I have been a house builder in MA for 45 years, and am helping a friend restore her lake house in New Fairfield CT.I was so impressed with this company.Richie comes out right away to give an estimate, is very experienced, comforting to talk with, showed up on time always, did everything he said he was going to do and executed a perfect brand new roof with his team in one day. Yes, one day!This means they showed up early to set up, protected the house, removed the old roof, replaced anything rotten, applied rubber to the entire roof, then applied the new architectural shingles. They carted all the debris away. They also made custom copper flashings around the chimney that failed, new brown aluminum custom flashing around the skylights, and tackled some tricky carpentry to replace a section of the siding that had rotted.The extra work was very reasonably priced, and the cost of the new roof was at industry standard. This review is a follow up to a previously submitted review. If I had the ability or knowhow to remove the previous 1 Star review, I would. Richard has been nothing short of wonderful! And the previous issue has been completely resolved. I realize that on occasion things go wrong and don't always happen as we would like. We are all fallible. No one is perfect. Not in our personal lives nor our professional lives. The important thing is to resolve whatever misunderstanding may have occurred and move on. Richard and I did just that. He remedied the issue perfectly and was extremely gracious and professional. So much so, I requested an estimate on replacing the roof to my barn. I am so impressed by how well Richard handled everything that I plan to hiring him to replace the roof on my barn. Having to replace a roof, repair a roof, and the like is not only a significant expense but also very stressful. When you can't do the work yourself you must rely on someone else. This also makes you vulnerable and very cautious. It's important to hire a professional you trust. I trust Richard. And you should too!Service: Roof installation

Richie is excellent to work with. Was the only one willing to come out 12/26 and look at my roof leak. Patched it up in no time and even found it to be a lesser problem which came at a lesser price than the original quote. We will be using him for all our roof and gutter work.

I purchased a home in Newtown, CT, April 2021. Richie's company installed a new roof Dec 2020. After moving in, I noticed an installation issue the edge of the roof in several places in near the roof rafters, during a routine pest inspection because I had an issue with wasps along the roof line and gutters. I immediately reached out to the previous owner to get the contact information on the roof installer, Richie. I have called Richie and texted Richie on numerous occasions since August 2021. It is now December 2021. 5 months later. He has routinely not returned my calls or responded to me texts consistently nor has he answered his phone consistently. When he has, he has said he will come by or send someone and has no showed several times. When he finally did come by, in October, he inspected the roof and told me he had to order "some parts". I have called and texted him repeatedly since then. When he finally answered his phone around the first week of November he said the parts had come in and he'd stop by. I HAVE NOT SEEN NOR HEARD FORM HIM SINCE. HE DOES NOT ANSWER HIS PHONE AND DOES NOT RESPOND TO TEXT MESSAGES. I see he has had very good reviews in the past. I am sure he has done good work for some. I have no idea what is going on with him now and why he has chosen to ignore my repeated requests for remedy. I may have no other choice than to file a formal complaint with his licensing agency and possibly litigation. Slow and loud so far, review in progress.Update: The unprofessionalism and liability can not be understated. A danger to any community or families. The noise due to outdated equipment is one thing but the direct harassment of residents is another entirely.
