This was our 3rd project with Bartlett-Brainard. As we committed to this, their sales person measured the space and took notes. Then a week or so later, their carpenter came out to measure again. “Measure twice, cut once” like school shop classes. They gave us an estimated approximate time to have the sliding door unit manufactured and then their schedule. As the time got closer, I reached out to them and them to me. In the last two weeks, communications increased until the day before installation to confirm our availability. The door was delivered early that morning as we were told, then their carpenters arrived to start working. The job took one day, start to finish. The quality of the work and their professionalism was outstanding. They helped take down a vertical’s curtain and rehung it on completion. They were neat and didn’t leave any construction debris.Bartlett-Brainard was recommended to us before the first project by previous customers who were also very happy with the work they did. I am happy to do the same thing again.

Recently, I was in need of a new roof on my home. Cathy and Josh (and Karen) were extremely professional throughout my entire roofing experience. They worked with me to have the roof done in a timely manner. The contractor they used was tremendous! They stripped off the old roof and completed the job seamlessly! I am so happy with my new roof. Their attention to detail is exactly on point. I HIGHLY recommend Bartlett Brainard for any roof or other jobs that need to be done.

Bartlett Brainard repaired siding damage to our garage. Karen was very responsive on the phone, Josh did a careful job of estimating the project, and Dennis did a faultless job of removal and replacement. We are pleased at how quickly the project was accomplished. No complaints. We have used B-B before, and won't hesitate to call on them again.

Two stars because they were able to have someone come out and look at my door the same day I called. The guy that showed up was a salesman, not a contractor, who wanted me to order a whole new custom door, but told me he would talk to the project manager to see what they could do as far as repair and would get back to me the next day. Two days later, I emailed the office who stated he would get back to me and he never did. Turns out this repair took a total of 20 minutes, and I did not, in fact, need a custom door. He was looking at dollar signs, I was looking to just secure my house. Not impressed.

We had a fantastic experience with Bartlett Brainard. They were very professional, on time, on budget and provided high quality work. Screened porch, mudroom/windows, interior doors were all completed by a very experienced and skilled team. They assigned a client/project manager who was always available and answered every call/question with complete clarity. You never know who to trust when you solicit this kind of work. So happy we found a trusting partner for future work in West Hartford. Highly recommend.

The website says “Window Installations- No matter how large or small your window project might be, we can provide you with the window installation services that your home needs”.I just called and requested a quote for a singular window installation. A friendly woman answered with “of course we can install a singular window, what size window were you looking to get?”.When I stated that the window had already been purchased, and we needed installation only, the tone quickly changed and I was told “oh we don’t have time for a singular window unless you purchase the window from us. We’re booked out for months.”I was a little shocked, given the complete change in direction once it was known that we already had the window purchased. So much for the websites claim on “no matter how large or small your window project might be…”The funny thing is, we were even willing to pay a premium for install probably more than what Bartlett makes on selling the window.Oh, and to mention, we are a previous customer of Bartlett (sliding door install). Sad that this is how Bartlett can treat returning customers. We will not be going back, and will no longer be asking Bartlett to quote residing our house for us which we planned on doing in the spring.

We had a fantastic experience working with the Bartlett Brainard team! We very much appreciated the time that Cathy took to help us address design issues and choose appropriate products in advance of beginning work on the project. Her advice at the outset of the project was invaluable, and she and the rest of the Bartlett Brainard team brought the same level of professionalism and organization to the project once underway, communicating regularly, addressing concerns promptly, and working with us to make sure that we loved the end product. Having folks in and out of your house over a long period of time can take its toll, but I can honestly say that we missed Neil and Darek and the rest of the team when the job was finished.

We had an excellent experience with Bartlett Brainard. Heavy branches that broke off in a windstorm had destroyed our old and brittle siding and the entire house needed to be resided. The whole B-B team was great: the analysis of what needed to be done was thorough and professional with options and recommendations explained clearly, the work crew was efficient and responsive to any questions or concerns I had, minor surprises encountered during the project were quickly and competently addressed, the work was done on schedule, cleanup was excellent, and our 95-year old house looks beautiful! Also want to mention the great job Cathy did in helping to convince a low-balling and very stubborn insurance company to ultimately cover 100% of the cost of the job. Couldn’t recommend Bartlett Brainard more highly.

The group of 3 represented their company very well, explaining the work to be done. They were most professional, meticulous, and expert in window and door installation. Prior to leaving the job a review of window and door functions was performed and their clean up outstanding! We will definately use and recommend Bartlett Brainard for our next set of windows in Jan 2024!

Cathy replaced my roof and recently installed two full glass storm doors. Her company also installed gutters with maintenance free guards. It is a pleasure working with her. Her employees do a fantastic job. I would recommend Bartlett Brained for any of your home projects.
