We recently renovated our large primary bathroom. We received several bids for the project and decided to go with Shy Nair, Ant Builders, who submitted a reasonably-priced proposal. It was the BEST decision we could have made. Shy and her team are consummate professionals. They are talented, incredibly hard-working perfectionists. We could have set our alarm clocks to their arrival every day at 8:00 am without fail--rain or shine. She has a longstanding team, and their mutual respect is evident. They did a spectacular job on tiling, plumbing, electrical, and painting. We did not use a designer, and Shy was extremely helpful in guiding us on decisions regarding colors and products based on her years of experience remodeling bathrooms. The bathroom is gorgeous. It's almost too pretty to use, but not quite. As is the case with any large renovation project, we ran into several troublesome issues—including water damage behind two of the walls, new faucets and other items that didn't work correctly, a complicated shower design, delivery of the wrong items from the manufacturer, and late deliveries. Shy and her team solved every problem without complaint while keeping the project on schedule. To top it off, our bedroom was left spotless at the end of each workday so that we could sleep in our bed each night. A real treat. The bottom line: WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANT BUILDERS.

I cannot say enough good things about Shy and her team. From the quick turnaround on the initial proposal for our master bathroom to the final cleanup in our home, I had not one issue with Ant Builders. Shy exceeded my expectations on responsiveness (usually within minutes) and was always clear on timeline and project goals. Her team arrived punctually each day and was respectful of our privacy and our home. The work was of the highest quality, and Shy made sure we were satisfied at all times. We joke about Shy being Wonder Woman. Is there anything she doesn’t do well? I will only use Ant Builders for future projects.

Shy and Ant Builders carried out extensive renovation work in our home ten years ago now and we continue to be in touch and to recommend her and her team. Their work is exceptional and to a very high standard. She is on hand to supervise and demonstrate if required. Although it’s been a while, the extensive work that Shy and her team carried out in our home still looks as good as new. Ant Builders installed recessed lights throughout our home, renovated two bathrooms and added one new, replaced all our doors, added sliding doors, skylights, moved walls and painted throughout. All within budget and agreed timeframe. Throughout Shy was available to answer questions and ensure the work was to the highest standard. Exceptional experience. We are still thanking our lucky stars ten years later that our paths crossed.

From design to implementation, Shy and the terrific crew of Ant Builders, has completed our 1941 bathroom transforming it into an elegant and yet functional bathroom. It is beautifully constructed and beautiful to see. Finished ahead of schedule, each day of construction was planned with cleanup each evening. Hands on highly responsive management, respectful, pleasant, crew, superb products and workmanship. Next, we are transforming our carriage house.
