Recently used the services of Gold Star Remodeling and was completely satisfied. Initially, contracted this company for a master bath renovation and then again for the downstairs powder room. The removal of a 32+ year jetted tub and surround along with the motor was a challenge. A wall had to be removed and a new one constructed to accommodate the length of the new shower pan. New flooring had its own set of challenges as one of the walls was a "roof pitch" but Dave managed to lay it down to our satisfaction. Our old vanity was repurposed by painting it navy blue to coordinate with the new medicine cabinet and all the walls were painted a contrasting light blue. White baseboards were installed and new lighting completed the project. The project took a bit longer than expected due to the challenges the plumber faced with our post-and-beam constructed house. They had to upgrade the 1-1/2 inch tub drain with a 2 inch shower drain to satisfy the town's building code without cutting into any of the posts or beams. The powder room went much faster and the same flooring and paint colors were used. No plumbing issues and Gold Star Remodeling was able to complete their tasks without issue. I bought a 20 year old house expecting to replace old carpeting, and maybe have some touch-up painting done. When David and I walked through the day after closing, we discovered problem after problem. David had a suggested remedy for each problem that made sense.So he's installed vinyl planking throughout the entire house and has come up with the solution for the uneven baseboards. He has painted just about every surface, and has done it all this work with skill, accuracy, and dedication to making everything as close to perfect as possible. His workmanship is exceptional. He takes great pride in doing the best job possible.David is reliable, responsible, and determined to put the client's needs first. He keeps telling me he wants me to be happy with my house and his work.David is honest beyond any question. I am comfortable trusting him with the key to the house; that's not something I have often done with craftspeople. I recommend him wholeheartedly. I sent David an email and received a prompt response and he advised would be at my home the following Tuesday to provide a quote. He arrived on time and was given a very fair price to clean my gutters that literally had branches sticking out of them. He performed the work on the spot and I was very pleased with the results.
