I recently bought a house and the Coccomo Brothers did the renovation. Both Tommy and Michael were extremely professional and were upfront with all of the costs. I could not believe how quickly they were at the house to provide a quote and get started on the job. They worked quickly and the quality was amazing. I have had so many compliments on the renovations that they did. I would HIGHLY recommend the Coccomo Brothers for anyone looking for a new home or a renovation. They were great to work with. We recently built our newly constructed home by Coccomo Brothers at Farmington, Connecticut. All our friends and family loved the house and the quality of work done by Coccomo brothers in the house. The Coccomo brothers were very supportive, and accommodative to our innumerable requests to customize the house as per our wish. They were very patient with us, when sometimes we wanted to make certain structural changes when we don't like them, after the work was already done. I sincerely wish they build many more beautiful houses in Connecticut, and get recognition for their beautiful work. The Coccomo Brothers built our house and we love it! They found the exact open floor plan we were looking for and provided many custom features to make our house one of a kind. Their developments definitely aren’t cookie-cutter houses. We had a little issue with water coming in from the bulkhead well after our warranty expired, but Mike made sure the problem was fixed regardless. Good guys.

The Coccomo Brothers are the nicest, kindest individuals you will ever meet, until they milk every single dollar they can from you. They will show you their most expensive houses and explain how it can be in your price range, right until you sign on the dotted line. Then they have you do change order after change order until you've given them an additional 20k plus, any lies they can tell you to get you to sign anything they will say. Even if you do not sign or agree to anything they will talk about "verbal agreements" then they start getting nasty. They use such kind words as "it's cheaper to just pay it then get the lawyers involved" "if this goes to litigation who knows how long it will be until you get to move into your house". So once you finish spending 20-40k more than you would going to another builder is when the fun begins. Your first day moving in they give you a giant role of blue tape and tell you "anything that doesn't work put a piece of tape on it and we will fix it". I used that entire roll of tape and had to purchase a new one.My wife and I made a fun little translation guide to help you understand their lingo.Tomorrow = 2 weeks from todayNext week = 3-6 months from nowNext Month = Next yearIn the near future = NeverBut wait it may not be over for you yet! If you purchased a house in a subdivision under construction you get the added benefits of the following:Trash left everywhereTheir employees plugging extension cords into your house without askingTheir employees asking to use your brand new restroomsYour neighbors immediately putting their house on the market since they are tired of the Coccomo experience.I can say the best thing about it is you can build a wonderful relationships with your neighbors as you continually make fun of each other for being such fools by being tricked by a con man. We have dinner once a month and when the lights flicker for no apparent reason we all get a good hearty laugh at ourselves.Now if you've read this review and you still wish to continue with the Coccomo Brothers PLEASEDo the following:1. Record every single conversation you can with them.2. Take notes during every meeting and have them initial by your notes3. Before you sign anything have lawyers/witnesses4. Ask your potential new neighbors how they feel about their home5.Take a handyman night class so you can fix every broken thing that's suppose to be fixed in your warranty

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE.We signed a contract with Coccomo in May 2019 to build a home. When it was getting close to time to close we asked for balance. All of a sudden $38k in change orders were sent to us that we were unaware of and never signed. Their contract states that ALL change orders had to be signed by both parties PRIOR to the work being done. I had been asking Tom Coccomo for months to give us change orders and prices on things we were asking about but they went ahead and did the work without giving us any pricing. We offered them a fair price for the work that we had asked them to do but that was not good enough. They also made mistakes that they would not correct like they put all the wrong windows in the house and told us they would change them and install the correct windows per the contract but they never did. They also expected us to pay for their errors. They DO NOT honor their contract! Their work is sub-standard and they do not stand by it and they DO NOT honor their word. They are VERY unprofessional and dishonest. They stole all the extra materials that we had paid for and they were supposed to leave (paint, tile, crown molding etc.) we had to hire an attny but did not move forward with litigation since it would take at least a couple of years and my partner is 83 years old and did not want to wait for that. We wound up closing on our $550k home in “as is” condition. Totally unfinished, no locks, no walkway, missing door in screened room, floor unfinished etc. etc. etc. we will finish the home and the work will be better quality. They have a payment plan written into their contract so by the time it’s time to close you already have thousands and thousands of dollars into it. Then they use this against u to negate their own contract. They take great advantage of people and I would advise anyone wanting to build a home to go elsewhere!

Thomas, Michael and Paul Coccomo can be measured by their character- simply put, caring and thoughtful. 5 years ago they came to my family and offered to name the street of their subdivision in honor of our son Chris who had passed away. A gesture of support and kindness that will forever keep our son’s spirit via CHRISTOPHER WAY. I wholeheartedly support the Coccomo Brothers and all that they represent.
