The salesman needed to be more through in his inspection of the job to be done. I had told him about repairs that were needed. He did document them, but he didn't add an amount of possible cost to the estimate. When the installers started working on the repairs they said it would cost another $400 to fix the wall behind the bathtub. The installers had chipped the bathtub in 2 places & did not offer to repair them. My advise to anyone getting work done by this company is to take before & after pictures for many reasons. The product is very nice but the installers could be alittle bit more careful. The installers were clean and kept our house clean while they worked. We had called to have someone to come back & fix the shower/faucet from leaking and to repair the chipped tub. The repair guy did fix the leak but was not told about the chipped tub, so he didn't repair it. He told my wife that she could get a repair kit at Rocky's and do it ourselves.

I can not tell you how BEAUTIFUL our bathroom looks now! Bath Planet of Connecticut and Tri-State of Branford did such a wonderful job on our master bathroom. From start to finish the process went very smoothly. The price was a little higher then we wanted to pay but our salesman Matthew did a thorough presentation of the product and was VERY knowledgeable which put my husband and I at ease. The quality of the work is fantastic and the quality of the product is just as Matthew said it would be. Tri-State of Branford has the Quality, Expertise, and Reliability that no other company was able to match (we had 4 other contractors give us estimates). Michael and I would like to recommend Bath Planet of Connecticut to everyone looking for a bathroom update!

STAY AWAY FROM TRI STATE IN BRANFORD! VERY high pressure salesman - who lied threw his teeth about what we'd be getting for the OUTRAGOUS quote they gave us. Sadly we believed the things he said we'd get for our $8,000!!! Like - quality work, one day job, spray for mold (which he told us we had growing behind the tile but when tile was ripped out, NO MOLD and NO price adjustment) The installers were MESSY and left me with a shower stall that looked UNDONE! I was told I could go to ACE hardware and pick up some durabond if I wanted them to fix the sheet rock THEY DAMAGED taking my tub out. They promise ALOT and deliver barely nothing! I had to call several times to have them come back out and make the shower look FINISHED ( I finally got sick of having them come back and shower still looks undone ) Like the other reviews, my shower head they installed leaked and had plumbers tape sticking out where you can see it. Guy comes out to fix it, and it leaks the next day. (its still leaking) The shower wall they installed was BOWED out and it took several calls and sending the owner pictures to get them to fix it. Our "one day job" turned into a 3 month long hassle! AND 5 yrs of payments! Save yourself the headache and call HomeDepot! Oh and we too asked for a bill, several times, and was told (with a pause) okay, yet we NEVER got a bill till we were finally forced to sign off on the job. Total rip off BEWARE!

This place was local, fast, and good quality. I was a little skeptical at first because I had not ever heard of Tri-State, but after talking to the customer service reps on the phone and meeting the sales rep in person, I felt much more at ease. My windows were installed quickly and professionally and my home was left in better condition than it was before they started the installation. It was nice supporting a local company and I will certainly refer them to friends for family when I know they need to do something on their home.

I have been trying to call Tri-State now for a month but the lines were busy and now appear disconnected. I signed a deal with Matt (Brad's Nephew) for a special low price of $12,000 for 50 year shingles, later to find out I could have had it done with the same shingles elsewhere for $8,500 and the roof would be tarped. They stripped my old roof and installed a new one back in February 2007. They used a South American crew that never tarped the roof and 7 years later I'm still finding roofing nails in my lawn. The roof leaked the first heavy Spring rain and ruined the drywall in my 3 season room. They did fix the leak but refused to repair the damage. Several nails popped through the shingles and they did come out and patch them stating new plywood should have been installed, which was up to the South American crew to determine. Recently another leak developed over a window. Jeremy from Tri-State came out in August 2014 and determined the leak was because the roof was not properly flashed where it joined the siding. He said they would come out to fix it but now it appears as of late October that won't happen. My next move is to drive out to their location and try to see them face to face, if anyone is still there. If that doesn't work it's off to small claims court with Brad and Kathleen (left out last names but you can look it up), the two members listed on C.O.N.C.O.R.D. under TRI-STATE OF BRANFORD, LLC which is the state of CT Commercial Recording Division. The LLC still shows active. In CT they have a Home Improvement Guarantee Fund up to $15,000 to correct these problems if small claims provides a judgement in your favor. The Shingle manufacturer wants nothing to do with it since it is an installation issue. I really didn't want to go down the ugly road but see no option. I would be glad to withdraw my negative comments and repace them with accolades if they would just follow through on their promise and back up their work.

We had the company come out to give us an estimate for vinyl siding and a roof. The man from Tri-State showed up with just a folder (he did not bring any siding samples) and walked around the property with me looking at the house. He then began telling me (in a condescending manor) that the house needed 75K - 100K worth of repairs before he would install the siding, and that if the local building inspector saw the house that they would condemn it if they came by for an inspection. How insulting can one be. He was completely unprofessional and out of line. We received 4 other quotes from companies and they all said that all was needed was some very minor repairs (2K - 5k) to fix. Oh, The local building inspector has been out to our property numerous times for repairs and upgrades int the past 2 years and has not condemned us. Tri-State also left without even giving me a quote on the siding or roof. This company is NOT recommended.

Scammers.Saw a deal posted on Living Social for "Bath Planet". Called them for an estimate, then they sent a high energy, high pressure sales guy from "Tri-State of Branford" who wasted over 2 hours of my time. The Living Social deal sounded too good to be true, shame on me for not listening to my original gut feeling. On top of that their quote was outrageously high. Nearly $8000 for a acrylic "re-bath" type piece of garbage shower installation? Get bent you guys. How do you sleep at night? Probably nicely on top of all that money you swindle out of little old widows who easily succumb to your high pressure tactics.I would have let this go as it was my fault for being stupid and inviting these guys into my home. The REAL reason for this review is these SCAMMERS will sell your contact info. That's right! If you dont buy from them they sell your information to other businesses that will start calling you with telemarketing calls.AVOID! Find a contractor that doesnt have to resort to semi-dishonest marketing ploys!

The job was well done but they don't keep to the lifetime warranty as promised. Effort to reach them has proofed futile because the number on the website does not work. Customer service is really poor. I would have given them zero if that was an option. I will not recommend this company to friends and for that matter anyone.
