We were pleased with the ease of our experience calling and scheduling our appointment with Mr. Handyman. The company is definitely accessible. Our handyman R.R. was prompt and polite. He was able to figure out the best way to repair what needed to be repaired in a timely fashion. The job ended up requiring a part that had to be ordered, which will require another charge for labor, but there was no way to predict what needed to be done to solve the problem. These handy-people are essentially going in cold & problem-solving on the fly. I was impressed.

This review is on behalf of my aunt in New Britain.My elderly aunt had an emergency at her home. She does laundry down in the basement and sometimes leans on the railings a little too much for support and were talking OLD railings/posts.The post at the bottom part of the stairs had cracked. She was in a panic and called all her friends in search for a carpenter.I found Mr. Handyman on goggle and like the reviews and services they offered and so did my aunt so we gave them a call.They were so professional and well detailed in what they do and how they broke down what could be done for my aunt. And they we're out the next day 8 AM.Rich was the servicemans name and he was pleasant and knowledgeable and beyond professional. Within 2 hours not only had he replaced the post but he also reinforced the entire railing by adding a middle post and a middle support going down the length of the railing for maximum support.All with only going a few dollars above the quoted price. The experience was beyond my or my aunts expectations and I couldn't be happier with the outcome and look forward to using Mr. Handyman in the future with my needs.Highly highly recommend.

We had a wall AC removed from a second story bedroom. Removal included repairing the interior drywall and matching the exterior vinyl siding plus insulation. Last evening I was pulling my hair out trying to assemble an end table from Wayfair. For the life of me, I could not get the screws to screw into the tiny pinholes. The specifications said that only a screwdriver was necessary, but it was clear that I would need a drill (which I don’t have!). Today I called Mr. Handyman, and talked to Leah who was so sweet, and within an hour, John was at my door to do the job. He was great! He assembled my table in no time and did it perfectly. Beware of shady cost estimates from this company . I was quoted $400-$440 plus materials for some door work. Final invoice was $580. The materials consisted of approximately $30 worth of door seals and a bottom sweep from Home Depot. Verbal quote was for four hours but could be less or more hours. . Technician finished in three hours. I was charged for all four hours labor totaling $480. Richard did great work and was very clean but watch out for the owner who quotes the jobs. He was supposed to send me a quote but it was never sent. I had other things that I wanted estimates on but after this experience I don’t trust this company. I questioned the bill with office but got nowhere with the person. BBB will be receiving a call on this company.Services: Home maintenance & repairs, General repairs

This is the 2nd time I have used this handyman service. The dispatcher at the office responded to my request for a handyman within 2 hours of receiving my request. She immediately scheduled a handyman for early next morning. Handyman Rich was very punctual, came prepared and experienced. Rich Rose from Newington came out right away, looked at the job and knew how long it would take him. He did a great job, and I didn't have to pay a lot because of his quick work. His task was to fix part of my soffit outside, the kind that hold gutters along the roof line. He made the repair, cleaned up the area, and was as friendly as any handyman could ever be.
