Grateful to have found Dafa construction for my family. Fabian and his team are truly a reliable general contractor who was great to work with. Especially after searching for other reliable contractors with no luck. They were able to maximize our fire insurance claim to update our home and loved the results! Our hardwood floors were brought back to life. Our home walls repaired to look smooth and odor smoke free made such a difference. Inside and out our home transformation does not stop impressing friends and family.

Reliable and informative all the way through our home remodel project! We updated our kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living room areas after closing on our first home. Fabian, Denis and Rafael were always there to go over any questions. We loved our finishes / tile selection for our backslash and ceramic and vinyl flooring. We received many estimates before deciding and are glad we went with this construction company as from the beginning they were detailed. They handled permits and zoning with building inspectors.

Our childhood home prior to selling was in need of everything being updated inside and out. Vinyl siding, replacement windows, and the shingle roof was replaced and came out exactly how we wanted! Dafa and their team handled it all. Significantly better price than power home remodeling with the same labor and material warranties that they offer. The stucco stairs, garage door, and the inside made this home come back for a future family to enjoy. Highly recommended

The addition to our home came out exactly how we wanted! We now have two additional bedrooms for our family and both zoning and the building department inspectors passed with ease each part of inspection process. Dafa construction handled permit, survey, drawings and everything else we needed to get construction started. I was recommended general contractor after neighbor got an adu built next door. Fabian and his team did a fantastic job with this project. We always dreamt of having a open kitchen and an island. They executed this to perfection. They have high expertise in their field. For example, when I asked for an open kitchen, they right away knew exactly what needs to be done. This including having to add a beam for stability.His team works really hard and they do a a high quality job executing my vision. I would 10/10 recommend hiring this company. They are also really helpful when small things come up, they care about their customers.

I had a project I thought I could DIY and realized quickly I was in way over my head after I had been screwed over by a contractor. DAFA construction worked with me on material I had already purchased. They came in and completed my first project (bathroom full remodel) very quickly and came out spectacular. Without question I decided to have them take a look at my Kitchen for a full remodel and by the end of the day they had already started. Both projects coming out better than I could imagine (especially if I ever tried to complete it myself). The entire team was very hardworking, professional and accommodating. I had a bad taste in my mouth for contractors prior to hiring DAFA construction, but they definitely restored my faith there is good people who care and take pride in their work. Jo and Fabian redid my kitchen and I’m at loss for words! When we bought our home the thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was our kitchen. It was outdated but we had no clue as to what we wanted so we sat on it for months. I saw DAFA doing the exterior of nearby home and asked one of the staff members if they did interiors, and he gave me Fabian’s number.They came the next day, looked it over, and had an estimate along with design ideas for me in less than 2 days. As you can see they tore all the old stuff out and every removed a support beam that was in the way and now this new island looks spectacular!Wish I had before pics but it was so ugly I couldn’t even find myself taking picture lol. The DAFA Construction team was brilliant. They saved me a big headache. My previous contractors botched the job and didn’t complete it. I was going to try and do it myself but I took the chance on DAFA Construction. I couldn’t have asked for more of an enjoyable experience.I am a detailed orientated guy and I was honestly impressed by their attention to detail. They were always wearing masks and cleaning up after themselves especially during these COVID times. I have been concerned with having people in my house but they took extra precautions. When all was said and done, they left me with a beautiful finished attic where I’m going to have my new office.These guys are trustable, reliable and do great work. I highly recommend them and would definitely have them work on future projects. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! Worse experience ever!!!! First of all these two brothers only been in business 1 year and don't know what the heck they're doing. I've been a general contractor for close to 17 years but is not presently doing business, so I hired this company to do some remodeling for me at my West Haven residence. These brothers don't personally do the work themselves (thank God) as they sub everything out to sub contractors. The father is experienced but lives in NY, the sons takes their guidance from their father who comes to the job site once in a while to check out the work. This was a labor only contract since I had already purchased my materials before contracting with them. I allowed the brothers to order the rest of what was needed. When I got to the store, one of the associate that I've known for some years asked me was there a reason for me purchasing the most expensive installation they carry. He continued telling me that the installation cost well over a thousand and that the cheaper installation pretty much does the same thing. When I asked Fabian, (one of the brothers) why he had ordered the expensive installation, he said because it was thicker, smh... when a person's house is already insulated and is wrapped, there's no need for a thick installation. By the store sells man bringing this to my attention it saved me $800. Then there was the wood. Who orders pressure treated wood for inside framing? Ridiculous!!!! Which I may add is more expensive then interior framing wood. And who ever heard of 2x3x9... ridiculous!!! They text me telling me they need me to pick up some 2x3x9 wood, smh... These guys is a joke! So I say all this to add the fact that this company don't care about wasting customers money. Now aside from what I've already mentioned, the worse was them installing a bay window for me and not securing the window and it raining that night, or was it the skunk that got into my house after their workers left and left my side door open and me not noticing it was still open until that night, or was it my neighbors complaining about how the outside of my house was looking because these guys left trash, scrap materials, etc.. all around my house. The night before Christmas after installing my bay window, it rained and water poured through my window, ruined some of my brand new wood, and the back of my bed. This started at around 10pm at night and continued to after 4am Christmas morning. Every 5 minutes dumping buckets of water, aside from having a skunk in my house. Even after telling them about the skunk, I lived with this skunk for like seven days, oh and the skunk sprayed. What a nightmare... if you would like to see the video of this, it will be posted on Youtube today, titled... 'Beware of DAFA, worse Christmas eve ever!' And the end results is, DAFA abandoned my job before completing the work due my not agreeing to pay them extra money for another window that they agreed to install in another room. Oh one more thing I will mention is, "Make sure you get everything in writing from these guys.' They will keep coming up with ways to get more money out of you, and also be sure to lock them into a resonable start and finish date, cause they will drag their feet if you don't. I don't know who these people are that left those 5 star rating, maybe family members, friends, paid reviews, I don't know, but their experience was wayyy different from mine!!Service: Remodeling
