We decided to build a new house in Ocean View, DE, and we decided to go with Tyme Builders, rather than a builder that was "local" to the immediate area. We knew the strength of their reputation, and we had seen previous projects. We were very impressed with the quality of their work, their professionalism, their attention to detail and the dedication to their craft, right down to the cleanliness of the job sites. Beverly, Jessica and Melissa in the offices were outstanding responding to our questions and concerns. The ladies allowed us to pick from their vast selection of products in their showroom or to go on our own and procure the exact product we wanted installed in our new home. This created a bigger challenge for them but they worked it out and made it happen. We have never built a home before, and they were there to guide us from the very beginning and have always been willing to hear our desires and suggestions. The owners Brian and Beverly have been receptive to every question we've had and have gone above and beyond to keep us informed with the progress, by phone calls, text messages, emails and pictures. If I could give them 10 stars I would! You will be in EXCELLENT hands with this family run business Tyme Builders!!I will be sharing more pictures of the outside when the weather gets better for Tyme to finish the outside.

September 2023My husband and I used Tyme Builders to make extensive renovations to our fairly new home in Seaford, DE. We had a large screened in porch with knee wall added...with stone wall and woodstove, reconfigured a tiny laundry space to a workable room...brilliant design, made upgraded custom changes to the kitchen, built upstairs club room and closets, moved hot water heater to garage, added utility sink, built garage shelves, new flooring added, new appliances added, new cabinets added...the list goes on... the owner, staff and service has been phenomenal...everyone is kind, caring, (Bev (Mrs. Brown), Jessica, Melissa, John, Brendan, George, Cody) professional.....and they are soooo clean...!!! The work site is cared for... amazing....I lived in the home while all this work has been done!!! We are so happy with all of the changes. Tyme was patient and excel at problem solving...because sometimes you change your mind or want things added/altered...and Brian and everyone are so good at making your wants happen. They are reasonably priced, licensed...they know what they're doing. When we need any changes in the future to our home, we will use Tyme again. I'm a retired high school teacher of 31 years...have worked with and around thousands of people....working with Tyme is a breath of fresh air...you can rely on them. I doubt we'll ever move, but if we do, Brian Brown will build our next home. I really know what I'm talking about..they've been working here for several months...( I'm no relative; we just got to know the people/company while the work was being done.) I've attached some photos. I'll add more photos later, the painters are here, so I can't get some good photos at the moment.

I recently had a new home built by Tyme Builders and there is not enough good to say! From day one, this builder helped and guided me through the building process since I was new to it. While I did build my home through the raging times of COVID, I was still able to choose and design everything I wanted. The builder was prompt and effective in communicating with me on any project or material delays regarding my house due to the pandemic.I met multiple times through the project with the owners of the company (Brian and Beverly Brown) and they always had an open door policy if I needed to meet at the office and a listening ear in assisting me with my house choices. I have many friends with homes from other builders in the area and I can assure you that Tyme Builders utilizes excellent products and materials in their homes. Brian takes pride in the houses he builds and does not want you to have issues down the road with a new house. Brian listens and is responsive to your needs. My new house is well appointed with features and products that would typically cost way more with any other builder.Overall, Tyme builders provided me as a customer with superior service, communication, professionalism, and a quality home that will last me a lifetime. We first hired Tyme a couple years ago to remodel a bathroom and were very happy with the results, so we didn't hesitate to contact them again with a much larger project. This year, they completed an updating project consisting of the master bedroom, living room, staircase, hallway, and second bathroom. Everything looks fantastic and we're very happy with how it has all turned out. Beverly and Jessica were always quick to respond when we had questions or needed anything. Brian is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys in the business. Brendan and Mike were the primary laborers and were excellent, always polite and quickly found ways to fix the little quirks of the house. We really enjoyed having them work on our house and would rehire them for any future projects. Thanks again for all your work!

Tyme Builder built our home and we love our home. We are very happy with the build, the quality, the attention and care we were given to all of our questions along the way. It has been almost three (3) years that we have been in our house and they still check to make sure we are happy and if we have any issues at all they still come out to fix tiny things that we don't expect them to do.

Tyme Builder is a top quality business. Brian Brown is sensitive and responsive to his clients needs. My wife and I purchased one of his homes seventeen years ago. Our kitchen oven failed and was replaced by a home warantee service company but they would not install it because it was not new construction. But, because we were clients Brian came cheerfully with a crew and installed the replacement for us. Kudos to Tyme Builder.

Horrible experience. I feel sorry for anyone that is considering buying their new spec home they built next to me in Clearbrooke Estates. I wouldn't even waste my time stopping and looking at that house. If you want to see something they do, there has been truck loads of dirt sitting in front of one of their houses for over two months that they closed on last year. I feel for them folks who never got a finished product up front when they settled on a house.Would not recommend them to anyone. We were told by Brian that the job would start after all materials were delivered, and then it would take three weeks to complete. Wrong, we went three months without back steps and never knew when workers were going to show up. Have tried for over two months for Brian Brown to stand behind his guarantee of us being satisfied and his year workmanship warranty. He has yet to answer any of the items except with a small payout to void the rest of our project for his cost of stone material and labor that his crews installed incorrectly.Now since his crews know little about the products they use and are not experienced enough to call themselves finish carpenters we are now living through bowed and warped Azek deck boards and Azek trim boards cracking due to items not being installed correctly with the proper gapping and now are unsighlty since the material has began expanding from the weather.The list goes on and on with the issues that we continue to find. Let alone manufactures denying all warranty claims since they have installed numerous materials incorrectly.
