They did quality work and went above and beyond what was agreed upon. Helio worked with my budget and never cut corners. HM Construction was thoroughly vetted and eventually hired by our development to repair and replace decks, roofs, sky lights and siding thus far. That is just to name a few projects on our list as a few more are in the works.Not only did they come in at a reasonable and competitive price but their work has been efficient and beautiful.After seeing their finished products, my husband and I reached out to the owner Helio to inquire about building stairs on our deck to lead down to our lawn.Again, they came in at a fair price and were quick and efficient with their work. I would recommend Helio and his team without a single reservation! At the onset of our job, Helio first met with us and discussed at length the specifics of what we were looking for in our basement renovation. Our wish list was extensive and included moving pipes and plumbing, changing the staircase, installing a new window, creating a half bathroom and laundry room, and building lots and lots of closets for storage. He then put us in the very capable hands of our project manager, Van, who was a pleasure to work with; Van saw to every detail and made sure of our satisfaction at each step along the way. He also offered suggestions based on his extensive expertise that helped the overall project significantly. The craftsmanship and expertise of each of the team members was outstanding - from construction, carpentry and woodworking, to tiling, painting and flooring - and we quickly learned that there wasn't anything we would ask for that they could not accommodate and accomplish beautifully. Our finished basement is beyond our expectations and we could not be happier with how it turned out. H&M did an outstanding job for us on a large outdoor home project that included a very big curved trex deck, substantial wood siding and trim replacement as well as a full exterior painting. The work crews were all a pleasure to have on site, professional, efficient and well-supervised.H&M was also our lowest bidder. While we worried about this initially, we felt that the price was fair and we put the low bid concern aside because H&M came so highly recommended by a local building supply company. In the end we found that H&M used high quality materials, did quality work and stuck to the agreed upon price despite a few surprises and changes throughout the project.We couldn’t be happier with the result and can recommend H&M with our highest confidence.

I've had Helio and his crew do two projects at my house now, one to repaint the exterior and rebuild the porch stairs, and the second to fix some water damage in a guest bathroom. Both times were positive experiences. He's very responsive to texts or phone calls, both for the initial planning and during the project. The workers did their work quickly and were courteous and respectful of the house. When unexpected issues come up (as can happen in any home improvement project) he got them resolved quickly without complaint or trying to squeeze for extra money. All in all highly recommended.

Helio and his crew are very easy to work with and very professional. Helio worked with us from start to finish to quote our project and make adjustments as needed. We hired HM to completely finish our basement and remodel an upstairs bathroom. We wanted to gain space in the smaller bathroom and he had great suggestions to make that happen - I can't believe how much bigger it is and how much better it functions now. The basement is literally a brand new house -the quality of work is phenomenal. His entire crew was so respectful, they showed up early and often worked well into the evening to meet deadlines. Even with a few bumps like delayed floor delivery and hold ups in the permitting office, Helio worked to keep our schedule to the best of his ability. Vin and his carpenter crew were able to take my vision and make it a reality, building a bar, a large built in for storage, and they added tons of creative storage so we wouldn't lose the function of our basement with the remodel. Helio and team were great to work with especially our project manager Van. Our goal was to have the work finished prior to moving into our home which created a tight timeline but Helio delivered! We were very happy with the work that was done and how flexible Helio and his team were to minor changes and adjustments through the process. Price was fair for the amount of work that was done. They made a strong push at the end to make sure work was completed prior to our move in date. All of the staff are extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. We made sure our contract was very specific and detailed as to the scope of the work to be done to help keep track of the process. UPDATE 10/20/2022We had another project that we were putting off to give us a breather. They did an outstanding job last year. We had some extra funds and figured let’s not put it off. We had such a great experience with HM Construction we hired them again and well worth it. I will not trust anyone else but HM Construction with any future projects for my home. If you want it done right, do you know who to call They are dependable, reliable, very fair in pricing and provide good quality labor. You will not be sorry hiring HM Construction for any projects you have for your home. If I could give them 100+ stars I would.We had a very good experience with HM Construction. We had our kitchen and master bathroom remodeled. When we first met with Helio, he was very animated and excited about the project and gave us ideas as to what we can do and what we could expect. Other contractors that gave us estimates did not show any enthusiasm whatsoever.He had a kitchen designer to help us figure out the best design that worked for the kitchen and bath. Helio has a great team and a great project manager that supervised every detail to perfection. There were no hidden fees, no surprises and HM Construction were upfront and honest. The crew cleaned up and were very careful with our furniture by protecting it from dust and dirt during the demo process. HM Construction gave us a selection of cabinets and counter tops to choose from. The whole process was smooth and painless. The outcome surpassed our expectations and for this we recommend HM construction for any projects that you may have. If we I could give 100 plus stars we would.

EDIT 9/24/21:We hire HM Construction to remodel our very old and outdated kitchen and adjoining bathroom. HM Construction previously worked on our den, and it was a no-brainer to go with them again for the next big project. HM's quote was fair and there were no hidden costs along the way. Helio is incredibly responsive and is always able to fairly address any issues that may arise during construction. HM got us in touch with a designer who came up with a floor plan that we never would have thought of otherwise. Our kitchen was a huge project and the results are unbelievable. The workmanship is top notch and we could not be happier. HM is trustworthy, fair, and does excellent work. We could not more highly recommend HM Construction for any home project.Original Review:We hired Helio and his team at HM to completely gut a 2nd floor bathroom and remodel a den, which included tearing down a ceiling and raising the ceiling to a sloped pitch to follow our roof line, as well as to add a skylight.I can’t speak highly enough of Helio and his team. The work and craftsmanship were top notch. Pablo led the demolition of plaster and wood panel walls and the installation of drywall, and did a fantastic job. Everything came out beautifully. It is apparent that all of the workers take pride in their work. They were incredibly clean and respectful of our home during construction, which is a really important but often overlooked part of the job.Beyond the quality of work, we are so pleased with HM Construction for other reasons. First, Helio’s responsiveness and care for our wishes. Any questions or issues that came up, he was available to discuss and resolve. No modifications were a big deal to him, and he and his team were able to take care of everything we asked for. Additionally, his pricing is fair and we feel like what we paid was well worth the work done. We had a wonderful experience with HM CONSTRUCTION. We had Helio come see the basement and within a few days we had an estimate back. We were impressed at how honest and thorough the estimate was, no hidden costs. Once hired work began within two weeks and the team was consistently on site between 7:45 and 8, some nights staying past 7pm when something needed to be completed. Van, our project manager, was willing to work with us on ideas and took our Pinterest visions and turned them into our own (we were very prepared and had our vision for the project and wants noted) The project was completed ahead of schedule and we could not be happier! Helio and his team renovated an unfinished basement for me right before the holiday season. It went from completely unfinished to absolutely stunning basement that my children can now play in with all their toys and even affords me a little quiet time to watch TV in my man cave. I had put off this project for over 4 years. One call to Helio and he was there in timely fashion, analyzed the space and planned out the project with his crew. They were always on time everyday, worked religiously, never saw them goofing off or taking unneeded breaks and were professional at all times. They worked with all my ideas( believe me I had many as my wife and I had many questions and they answered each one and at times made recommendations that either saved us money or let us know some suggestions that may have worked better. They always gave us the choice. Their carpentry is on point. His electrician is top notch and knows what he is doing. His painters are masterful with their brushes. I had not one single complaint about the work done and they were priced fair for the job. Helio even took the time to follow up and see how we liked things even months after the work was completed.I recently used him again for some yard projects like fixing some outlets that were blown in the yard next to the pool & sent me his guys to help.
