I was sold a house with a defective deck and had 4 contractors come to my home with estimates. While each had varying price points, Dukes fell somewhere in the middle. Dukes was the only one that answered all my questions and explained the process, which stood out to me. The work exceeded all of my expectations that I ended up hiring him to do a new chimney, walk in closet and shed stairs for me. I am so pleased with the quality of their work. I was not happy with this company. Marco came out to clean my chimney and was here for less than 20 mins. Told us we were all good and needed caps for the top of the chimney. He stated he would order them and be back within a few days. I followed up with him and he schedule a date to be here and was a no show. He is unreliable and unresponsive. We will not be using this company again.

Dukes Chimney came out to clean our chimney, they also were given the job to install our wood burning stove. Being in the professional industry and dealing with many hvac techs, I for sure would not have used an adapter to connect the stove to the liner but then again it’s not my insurance who will pay for any damages that is caused if there is a fire, or carbon monoxide poisoning. Make sure when they come out they take measurements and come back with all materials and supplies, this could have been 5 stars if the installation wasn’t a rush.

They did an inspection and cleaned the chimneys. We had trouble reaching them on getting the info on the inspection, but they did offer to come out on a Saturday to make things right and get us the information. Great customer service.

I called and Marco came within a few hours to evaluate what needed to be done with my damaged chimney. He estimated what I felt was a fair price and we scheduled it for a repair/replacement in a very reasonable time frame. He came by this afternoon and did the job. I have to say I am extremely impressed with his workmanship and quality of materials. I have no doubt that I made the right choice in choosing Marco and I highly recommend that you do the same. Duke’s did a great job! They came quickly and then came back at my request for the other chimney, because that did such a great job for the first one. Both times they were reliable, they were able to secure my chimney cap that had fallen off and completely repaired my loose trim on my other chimney. The first company I dealt with told me so many things were wrong, just to get more money from me and then went out of business. I got another estimate before Duke’s from another company who also tried to rip me off. Duke’s was very fair in their pricing and did not try to creat problems that didn’t exist. I contacted Dukes on Thursday of last week. The same day he went to my property and gave me a very fair estimate. I contacted a number of other places around Danbury as well and Dukes was by far the most fair and most responsive to my calls and texts discussing the job.I decided to have them do the install. I contacted on Sunday night (I hated disturbing him on a Sunday but this was a bad situation) and within a short amount of time I had the install confirmed for the very next day! They showed up at my house Monday afternoon exactly at the time he said they'd come. This in itself was highly impressive. The install was fast and smooth and in just a few hours I had the pellet stove running and filling my chilly home with some much needed heat!This is Christmas week but they still squeezed me in at very short notice and did an excellent job. I can't say enough about their responsiveness. I was about to go through the next few holiday weeks freezing in my house with these very low single digit / low teen temperatures.In all, I HIGHLY recommend Dukes. They are fast, courteous, and do excellent work. I will absolutely be using them for any and all chimney work I need done going forward on my many properties.Thanks again guys, you guys rock! - Jim

I bought pellet stove from my friend last year. I called Dukes Chimneys to pick up and install at my house even in a cold day he went up to the roof to checked and cleaned my chimneys making sure everything is right before he started to install. He is very professional installing nice and neat job. My pellet stove came out look so great in my family room. I was able to use my pellet stove in the same day right before Christmas. He did a wonderful job and very reasonable price. I wont be able find anyone can do closer to his price with excellent service like him.This year I Called him again to clean up my pellet stove and chimney.

We moved to our home in 2016 and after a critter made its way down our chimney, Marco was the first person to help us - he capped our chimney, after patiently describing all the options and costs involved. He even came by after a Nor-Easter took one of the caps off and replaced it with a smile. Marco has helped us estimate future projects, and just today looked at the chimney only to confirm we didn't need it cleaned until next year. He's honest, personable, and a helpful. On his way out, he was kind enough to talk about some other work we've done, reminding me once again what a pleasure it is to work with him - I'd recommend him to anyone looking for Chimney or masonry work.

I highly recommend Dukes. I noticed our chimney had creosote build-up and then the cap blew off during a recent storm. I made an appointment with Dukes and was extremely pleased. He came on time, cleaned the chimney, replaced the cap and left no mess whatsoever. He charged $150 ($125 to clean and $25 to replace the cap), which I felt was a very fair price. I will absolutely use Dukes again in the future.

Duke's Chimneys recently did significant repairs to my neglected massive stone fireplace which is about 100 years old. They completely rebuilt the firebox and smoke chamber, replaced the back wall fire bricks, repointed a lot of the exterior stone and replaced a leaking chimney cap. The service was impeccable, timely, and thorough. Everything works like new even though it retains all of its antique character. I would recommend Dukes without hesitation.

Marco is a true professional. I was having a recurring problem with CO. Marco checked out and repaired where necessary the chimney and furnace flues to ensure they were clear and clean. Found that the vent from my hot water heater was clogged. Was unable to get a call back from my regular chimney sweep, so called Duke's at 7:30 in the evening expecting to leave a message. Michael picked up and when I explained the situation said he would come first thing in the morning. Did a great job repairing what was a dangerous condition and I now have a new chimney guy.

I spent two weeks trying to get someone to look at my pellet stove because we just moved to our house and for some reason no one was picking up nor calling us back. I really don'D understand how businesses in Connecticut run their business because it baffles me how they never keep to their words. So I stumbled on Dukes chimneys and immediately marco text me asking what the problem was and we scheduled for a date which he was early might I add. He was in and out. He taught my husband how work the stove and we are now enjoying the fruit of his labor on my pellet stove. Marco was wonderful and I would recommend Dukes in a heartbeat 🙂
