What a crazy year 2023 was! Water damage, wind damage, mold discovery, mold removal and remediation! Not how I planned to start the year, and certainly not what we had in mind for home improvement ideas. We saw some great reviews and gave Gary a call. That was the best decision we made! Gary and his team, Tiffany, Hector, and Javier, treated our problem as if it was their own home. Gary was always available when we had questions and kept us updated throughout the process. On a reference from a dear friend of ours, we called in Gary to look at some tile in our basement that we wanted to know if it contained asbestos or not. While he was assessing that, he found a mold problem lurking. This initial meeting to assess possible asbestos turned in to almost a year together.Gary and his team found mold in several areas of our house from previous water damage. He also found asbestos in our drywall while trying to take care of mold and water damage issues. I called Gary after we found mold in our basement behind some trim. I knew of his business just from seeing his truck outside our neighbor’s house, checked his reviews online, and gave him a call. Our best decision ever in what could-have-been a nightmare for our family. If I could give Gary and his team 6 stars I would.From the first call, Gary’s communication was outstanding. He showed up when he said he would, returned calls, explained (and explained again) each step whenever I asked, walked me through the insurance claim process and worked seamlessly with our insurance adjuster. The water damage was more extensive than we thought. At the end of the process, it felt like we had friends helping us through the work. Gary and his awesome team came to our home after our basement had flooded due to a sump pump failure. Months later, our basement had started to smell musty. In addition, our sunroom had had some water damage in the past, and was in such bad shape that we never went in there. Giordano restoration was recommended by a close family when my home incurred water damage as the result of roofing ice dams. Gary and his team responded quickly and went to work assessing the damage which, upon initial inspection, seemed to be isolated to one room. However, upon completion of Gary's assessment, and his recommended for air quality testing, it turned out that all but 1 room of the 7 bedroom, 3.5 bath home was impacted and the mold was not only substantial it was toxic.Gary and his team were professional, efficient and they treated my home and the contents as if it were their own.I have the utmost respect for Gary and his team. I talked to a few companies before going with Giordano Restoration, and ultimately chose Gary because he wasn’t trying to scare me or downplay our situation (both scenarios which I encountered elsewhere). I could not be happier with the job Gary and his team did. My basement was a swimming pool and Gary came out within a couple of hours of my call, pumped everything out and dried it out. He and his team then proceeded to remove all the damaged items, including walls, after which the cleaning began. I can say that my basement was the cleanest room in the house. He made very sure that there would be no concern for mold growth. Testing for mold made sure of that, and had proven my basement extremely clean and most importantly, safe. He also made dealing with the insurance company very seamless. If you ever need water damage/mold remediation, I would not call anyone else. Gary was great. We had a mold inspection done (the inspector did not do a good job) which found elevated mold levels in the air. We found Gary online and had him come down to look at the house and give an estimate. Gary was very punctual and extremely professional. He did his own inspection (much more thorough than our actual mold inspector) and he didn’t find much visible signs of mold problems. We believed it to be our air duct system which had recently been poorly cleaned by another company. He thought that could be the case and recommended a great duct cleaning service as well as a different mold inspection service. Both of those companies did a fantastic job. In the end we didn’t have to use Giordano restoration but Gary looked very closely at our house, helped us find companies that do the work right, and really listened to our concerns. He cared about the issues we were having and wanted to ensure we get it fixed, even if it was by him. I highly recommend his services.

Gary was called in by my insurance adjuster because she suspected a mold problem. When he came to the house, he sat with us and explained exactly what he was going to do. He proceeded to inspect the basement, the first floor, the second floor, the attic and the roof. Once completed, he came back and sat with us again and explained what was required to remediate our problems and there were many problems. Without getting into details, let me say that the problems were such that we had to move out of our house for six months while Gary orchestrated the job. He hired contractors for the roof, the siding, carpentry, ceiling and wall work, carpeting and painting. While his specialty is mold abatement, Gary is well versed in all aspects of home repair and the contractors he hires are top notch. On top of all that, Gary and his crew were terrific and exceptional. The only thing we had to do was move into a hotel and Gary even loaded the items we were taking with us in his truck and brought them to the hotel.
