My shingle roof was damaged after a tree fell on it during Hurricane Ian. Marcus from Rising Star Roofing knew all of the relevant FL building codes and told my claims adjuster that the damaged area is larger than the state allows for repairs and I would need a full replacement.He also said doing a repair that size would make the roof look awful due to color fading and age of the existing shingles and if I had warranties left, it would void them.My carrier paid for a full roof replacement.I used the opportunity to upgrade to tile and I am so glad I did because the house looks FABULOUS now!!RSR did a fantastic job. The crew, Tony and Juan, were very nice and respectful.Office staff was polite and helpful.Marcus also referred a painter he has worked with so between the new roof and paint, the place looks amazing!!I had a good experience with Rising Star Roofing.(Before and after photos attached)

Highly recommended! The roofing crew did 2 roofs in less than 8 hours time! They moved everything on the deck and put it back exactly where it was. Having the gutters done by Rising Star as well. I'm sure I will be just as pleased.

Chris and the Rising Star team were incredible. Very organized and on top of all aspects of repairs. I’ve dealt with many bad contractors in the past and the difference shows! Additionally all the work they did was of the upmost quality. Would highly recommend and use again in the future.

So glad our neighbor recommended Rising Star after our roof & siding were damaged by a storm in December. Much of the work may need to wait until warmer/dryer weather, but I wanted to post a preliminary review because we're so happy so far! Chris has been absolutely awesome about dealing with our insurance company, advocating for us to get the necessary repairs covered. Allstate originally denied most of the claim, but Chris has been very persuasive - calling them, submitting additional photos, etc. We also had an extended family emergency right as this was happening & were so grateful to be able to leave the state & leave the negotiating in Chris' capable hands. Will try to remember to update after the work is finished (no news is good news) but so far we're very impressed! Thanks Chris! :)

Greg, at Rising Star did a great job of walking us through the process with the insurance adjuster. He answered all of our questions/concerns promptly, and accurately. We had quite a bit of damage done during the storm in December 2023. Rising star Roofing came right out to check the damage and put up a tarp to protect from more damage. Checking reviews to see if you should call Rising Star Roofing? Let me save you time….yes you should call! Stop reading and just call them…why are you still reading this review? You should be on the phone.Since you are still reading I assume you want to know more so I will share my experience.I was dealing with a small but consistent leak in my attic. It was a small trickle but that trickle of water adds up and due to actually caring about my house and wanting to avoid further issues l decided to try and find the source of the leak myself. I failed. Failing is okay and that is why there are professionals for this type of thing. The next logical step was to contact roofing companies for help. It quickly became obvious that others didn’t view my issue to be as important as I did (you know who you are). I was either ignored or I was pitched (no pun intended) an entirely new roof. Needless to say not being able to get help for a small issue was frustrating. It seemed like nobody cared since it wasn’t a roof replacement or large job with the potential for significant income. I couldn’t find the source, I couldn’t find a company to help, what else couldn’t I do….Well, I couldn’t believe it took me so long to find Rising Star and Chris Soverns. I contacted them on 12/7/23, I was hopeful but had tempered expectations given my recent track record with roofing companies. Then something strange happened, they responded to my inquiry within a hour of me reaching out, set an appointment to look at my roof today 12/8/23 and showed up on time. Less than 24 hours after calling they were at my door with a smile and willingness to help. Chris asked what was going on and of course I filled him in on everything and then he began his inspection. Chris found the potential source of the leak and sealed it, he shared before and after pictures with me, he let me know that the now sealed area appeared to be the source, he even said that if it was still leaking after the rain this weekend I should reach out. I know what you are thinking and you are right, it was amazing service and an enjoyable experience.Since this is a review that others might rely upon, and by others I mean smart people, I wouldn’t be doing those reading this justice if I didn’t include the things that Chris and Rising Star Roofing didn’t do. Chris didn’t pressure me into getting a new roof for no reason, he didn’t treat me like an idiot for not finding the source myself, he didn’t try to upsell or point out other issues, he didn’t treat me or the issue like it didn’t matter. He also didn’t give me a reason to ever call another roofing company again. Future roof replacement, I’m calling Chris and Rising Star Roofing. Future roof repairs that are needed, yep, I’m calling Chris and Rising Star Roofing. Friends that need recommendations for roofing companies, sorry but I have only one….Chris Soverns and Rising Star Roofing. For once I am looking forward to the obscene amount of rain forecasted for this weekend since I know my roof won’t be leaking.So there you have it, you can stop reading and stop wasting your time, just call them. You won’t be disappointed.
