hashbrowns. We shared a caramel apple nut pie with ice-cream and it was so rich and so good! Plenty of parking and plenty of sitting. Cute little Diner!

Stopped here on a road trip across the united states. I've eaten hundreds of different burgers and Lucy's bison burgers are the best I've ever had. Reasonably priced, comfortable restaurant, and damn good milkshakes. 5 stars all day

Glad I decided to stop. Best grub I've had in awhile. Steak was outstanding. Most places right off the highway are pretty awful so it's always a risk, but this place is road side dining the way it should be, the way it used to be.

DO NOT pass this place up.The Buffalo burger was unreal. Crinkle cut fries cooked perfectly, lightly crunchy with a soft center. Chicken fried steak was very good, Mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy is excellent. You couldn't ask for any better Pies. We had apple, caramel nut and a regular apple, both warm and a la mode. We got a cinnamon roll to go, I have no doubts that it too will be delicious. The locals have quite a gem here. The food isn't the only thing that'll bring us back every time we're in the area, you'll have no complaints about the service either. The ladies were great!
