Very cool self guided tour. $12 per person. They have a veteran and senior discount. The business hours posted on Google are incorrect - this business closes at 4PM; not 4:30PM. The owners were kind enough to let us in with 15 mins left until 4PM, but there's a sign on their road that indicates the closing time is 4PM.Inside the mill is awesome. Very educational and raw. It literally looks like they stopped operations yesterday and you're taking the tour today. Nothing was moved or organized; you see everything. The log books, paper towels, manuals, etc everything is left out for everyone to see. It's actually pretty cool, as you're walking through. There are even some buttons your kids can press as you all walk through, so they can see how some of the machinery works. The owners were really friendly, patient, and genuinely interested/passionate about this place. We'd definitely recommend this place to others.

Always a fun place to take pictures. People who like machinery, mining, or just industrial looking stuff will live this. You can still turn things on to see them operate. Gift shop has local ore specimens and steel balls from the gold mill. Great historical information. The guy that works there clearly loves his job and loves telling stories.

It was fun to explore on a self-guided tour. Three of the machines still had power hooked up to them. You could start them up by pushing and holding a nearby button.

This is a must see if you have any interest in mining or engineering in general. Everything is well preserved, and the self guided tour has lots of information. Took us about an hour. Lots of process details you can learn about ore refinement. Pairs well with the old 100 mining tour, two different parts of the same operation.

This was a great find in Silverton. The mill is massive and it is a very unique adventure to be able to walk through it. The staff was very knowledgeable and make the place come alive with a rich history.

Really awesome self guided tour. The mill dates back to the 1920s and is still full of all of the machinery. The man working there (cant remember his name) was very knowledgeable and quite a character. All in all a really unique experience. I highly recommend it if you're in the silverton area.

Super cool way to learn about the old mills and mining over the ages. Only $10 and the guy who runs it knows so much

This was such an interesting tour, even if your not into mining it’s worth a peak for the history of the area.

We wouldn’t go here again without a tour guide. It was pretty junky and dirty with poorly done signs. It could be great but needs a lot of work. About $40 for 8 and took about an hour since we didn’t know what anything was. IF you love mining history or know some about it I imagine you’d love the original pieces laying around

It's hard to overstate how much we enjoyed this tour of a gold MILL!! There are a number of gold MINES, but how many MILLS that feel like they could still be ran with less effort than you'd believe? You ever wonder what happens to the rocks that come out of the mines? This is where they went! We were so lucky that the owner (who is a lifelong miner himself, and a nice guy!) was able to give us an AMAZING amount of info. It really helped make it all make sense. Thanks, when we come back to Silverton, I want to really get into the guts of this place. It's incredibly fascinating!

Cool self-guided tour of an old mill used to mine for many decades. Very reasonable price. Lot's of stuff to look at and you get to navigate around the whole facility. The best part is you can push buttons along the tour to see machinery move, which is really fun for the kids and just cool to see this old machinery still operating. Highly recommend.

Love this place, enough to take my family twice and recommend it to friends. Very educational. Kid-friendly too: in a stroke of genius, they hooked up various pieces of equipment to push-buttons so the kids can see them actually work. One example is a BIG auger that will rotate on command. It was only $24 for our family of four. Highly recommended if you find mining interesting or just like learning.

A must stop sight to see!!! Make sure you take the time to see all it has and had done!!!! Amazing!!! Glad we stopped!! I wanna say it was$10.00 per adult. But we'll worth it money.... More machines and tools than the eye can see.... It's truly bigger than you think it is inside..... And easy stairs. Some are narrow, but still easy with the hand rails... Please make it a stop to see and say you have done... You will tell your family and friends!!!!

A great place to visit. The staff running it when my family came was great. We got there 15 minutes before they closed, and the sign said last tour was 30 min prior to close, but they let us go on the tour anyways! Very cool to see how they extracted all the different things while mining (gold, silver, etc)

This doesn't look like much from outside, but it's a terrific tour of a genuine ore processing mill. You çan walk through the mill, seeing the machinery that take the ore from the crushing stage, all the way through to final metal separation. There are informational signs throughout that explain the process. A superbly preserved piece of Silverton history that must be seen!
