Nash and his team did a fantastic job! They took an old dingy bathroom and made it into a showpiece! They even managed to build me a much needed linen closet in the process! They were professional came every single day on time. I have never had anyone perform such amazing work and deliver exactly what I imagined the space could be. I undoubtedly recommend them for any home project, big or small.Services: Tile work installation, Home renovations, Bathroom remodeling, Remodeling, Shower installation, Paint indoors, Painting, Electrical outlet & switch relocation, Remodeling, Drywall installation, Plumbing fixture installation, Faucet installation, Electrical outlet & switch installation

We bought a house that Carpenters of Georgetown flipped. Just a week after we moved in, the basement was flooded (pictures attached). We contacted Nash on the phone and email many times, and he finally replied with a short: ¨I will be in touch shortly.¨ That gave us hope that he would actually do something to help us repair their terrible job. He never got in touch again, I guess we have called him more than 50 times and at least the same amount of emails, you can imagine the frustration generated by this person and his company after making the biggest investment of our life. For what I see, I not only think he is not a great developer, but he is also a coward that runs away from problems. In fact, we talked to him before buying the house and he said things like: ¨I wouldn´t sell a house that is not safe¨ or ¨It´s not necessary to get a home warranty¨. We trusted him and that was our big mistake. Obviously, I don´t recommend them at all, but if you are going to do anything with him, make him provide you a warranty so you won´t have to be chasing him (and losing time and patience) the week after he leaves. We have already spent a good amount of money fixing the basement (and many more things) and we just have the option of suing him, something that we didn´t want. I guess by doing this we will finally get a response from him...

We hired Nash and his crew to renovate our Glover Park townhouse in DC. Specifically to open up the first floor, renovate the kitchen and an upstairs bathroom. We subsequently re-hired him to add a deck, and additional basement storage room and do some hardscaping in the back of our house. Nash is a great communicator and always keeps you in the loop with decisions which need to be made without overwhelming you. He is very responsive and has a great eye for aesthetics and how to make challenging situations work in old houses! The members of his crew are very polite, skilled and professional as well. I would highly recommend him for any home project, he is great to work with.Services: Home renovations, Bathroom remodeling, Roof repair, Remodeling, Exterior finishing, Kitchen remodeling, Patio construction

An absolutely fabulous experience for a total Georgetown townhouse renovation. The work his team does is top notch, the work was completed on time, his pricing was accurate, and communication was excellent. I was able to track the project from several states away, get my questions answered promptly, and always felt like he was being fair. What I really appreciate is his knowledge of Georgetown homes in particular. It takes a special talent to refresh a historical property in Georgetown and he was able to completely update our home while maintaining its historical exterior. I would highly recommend working with Carpenters of Georgetown on any renovation project that you have.

Terrific company. Checked out his some of his 5 star ratings and was super impressed. I would give them 6 starts if I could. Nash helped us find a place in dc and renovated it for us. He was hands on the entire time and he made it easy for us to complete this project on time and on budget. 3 new bathrooms, kitchen, painting and floors. They worked Monday - Saturday and was done in 6 weeks.

We have hired Nash and his team several times over the last 8 years. They've done two bathroom renovations, gutted our main floor and put in new kitchen and dining room, new floors, finished an attic, and built a mudroom for us. His quotes are always competitive. His team starts and finishes when he says they will. I highly recommend Nash and Carpenters of Georgetown.

Great work. We just spent a ton of money doing an entirely new kitchen in our condo on Capital Hill. A neighbor had recommended Carpenters of Georgetown, and I am happy that we went with this company. The team showed up every morning, exactly on the dot as promised, were clean, were polite, were consistent, and the work was finished in a timely and careful fashion. I'd use them again, definitely.

Nash and his team are great! They helped me renovate my property in Fairlington with clean and modern touches. They do high-quality work and pay great attention to detail. They are super knowledgeable about the latest trends in home design and what works best for the neighborhood and the owner. Highly recommend!

