We’ve worked with Ron and team on two projects so far with another one in the works. We have an older home that poses a lot of challenges, but Ron takes the time to explain options, what to expect in the process and keeps us up to date on next steps. We’ve been thrilled with the work by Mainville Construction which has included new windows and doors as well as completely rebuilding our entryway in a style that matched original trim on our 1925 home. We will definitely continue to work with Ron and his team!

Comprehensive Remodel - Older house (1950's) with "lots of issues". Ron came in and took our vision to the next level with some good ideas. Nothing was easy in this old house, but they took care of each new challenge as it came up and the result was always positive. All of the workers were reliable and skilled, and whenever necessary Ron stepped in himself to make sure nothing was overlooked.Every effort was made to accommodate "life during renovation", and things were done when promised. As with any major reno, crisis came up and were handled. The carpenters even took extra efforts to allow us to keep our pets in the house and safe during the 4 month process.Follow up was prompt and thorough. I've done two major projects with Mainville Remodeling and they've always done an excellent job. They manage to do quality work, on time and under budget. Working with Ron, Paul and his crew was a pleasure! I contacted Ron about a new pressure treated deck late in the summer and he came out to take a look, measure, and provide an initial estimate. After we signed, we had a new deck in a months time! Everything went very smoothly and the deck looks beautiful. The attention to detail and craftsmanship, even on a basic rectangular deck, was greatly appreciated. Another positive, if you go the pressure treated route, they use kiln dried wood so you could theoretically stain right after it’s done too! I highly recommend Mainville Construction, especially if you’re looking for a new deck. I know I’ll be reaching out again with any major renos we decide to do in the future.

I can’t express fully the disappointment I have in Ron at Mainville. Our brand new hardwood floors had to be refinished FOUR times! And still they are a disaster. The floor scratches and scuffs even with felt on the chairs. Parts of it look like water damage where they sanded so much. We feel like we had to beg to get Ron to come out to look at the floors after the second time through. Never came back again after the third and forth times. Never ever came out during the other parts of the project to see how the construction was going. Going into the forth time of the floors being done all he cared about expressing was he was worried we wouldn’t pay him the final balance. He should have been worried that his client was going through all this. And in the end they did NOT have the brand new hardwood floor they paid for. Never even came out to see the final product. We did pay him the final balance. But I wish we had not because this floor is a disgrace and I’m embarrassed to show our brand new kitchen off because the floors look awful. We did not get what we paid for.

I met Ron at one of the home shows in Hartford. I immediately felt comfortable with him and felt he understood my vision. The project included taking a wall down between the kitchen and living area, total gut and remodel of the kitchen, installing a half bath, installing a new roof, and constructing a front porch. I couldn't be happier with the finished product! It's exactly what I wanted. Ron's crew was knowledgeable, talented, efficient, and paid attention to detail. Our home, beginning to end, took just about 7 months - an entire demo and remodel of half of our home including vaulted ceilings, an outside deck, front porch and full home siding. Ron was very communicative through the entire process and very easy to talk to, and work with. His main carpenter, Will, does outstanding work and made our dreams come to life. With whatever we envisioned, we all talked about what was needed, made decisions together and moved forward. In addition, the company he uses as his electricians and flooring are amazing. We recently contracted Mainville Construction to replace the front entrance door to our home. Overall, we were very pleased with them. Ron Mainville was very careful and thorough in planning and measuring to ensure that the new door would properly fit and had the options we requested. The door was delivered to our home on time and Perry and the team that installed it were professional, neat and took the time to ensure that the door was installed properly. Their attention to detail was excellent and greatly appreciated. We definitely would use them again on future projects.

I can't say enough great things about Ron's carpenter Perry! He was professional, respectful, and extremely meticulous. To say he was a perfectionist would be an understatement. He took the time to plan out every detail of the remodel of our entryway. He built 2 beautiful custom benches and hanging area with precision and was always asking for our input. He was respectful of his distance from us while working, which is especially important during this pandemic. He also showed great respect for his work area and left the construction area spotless each night. It was great to see how much pride he takes in his work and it certainly showed in the finished project. We’ve used Mainville C&R on two separate occasions, and will continue to use them for any future remodel/renovation projects. The first job involved creating addition interior space by modifying a large three-season back porch. A few years later, the second job involved remodeling our kitchen and first floor bathroom, as well as modifying our first floor flow by opening up a wall between our living room and den. In both cases, Ron and team were professional and accommodating. They adapted well to surprises introduced by our older home. The workmanship was superb; from all appearances, you would think the extension had always been part of the house. I tried to hire Ron Mainville for a complete remodel of TWO bathrooms. He didnt show up for our initial meeting. I called and got voicemail. Left a message he didnt return. Called the next day, got voicemail again and still no callback. Very unprofessional. Very disappointing.
