Absolutely terrible experience with Odesa Builders. They missed the appointment time TWICE and they don’t even give you the courtesy of letting you know they’re running behind or an issue has arose that is going to delay them. They call you after the time frame they initiated and just expect you to reschedule. As a business, communication with clients shouldn’t be that difficult. I am not sure why they are the preferred partners with Home Depot but I’m reaching out to corporate to file a formal complaint. This behavior is disgusting and from the looks of the rest of the reviews, I’m not the only one they’ve screwed over.

1. Person who handled the measurements took from "7-10" days to more like 20 days to get the measurements back to home depot. As a result, i could not get my door order placed. After I finally placed my 2 door order, and after I waited for an extra 30 days or so for the manufacturing of the doors from the vendor, at install i find out that one of the doors was not measured correctly and could not be installed. Not to mention that the door had dents, scratchest. One of the doors was installed, and IT has some alignment issues and is allowing cold air into the house. Not good!!!2. About another "30" days, now about 2 and 1/2 months into this door install and the replacement door comes and IT also has damage. Told installers not to install.3. So homedepot places a 3rd order for this door, and again i wait another "30" days or so. Door comes into Home Depot, I have to wait for Odessa Builders to call me and give me a date, which was always about 14+ days away. They do, show up and again the door had damage!!! This one worse than the others. Being tired and winter approaching i agreed to have door installed. December 2018 comes and I find out that the door is warped, and has a reasonable gap on the top allowing for crazy cold air to come into the house. Not to mention that i literally have to slam the door so it can close. Or would open again!!, So upset!!!!4. I call the installer from Odessa about the difficulty closing the door, he tells me that all new install are like that; I was not closing an old door like the one I had. Being no help, i contacted home depot who i hired for this awful project. To conclude, I have been in regular contact with home depot till today 9/6/19. I started this door project back in July 2018. I am still trying to get this resolved with home depot, and they take long to respond after sending them pictures of the issues at hand and all.In all fairness, Odessa is not responsible for the time it takes for home depot to get the doors. Or if door was damaged from the factory like i believe my door was. I review Odessa Builders mainly on the install of my 2 doors, the wait time to schedule the install, and taking the wrong intitial measurements. All considered, very bad experience overall.

After an error with my order at Home Depot and a long wait for my front door, Odessa Builders called me to schedule my install for August 30, 2023. The appointment was cancelled due to heavy rain. I called in to reschedule and was offered September 4th....Labor Day.On the day of my install, Gabriel called me early that morning to let know he was coming to do the install. Before arriving, he called me from Home Depot and made sure my order was correct. Once he arrived, he advised that job would take about 4 or 5 hours. Even though it was a holiday and extremely hot that day, he was professional during the whole process. He also took the time to call me outside when he unpackaged my door. I was pleased with his work and he made me feel valued as a customer.

I paid for a scheduled visit to inspect my front door at the advisory of the Home Depot door dept. guy. A week later Odessa Builders called to make an appointment for two and a half weeks out. 4hrs before the scheduled appointment time they called to cancel because another appointment nearby canceled and they didn't want to come out for only my paid appointment with them. 4 days later they made it to my home only to tell me that I was right and I just need a standard size door. Vladimir informed me that they would have an estimate for me in three days or less. Here I am 9 days later, even after a phone call on day 7 and not a word. Supposedly I'm on the top of the list. I'm completely dissatisfied. If something positive happens during this experience I will update. I do not recommend Odessa Builders.

My experience with Odessa Builders was an absolute nightmare. First of all, they are ridiculously priced. $1400 to put a slider door in (the door was just a few hundred of that $1400) is highway robbery. I set my appointment with them for an arrival time between 8-10am. They showed at noon and were unable to do the job because of an issue with the condo association needing to give permission (my bad). They weren't too upset about this. I made an appointment for about a month from that point. I called the office to schedule this new appointment and was told they can do between 8-10am once again. It rained a little bit that morning and at 830am, it was beautiful out. Yet, they decided to call and cancel because they chose to do another job indoors. I was not happy.I called and made an appointment for 2 weeks from then with another 8-10am arrival window. I received an email confirming the date/time. It was 10am and they hadn't yet showed, so I decided to call the office. I left a voicemail and an hour and a half later, still no call back. I decided to call again and the lady in the office said she just got in and hadn't checked voicemails yet (its 11:30am! what?). I told her my tenant is still waiting for them to arrive. She says they didn't have me in the schedule!! I was irate and said I wanted my $ back and wanted to cancel the job. We decided to set another appointment up for a week later, same arrival time. It rained a little bit, so they canceled again.A week later they finally came and tried to sell me more unnecessary work (something about removing the entire deck...). I was told that Vladimir would consider refunding some of my money back since the whole experience was a disaster. I'm still waiting & not holding my breath. Safe to say, I will never use them again and if anyone ever asks about them, I will tell them this horror story. Stay away!In response to the reply made by the business owner: I did not lie about one thing I posted. You contradicted yourself several times in your own reply. This makes you seem very shady and not honest at all. You said you didn't take a penny from me, but then go on to say you get a portion of the labor. You get all of the labor because Home Depot said the labor rate is your own and you get the money for all of the labor. Also, the first time you came, you were 2 hours past the 8-10am window you initially gave. I did not ask for permission from the condo association, that was my fault. I acknowledged that and you were there for less than an hour so there is NO way it cost you $300 to take the door out and pop it back in. It took 45 minutes for all of it. Give me a break, your labor rates are high but not THAT high! I never told anyone that I was taking time off from my job to meet you at the condo. Every single time I talked to Valerie, I told her my tenant and friend would be there on his day off, so I'm not sure why even lie about that fact. Finally, a couple times it rained BEFORE the 8-10am window I was given and stopped shortly before 8 or just after and I was told my appt was canceled. That's ridiculous. It took months to get a damn slider door in. You have many bad reviews for a reason. Your company sucks. You are not honest, prompt, affordable or good at what you do. Home Depot really needs to cut bait and find a new door company to work with.

