Found out I needed a new chimney when I discovered water leaking through my living room ceiling. Called up creative chimney and was able to get an in depth thorough explanation of how to resolve the issue. Needed a chimney rebuild. The team at creative chimney was respectful,timely, and very efficient. They put in very long hours to get the job done. They were able to effectively troubleshoot on the job as needed. They even worked through rain storms! Can’t beat that.

Ed and his team did a wonderful job. We used another contractor to fix a leak coming in through our chimney flashing, and within a year it started leaking again. I called Ed and he was quick to diagnose the issue and explain to me the process for fixing the previous contractors errors. The process to fix the flashing was done quickly and professionally and we have had no issues since. The end product quality is night and day from our prior contractor. With the current rising costs of oil and the unfortunate inflation we are living in, I decided on a whim with very short notice to call Ed at Creative Masonry to get a wood stove insert installed. The turn around was so fast. In just a little over a week we had the stove ordered and installed. The team that did the install were extremely polite more than courteous and are some of the few people that still respect people's homes by offering to wear a mask and immediately putting shoe coverings on their boots the minute they walk into a home. The team was awesome, punctual, arrived on time, the install was seamless, and they were more than knowledgeable and helpful during the entire process. They cleaned up after themselves as if they had never been there and Ed the owner has been on standby from the morning and even into the late evening during the entire process, ready to answer and offer any advice and help. The price was very very fair and he helped out a lot during this tumultuous economic time. The team that works with Ed did an AMAZING job of repairing and replacing the top of our chimney. Would highly highly recommend. Ed and his team at Creative Masonry are absolutely stand up guys, all very professional. They rebuilt my chimney from the flashing up and it came out beautifully. As well they installed a stainless steel liner for my furnace flue which was done very neatly, cleanly, and professionally. I called Ed needing my chimney rebuilt right away so that I could then replace my roof by a tight deadline. He was able to fit me into their busy schedule, and only rescheduled one day later because the stainless steel liner didn't ship on time. The crew arrived early in the arrival window time, got right to work, and did a great job. The old, broken chimney was removed, a liner installed (and a dead bird removed in the process), and the new chimney was built with flashing and a pretty cap. Cleanup was thorough and the entire crew was respectful of my property, even suggesting that I move my car before work began so that no damage would be done. Ed with Creative Masonry was so helpful in our time of need - we have a wonderful wood burning fireplace that was significantly damaged from a tenant’s use. We needed an estimate in short order to repair damaged brick, and he walked us through the options, the process and cost estimates. No one solution was pushed more than another, and he took the time to understand our goals for heat / ambiance / etc. I feel like we came to an economical solution to fix the problem, and left me feeling very comfortable. I can’t wait to complete the project in time for winter!

I was very impressed with Creative Masonry. They responded very quickly to my request for repair work to be done to a outside step/landing - even though it was a tiny job compared to the type of work they normally do. Due to the size of the job they said they would fit me in around other work, which I had anticipated and totally understood. So happy that they were able to do the work 2 or 3 days after contacting them. The morning of the work they called to let me know what time they would be there. Pedro and Samuel the team who showed up. Super friendly, professional. Did a great job and left everything very neat. I would highly recommend them and not hesitate to use them for any other services.

After much searching I found and hired Creative Masonry & Chimney to replace my gas fireplace surround and hearth with granite. After my first contact with Ed, he came out to my house within a day or so to take measurements, discuss the job and give me a quote. I was so pleased with how smoothly the entire process went. The granite itself is beautiful, without blemishes, and the two workers did an excellent job. They also cleaned up the area and took away all the trash from the old surround and hearth. I thought the price was reasonable considering quotes I had received from other businesses. I found Ed to be professional, personable and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company.

Ed and his crew did a great job fixing the top of our chimney and adding a cap! Ed came over to give me an estimate within two hours of my initial call and the job was complete three days later. I liked that his discussion of the job was straightforward; he explained why they needed scaffolding versus just ladders. The cost came within the budget I had set and was about right based on the research I had done (its worth getting a couple of quotes; one of the other quotes was 50% higher for the same work.) The crew arrived when they said they would, were friendly, and cleaned up well. I recommend Creative Masonry & Chimney.

I was in a bad situation and Ed was there to help me. We were about to close on a house and we found out at the last minute that we were going to need a chimney liner installation. Everyone else said that it would be at least 3 weeks to make it happen. Ed reworked his schedule and was going to get it done in a week for me if not sooner. Luckily we ended up settling for a cash payment instead of getting the work done but if not Creative Masonry would have saved me. I can say that Ed was great to deal with.

I have two chimneys that needed to be replaced. Ed from Creative Masonry was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done in order to avoid future leaking issues. Everything he told me (we also received a signed contract prior to) he did exactly as was explained. His men worked diligently and they did a fabulous and professional job, as I had expected. Creative Masonry exceeded all of my expectations. They didn't leave a mess on the roof and they cleaned up nicely after they were done. The job took 2 days for 1 oversized chimney and another regular size chimney that they had to knock down and rebuild. Beautiful job on chimnies and I will, without a doubt, use them again for all of my masonry needs. They made quite an impression upon themselves and the neighbors are commenting on the beautiful work they did. Thank you Ed and crew!!

My chimney repair came out great. I had a terrible water leak and needed the entire top of my chimney replaced. My home is old and the bricks were crumbling. When the water saturated the brick my walls where getting damaged. I called six contractors and Ed was the first to respond. I felt comfortable with him and his proposal. Had a great experience with Ed. Saw the company ad in the Yankee Flyer here in Farmington, CT. Placed a call and received Ed's call back within 5 minutes. He came over this morning and evaluated the job - some repointing of joints and remortaring of 4 thin bricks that had fallen off of our front stoop kicker. His crew arrived later this afternoon and completed the repair. No muss - no fuss. I would highly recommend Creative Masonry & Chimney for any masonry work. Professional, timely, and reasonably priced.

I called to schedule an appointment to have a cap put on my chimney. When I initially called, I spoke to someone at their office. Later that day, someone in the field called me to confirm my address and appointment. Their schedule was pretty busy, but I wasn't in a huge hurry, so we scheduled the work to be done the following week, on Wednesday. I wasn't given a time, so I requested that someone just give me a call on Tuesday or Wednesday to give me a window of when they might show up. I'm flexible, so anytime worked. I just wanted an idea.Tuesday came and went with no call. Wednesday came and by 5pm, I realized that they weren't showing up.Admittedly I could have called their office back to ask what happened and schedule a new appointment. But I felt put off by their no-show on Wednesday. So Thursday morning I called Strictly Chimneys instead. That same afternoon a crew stopped by and installed the new cap in less than 30 minutes. Mario also charged much less than the estimate Creative Masonry supplied.I don't doubt that Creative Masonry provides excellent service and their work is probably great. But this experience left me feeling less than confident in their reliability.Edit: I received a call from Creative Masonry shortly after the owner saw this review. He apologized for the no-show and explained that the error was due to a technological issue.

Highly recommended. Crumbling chimney needed to be replaced. They tore down the old one and built the new one in one day. These guys came in the morning, set up their scaffolding and were done by afternoon. The new chimney looks great. The entire crew were all hard working guys who know their craft. Owner/manager Ed was very friendly, easy to work with and quickly replied to messages when setting up the job.