Carpenters of Georgetown saved our butts not once but twice when other contractors failed us miserably. We had a great bid and scope of work from a contractor I knew through work (I'm a Realtor and this contractor flipped houses and did a great job.) But I realized he hired guys from the Home Depot parking lot when the house almost imploded. Nash stepped in and gave us a very fair bid, and provided three amazing men to do the labor. They were on time, worked really hard, and completely sealed off the house to contain the dust. Then our cabinet contractor was supposed to install our cabinets and when he realized it would take him longer than 2 hours and he had to park on the street, he dropped the cabinets off on our back deck and took off. Nash called us (on vacation) and told us what happened. We confirmed with the cabinet company that due to several dozen unpaid parking tickets, they would not be installing our cabinets for us.Nash and his guys got out their tools and went to work. They did a beautiful job and we couldn't be more pleased.

I hired the Carpenters of Georgetown to come in and reconfigure our kitchen. They helped with design and layout and installation along with a number of complex issues that cheap firms wouldn't even touch. They were in and out in a few days and also went out of the way to leave the place spotless. If you're looking for an experienced team and require a high end look I would recommend them entirely.

Several months ago I started searching for a home improvement company to renovate my single family house in Arlington, VA. Within the morass of companies vying for my business, I was lucky enough to find The Carpenters of Georgetown based out of Washington, DC.It has been my experience that a lot can be said about a business from it's owner. From the first meeting with Nash Peart I was taken by his personableness and attention to my specific needs about the project. After taking the time to talk with me at length he sent along an estimate that fell nicely within the bids I was considering.I approved his bid after some modifications, and the construction started right on time. Mr. Peart oversaw the entirety of it. His crew were always respectful and seemed to go out of their way to clean up at the end of the days work. This point was of particular importance since my wife and family were still living in the house during the process. The final result was nothing short of wonderful. I have never had my home renovated, and maybe I'm gushing too much, but I was very impressed with the result. I have a new kitchen, two new bathrooms and rooms with renewed functionality and life. It seems that my confidence was not misplaced. Carpenters of Georgetown and Mr. Peart's dedication and attention to detail are not to be undersold. I would certainly hire them in the future.

We hired Carpenters of Georgetown to update our backsplash, construct a walk in closet, and update our basement with a kitchenette. They did an excellent job. The work done was professional, workers arrived in a timely fashion, and the jobs were completed beautifully. Thank you Carpenters of Georgetown!!!!

I contracted Carpenters of Georgetown to complete a renovation project in my home. He indicated he was licensed and turned out he was not licensed and did not get permits to do the renovations. In two months, Mr. Nashville Lloyd Peart manage to: ruin tiling work by grouting with bright white grout instead of mahogany brown grout and attempting to cover it up, destroy my furniture, ruin my hardwood floors by placing wood planks horizontally and vertically in the dining room, ruin the electricity polarization on the first floor to the point that it had to be rewired, fail to properly wire a heating system which caused a fire hazard, destroy the hot water heater and HVAC ventilation system endangering my life with hazardous carbon monoxide, leave live wires hanging from the ceiling and walls throughout the home and left the electrical box a mess. He took the house key, appliances he did not pay for. He left trash all around the outside of the house and a washer and dryer outside that did not belong to me. He ensured me that I would be able to stay in my home during the renovations, but instead, I was forced to stay in hotel for 10 days because he left my home in an inhabitable condition without hot water, gas and air conditioning. Mr. Peart wrote the contract indicating he was going to move the gas, water and sewage connections and install beams, but he did neither and charged me for work he did not complete. He changed the architectural plans and refused to finish work. When I informed Mr. Peart of his short falls, he decided to keep the $22,000 I paid him in advance and abandon the contract by not coming back. Mr. Peart constantly sent harassing and threatening emails and text messages demanding more money. He went to my place of employment and filed a formal complaint. I sent Mr. Peart an email indicating what needed to be done and fixed to get the remaining funds. Mr. Peart, instead stated that he rather not come back. I had to hire an attorney to sue; I won a judgement against Mr. Peart for over $23,800.