This maybe the worst all-around general contractor. How this company makes money has me completely baffled. I had no choice but to use this contractor to measure and install an exterior door via Home Depot purchase. I made the first appointment to have the doorway measured in a 4 hour window of time to only be blown off with no phone call. I returned to Home Depot to make a second appointment with a different contractor and that’s when I learned that Home Depot only uses this contractor in my area per door installs. I like Home Depot so I let them arrange a second appointment for the Measure with this contractor. This time they were kind enough to give me a 1 hour window from 7 AM to 8 AM which I happily took assuming there was no way they would screw this up because it would be the first appointment of their day. Well I sure was wrong because for the second time they left me sitting on my thunbs with no phone call let me know they are blowing me off again. After speaking to them regarding the first missed appointment I learned this company has no business in the customer service industry. They actually tried to make the fact that they missed my appointment my fault because I asked them to call before they came. They told me they tried to call me and I didn’t answer so they didn’t come. Of course they didn’t leave a msg proving there claim. Straight out lie as I waited there for 6 hours with my phone in my hand waiting for their phone call.Home Depot Should get rid of this contractor as they are the ultimate ones who are losing business and getting a bad reputation. Since Odessa is the only contractor for Exterior doors in my area, I’ll have to move onto Lowe’s.

I paid Home Depot to have a quote done for a front door entry replacement at my house, and Odessa Builders were the contractors that contacted me who would be coming out to do the quote. We made a date, and then that morning they called me to cancel because the guy "had a personal matter to deal with" and so we had to reschedule. Then on the rescheduled day, we were 1.5 hours into my 2 hour window and I hadn't heard from them, so I called the main office and the receptionist called the guy to check in and see where he was. She then says he was on an install job that was running long and he wasn't going to be out to my house until much later. Whatever. So I wait... 2 hours go by, then 3, then I finally give up knowing this guy isn't coming out to my house. So Odessa blew me off completely, and here I am the next day and I STILL haven't even heard from them. I already called Home Depot, cancelled the quotation and got a refund... I am going with Lowe's now and Home Depot's corporate office will be hearing from me. Steer clear of Odessa, they are clearly inept at customer service so I can't even imagine what their installation / labor ethic is like.

I had 2 storm doors installed on July 2nd. Installer neglected to rout holes for the door locks to fully lock and one of the doors stuck a little making my elderly tenant pull/push the door more than she's comfortable. Same installer arrives today 40 mins late because apparently the 8am to noon window wasn't enough. Installer informs ME how to fix the harder to open and close door then tells me that the doors don't lock fully and no routing was necessary. If I was aware that my elderly tenant wouldn't be able to fully utilize the locks I would've save a few dollars by purchasing storm doors with no locks. If that weren't enough...No protective mask was worn today as he was telling me how I'm wrong, standing next to my elderly tenant. Avoid this business at all costs

Had a barn door installed to a very uneven door way as we learned. First we had Patrick come measure. He was so detailed and so friendly with myself my husband and children. The we had Vladimir come to install two weeks later and boy did he have his work cut out for him! Instead of just throwing the door up saying not my issue (our door molding was making it looks so off center) he started custome cutting things and getting different wood boards to make it look the perfect!! We couldn't be any more happy with the work they have done. Five stars from the work they did to the customer service!

The only thing worse than this company’s customer service is the actual “work” they do. I can attest to the other Home Depot-related horror stories on here, as it took four visits (with two incorrect measurements), three wasted vacation days and SIX months to get four doors installed. When we demanded compensation for their mistakes, we got absolutely nothing but grief.Stay away from this company. Do not give them your money.

Inability to get the job done. Have been told for the last 2 months that a simple measurement (HxWxD) for a storm door was forthcoming. After 3-4 calls, each time told it should be done in a day or two. Save your time and find a contractor that wants the business and can get the job done - in your lifetime.
