From the very beginning of the planning process to the finishing touches, Josh and his amazing team went above and beyond expectations to make sure that our second-level full dormer, including adding a bathroom and working with a wonky roofline, was perfectly built. I heard about how contractors are unreliable, so I was cautious and did my research thoroughly. Josh Onofrio and Total Construction LLC came highly lauded. Josh is a local contractor in the Hamden/Branford area, doing this work all his life. Josh was super thorough, clear, and upfront about the process. Their prices also put a bigger company to shame when quoting the job. When the permits cleared, their crew was promptly on time every day, through sun, wind, rain. I kid you not - they were better to getting to work than I was! Josh's crew, Carl, Will, and Tee are amazing people who were respectful of our home, kind, and warm. I didn't know that such a contractor team was possible. I recommend them to family and friends. You'd be lucky to get into their schedule, so don't wait!

This will be the third time in Three years that I have used Total Construction. Josh and his crew have rebuilt my garage and completely opened the first floor on my previous house. The first job on my new home was replacing all the windows. and as usual they went above and beyond any expectations. Josh and his crew are always on time professional and neat. I would strongly recommend Total Construction for any project small or large.

It is with great pleasure to write a review for Onofrio Total Construction. Josh & team renovated my 2,500 ft Fairfield beach townhouse including: demolishing a wall, adding a support beam, installing 17 new windows and 8 sliding glass doors, built an entire new kitchen, installed appliances, transformed a closet into a laundry room, installed oak flooring, new tiling and renovated three bathrooms.I could not be happier with the outcome Josh is very knowledgeable and very good at communicating with the homeowner that is why my project was a success. Josh is also very honest, I made it clear I was on a tight budget and he worked with me always informed me of my options so I never had any surprises.The best quality is that when I realized we missed a few minor things on the punch-list he came back to finish even though he was paid in full (which is not common from most contractors).Josh stands by his family name and is a solid worker – his mom Deb is the designer who helped me pick out the cabinets, granite and appliances and his sister Brittany does the billing and sets up the appointments. They are a wonderful family, I would buy another property just so Josh & team can renovate another home for me – it was fun. I wish I could share before & after photo's but having issues w/google docs.

I had hired total construction to build my concrete patio. I can say that I can not recommend this business enough! 5 stars does not cut it! The professionalism is only the first thing I will point out. I was able to work with the company to create a huge stenciled concrete patio that honestly looks like stone. During the work I had pointed out that we had water problems due to our backyard being a hill as well as living on water company land. They were able to design drainage that was discreet and completely dried up my basement as well. Even at the end of the project I had asked for a firepit to be added and they didn't even hesitate! Even with all my add ons I was able to have my large dream patio AND stay on budget! I absolutely love my backyard now and it is all thanks to total construction! I will be using them from now on for any other projects I have.

Onofrio's came in to fix holes in drywall following electrical work. Additionally, they addressed some outstanding construction repairs which our house needed. Josh and his crew were beyond professional - they were expert at the work, efficient, clean, caring about our convenience, and flawless in their execution of the work. I will use them again without thinking twice when I need additional construction-type work to be done.
