We chose thick Alaskan yellow cedar shingles as an upgrade and are very pleased with the look. Peter's checked in with the project regularly and was easy to get in touch with. Pete Mountzoures offers quality materials @ very competitive prices . I had the misfortune of a tree falling on the end of my house a month ago but Pete squeezed me in for a new roof which I appreciated.When work is scheduled they are prompt & diligent.Owner checks in on job frequently & is very easy to reach by phone or email with any concerns. Also did extra carpentry work to secure two cracked beams in roof from tree.Great clean up job... even have magnetic " mower" to snag stray nails.! Roof looks Fab!Would I recommend you hire This company?Definitely YES

We have contracted with Peter for two projects. Most recently he rebuilt our chimney and remediated substantial interior water damage. The masonry work and interior paint job and drywall work were all outstanding. Hard to believe that a good chunk of our bedroom ceiling had caved in a few months ago. You'd never know. A few years ago we contracted with Peter to replace a section of cedar-shingled roof. Again, the work was excellent -- aesthetically and functionally. We have found Peter to be very prompt to respond to inquiries; to be fair and transparent about pricing; and to provide superior workmanship. He is the sort of contractor who clearly takes great pride in his work. We are looking forward to working with him on some larger siding projects in the coming years.

PL Mountzoures was eager to begin this year's painting season with our house! We had some shaky weather with intermittent rain, but they came and worked when the weather would allow. They guys came early everyday and made sure we were satisfied with their work. The owner, Pete visited often to make sure things were going smoothly. They even replaced some flood lights for us! Our house looks great!

We have used Mountzoures construction several times since 2012 for both new construction (full dormers) and repairs (new porch and footings etc.) after Superstorm Sandy’s damage. Their estimates have always been within reason, accurate, and they have always shown up to scheduled appointments for both the estimates and the actual construction. Their work is impeccable, and they are very accommodating with changes and ideas we have, guiding us with correct advice at all stages of the work. All their workers are highly professional, great carpenters, and, therefore, the resultant work has always been beyond our expectation. We highly recommend them.

Pete was wonderful to work with as he replaced my cedar roof and two cedar dormers. Since I don't live at the house where he was doing the work full time, he was very communicative with me by sending daily pictures showing the updates. Several years ago we hired Mountzoures to re shingle the roof on our house and garage. We were so pleased with the job they did that when we decided to have vinyl siding put on our house , a new kitchen window and sliding door put in along with all new gutters, we again contacted Mountzoures about doing the job for us. They have just finished the job and we can not say enough about the great job they did at a fair price, the house looks amazing. I contacted P.L. Mountzoures regarding the replacement of the shingles on my roof. After getting a very fair estimate, we hired him to start the job in May. His crew completed the job in just a few days. The Workers showed up on time every day, were very friendly and did a professional job. The new shingles look great. They installed a CertainTeed landmark 30 year roof in 2011, Since then, we've had to replace more than one bundle of shingles that have been flying off. Their response was that "it was out of warranty." We had numerous leaks, and are now looking to replace the entire roof after only 11 years.Some of the current contractors have pointed out a number of obvious installation errors.Service: Installation

Matt from Mountzoures was very prompt in responding to our request and came to our home to discuss the project. He provided a quotation for the required effort and worked with us to come to a final agreement. The price was very competitive. The work was executed with expertise and great care, with a minimum of impact to surrounding structure and finish. They were very neat, cleaning the work-site every evening. Recommended by my home inspector, they were prompt and fair with their estimate. Closed on the house (circa 1794) and had them replace the entire roof and re-flash a couple of chimneys. Work was neat, professional and competitively priced. Plenty more to do on this place and they will be my first call.
