Dave is amazing!!!We were purchasing solar panels and discovered we had hail damage to our roof. Dave went above and beyond to get us a quote and personally meet with our insurance adjuster within days. He was prompt, courteous, and detailed with his follow up. He completed the work quickly and I believe he is the reason our insurance claim was approved.Two years later, while selling my house, I needed a new roof again during our cash closing process (three weeks start to finish). Dave did all paperwork, got me a same day quote, set-up solar panel removal and re-attachment, met with my insurance company...all within days. He is the reason I was able to accept a cash offer and sell my house.I would give his reference and sing his praises to anyone I care about! AMAZING!

We had four roofing contractors look at our roof, and the only one of them who said we had hail damage was David Perez. He took care of notifying our insurance company, the adjuster was here within days, and we are now getting a new roof and gutters and downspouts paid for by our insurance company. While David and his crew haven't begun the job yet, we feel confident they will do an excellent job. Thank you, David!

I’m writing this today because it stormed again. I used this company to replace my roof four years ago. Dave Perez came to my home, gave his sales pitch of doing excellent work that he guaranteed for a lifetime. I chose shingles, we made plans for the roof which included replacing some decking and soffit, then he demanded a deposit of $2500. About a week later during the evening while I was at work Dave called me. He had forgotten which shingles I had picked, and had me chose over the phone based on the name of the shingle color. Ok, a little disorganized, but we all make mistakes. Before any work on the roof started Dave insisted on negotiating the repair reimbursement from my homeowners insurance because the adjuster had not included any funds for labor. He kept pushing the idea that I’d be able to get more money from my insurance this way. It felt like a little bit of a scam. When the work began it was timely, but there were a few issues. First, one of the roofers asked to use my bathroom. Second, a roofer asked if he could smoke marijuana on my back porch. So..I understand the work is contracted but when I told Dave about these occurrences he just laughed them off. Third, the contractor who replaced our gutters cut the wrong length and wanted to see if I was ok with that or should he come again the next day and put up the proper length. The part that truly makes me seethe is that I had specifically requested the decking be replaced (at $45 per sheet) in several areas of the roof prior to any work being started. Dave reassured me many times that absolutely this would happen because he wants to stay in business a long time and he guaranteed his work for a LIFETIME. So, the roof is replaced and I inspect it. The areas where there were prior water leaks and damage to the decking were still spongy under the roofing materials. I can literally see the roof move when I step down. I texted Dave, told him I didn’t think the decking had been replaced. He told me he personally knew it had been because he had been at the house and that some “give” is normal. Also, I requested an itemized bill. Instead, he pestered me with phone calls within days of the work being “done” and finally emailed my bill (not itemized, just a total amount due) after I requested it for the third time. It’s four years later. I removed the ceiling of my back porch and can very clearly see old water damage. My gutters are lovely. The workers removed the lids to some solar tubes and dropped in debris but never cleaned it out so I have “dirty” looking lights inside the house. The flashing around my chimney is poorly placed and it leaks every time it rains hard. I would run as far from this company as you can....guaranteed work that isn’t done and isn’t actually guaranteed, unprofessional behavior, and weird demands for money upfront and before any bill is received.Services: Gutter installation, Roof repair

We had a hail storm, and I was very unimpressed with a roofer who kept returning to my home to talk me into signing with him. I felt harassed! I called EIB, since it was a local business that offered to come to my home right away. Dave Perez showed up within a day, and assured me he could get the roof replaced by the insurance company. He was very pleasant and did not pressure me at all.He met with an adjuster and pointed out damage that an original adjuster missed. The roof was completed quickly and the cleanup was great. Since then, Dave has also been very helpful with other home repairs.

I will forever be grateful to Excellence in Building LLC for their incredible service and support thru my project. I was in a difficult financial situation, received a very depreciated value insurance check for hail damage to my home's exterior, and I needed a new roof and facia for my home. Dave Perez was patient, understanding and crunched the numbers until he found a way to make my insurance check work and in the end my out of pocket was minimal. He was extremely honest with me about what work "must be" completed vs what work was optional, and we were able to make a plan that I felt good about. This company is professional, very responsive to phone calls, texts, and emails, efficient and detailed in all the work completed, and thorough to the very end. The crew even pulled out headlamps and worked in the dark to complete the job the same day when materials were delayed and the shed still needed to be shingled before a major winter storm hit! I cannot thank them enough, I'm truly grateful to have found a company where every employee is as honest and hard working as this one!

Dave Perez and his team have done a great job in getting our roof, deck and other small items fixed. Last year, we had hail damage on our roof, deck and other small items on our house. I knew who to contact, as 3 years prior to then we had Excellence in Building help us with damage due to hail. I went outside to evaluate the damage and who is walking up our street is Dave!!?? He was already in the neighborhood as other people he had helped prior had already contacted him! Excellence in Building takes care of everything, as well as talking with the insurance agent and filing all of the paperwork necessary. I would highly recommend calling Excellence in Building when you need the help on your house!

As a first time homeowner, I was taken aback when my insurance told me that they were going to drop me due to the age of my roof if I do not replace it. Not knowing exactly how to handle the situation, I called Excellence In Building LLC. The owner Dave informed me that he would be out to help me access the roof, with all the foul weather we have had with rain & hail, and see if we may be able to file a claim and make the process easier. Dave was out within a day and let me know that he would be handling this and he made arrangements to inspect the roof with my insurance claims adjuster & within a week I had a new roof on my house. I was pleasantly amazed at the level of professionalism, the ability to work with my insurance company, as well as making this a very stress free time for me. Dave and all those that represented Excellence In Building LLC, went above & beyond in making this a painless experience for me and as this was the first time I ever needed anything like this, I was extremely grateful for this customer experience. I would highly recommend that if you have any needs, that you make Excellence In Building LLC your first call, I know that I will be calling them if ever I need any other services.

Dave and his team, took really good care of me and my home, after a severe storm damaged our house. We had contractors and roofers knocking on our door daily, mostly shady type guys who were not local. I started my claim with one contractor, who kept confusing me and not making any sense. Come to find out, he was lying and trying to do some very dishonest stuff. I ended up calling Dave, and he came to my home, made complete sense, was honest, ethical, thorough, and knowledgable. Dave helped with my insurance claim, explained everything in a way that made sense, and got all my damages covered!
