His crew is professional and courteous. We never have to call to remind him of scheduling service. We bought a house with a funky backyard and the sellers hadn't mowed in a long time, so when it was finally in our possession we were left with a meadow far beyond the capabilities of a conventional lawn mower. Colonel Landscaping knocked it all down promptly, professionally and for a very fair price, and they left us with a yard we can more easily maintain. It's not often I receive a bill I'm happy to pay, but the one Colonel submitted is the rare exception. Thank you, Nick and Kyle!

School playground was showing some serious signs of wear. Nick at Colonel returned my call and made the recommendation to prep soil and hydro seed. Same week soil was prepped and seeded. He saw the need, made the recommendation and did exactly what he promised to do. Result:grass is growing and wear spots are filled in beautifully.He listened, responded and followed through. My sister needed same-day service, and these guys delivered! They showed up with their signed trailer, had cones on the street to alert drivers, and the employee listened to her requests as far as what was needed and how she wanted things done. When he was done, he let her know, rather than just driving off, like some do. The end result was really impressive. The sidewalk was edged nicely and there were no clippings out in the street, sidewalk, or driveway when he was finished. Highly recommend this locally owned and operated business! Called this company for a quote on mulch and landscaping. They sent a very nice person out who politely took all our info, and said they would get back to us in a day or 2. Since they seemed so reliable I didn't bother to call anyone else. 2 weeks later - not a word. Here's a tip: next time please don't waste your time or mine. Just tell me upfront that you can't do the work!

Unless you are already a regular customer, I don’t recommend calling this company.I’m putting my house on the market this coming weekend, and planned well in advance to have property ready for mulch delivery and installation.I called Colonel Landscaping several weeks ago for mulch delivery and spreading, and scheduled with Nicholas for the week following Memorial Day (I had to call twice).I called and left a voice message the Friday before the holiday weekend to confirm - no return call.I called Tuesday (yesterday) to confirm - no return call.I called again today (Wednesday) - voice mailbox is full.Nicholas called me back, said they MIGHT be able to be deliver next week.Had he returned my call on Friday, I could have made other arrangements week - now we are in a bind and have to find another company.Nicholas complained he had to spend time returning phone calls, rather than catching up on lawns because of rain. He could have returned my call over the long holiday weekend.It rained one afternoon last week, and on Sunday. He said I can call another company.Totally unprofessional and a poor way to run a business.

Met with owner, March 2016, discussed the project details, wrote a check for $30+ to cover the soil analysis test he was to have done, and signed/emailed the contract. Never received the soil analysis or a refund check and they never performed the work. So, the rating for this company is zero.Update, March 2018. Just received a refund check for the unperformed soil analysis test. Grateful I at least came out financially even. Owner did apologize for not doing the project.

To my local friends....My family and I were WAY behind in cleaning up all the leaves from fall. WELL, Nicholas and his crew did a fantastic job. Not only took care of the leaves but went around things, moved things, put things back....they had to have been LOOKING for leaves beyond what was visible! I swear they got rid of leaves that I didn't even know existed! Best money and timesaver EVER!!!!!! Very professional, and an absolute pleasure doing business with them.
