The guys are great! They installed the roof according to the correct way and not the way it was installed before. We discussed all the different correct ways of installing our roof and went with the best option. They even installed the bathroom exhaust vent for future install. My attic hasn't been cleaner and drier since the house was built!I also had Harry A Starr come back to install a hatch way to the basement, with new stairs and a weather tight basement door. All for a real good price. The work is well worth every penny! Every stair is perfectly cut!

We have used Harry A Star & Son for two projects: spring 2015 and summer 2020. 2015 was they took off siding, pulled out two windows and replaced with a very large 3 set window on our 3rd floor. Not an easy task due to the night of our house, but it was completed on time, on budget and with no marks on our lawn (big machines used). Summer 2020, they installed 3 basement windows and repaired damaged drywall. All done very professionally and with a focus on quality over speed. Had an appointment scheduled between 4-5pm, around 445 I called to follow up. Received a call back saying ‘they had a crazy day and couldn’t make it out until after supper - maybe around 730’ . I drove 45 minutes to meet them and they couldn’t be bothered to inform me of any changes. They wouldn't have even contacted me if I didn’t call to follow up. They have no respect for people’s time. If that’s how you are going to treat your customers, I’m glad we didn’t have them do work in our home.
