I was very happy with EEE. They came out and did a very thorough audit of our home and revealed a lot of issues big and small with our home's efficiency. Some of the fixes I could do on my own and they gave a good quote for the larger things like blowing in insulation. They were able to come a few days later and do all the work and our home already feels a lot warmer.Very easy experience, very easy to work with, and thorough work done. I couldn't recommend them more.

Excellent experience! They scheduled us quickly, communicated in advance, showed up on time, and did the audit quickly. I got great information about how to improve my home's energy efficiency but didn't get pressured to perform work immediately. Energy Efficiency Experts is fantastic! Not only did they replace all of our old insulation, they found ways to insulate other areas where heat was leaking. Carrie and Marlene did a thorough analysis beforehand to maximize our home's efficiency. The installation crew arrived exactly when they said they would and completed the job ahead of schedule. They were friendly and professional. They raised our home's efficiency so much we got a higher rebate from Pepco that they estimated! If you're thinking about conserving energy in your home, you can't do better than Energy Efficiency Experts!

Marlene conducted an energy evaluation of our home. John S. led the team that did our energy efficiency projects. Both were very knowledgeable and proficient. Energy Efficiency Experts was able to improve our efficiency by 28% and our garage is no longer the coolest room in the house! From the basement to the third level, the house temperature is constant. A lot of work was done, but the crew left our home in pristine condition. I'm so glad we did the Empower Maryland program.

Had a great experience with this group insulating our 1920s-era single-family home. Their salesperson, Wilkins, was polite and knowledgeable. He was honest about what he thought would give us the best value for money. The crew was efficient and kept things clean. They communicated well about what they were doing and responded to any questions. In the end the project came in under budget because the foreman (wisely) thought it wasn't worth the trouble to insulate some of the areas they'd budgeted for in the quote. Most importantly, it's 98 degrees out and our house is now completely comfortable! A+

BLUF: recommend without reservations. Now >1 year since our 50 year old home’s evaluation & re-insulation with EEE and I continue to be impressed and satisfied with their work. The home has been much warmer in cold weather and our winter utilities costs decreased noticeably. The unintended benefit of better soundproofing has also been nice. Jeremy and his team were very open, prompt, and communicative during the evaluation, planning, and and work phases - their presentation materials were all very helpful. They even accommodated late changes by us in stride during the work phase.

Pascale Meslin is phenomenal. A few years ago we asked her to do an intensive energy audit of our early 1960's residence. She was quick, efficient, thorough, practical and incredibly knowledgeable about how we could reduce air leaks in our home. She developed a clear treatment plan with guidance on payback periods. She was also sensitive to environmental issues and minimized use of foam insulation, preferring batting where appropriate.Recently, we asked her to help us solve a humidity issue in our house. We were experiencing 65-75% relative humidity in much of our house and considerable mold in the basement. When treating mold, first one needs to identify the source of water creating the high humidity levels in your walls or indoor air. Unlike others, she did not provide pro forma answers. Instead, she quickly developed the data needed to identify the sources of water creating the high humidity readings and developed a treatment plan. She recommended other professionals who could help carry out the treatment plan. She is bright, trustworthy, and easy to work with. Without reservations I recommend Energy Efficiency Experts for deep energy efficiency audits and analysis and diagnosis of water infiltration issues.

I used Energy Efficiency Experts for a home energy audit. The team was professional, prompt, courteous, and thorough. At the end of their visit they delivered a very informative powerpoint presentation. I was worried that there was going to be hard sell after the assessment, but that didn't happen. Because of that - I would also consider using EEE for the required insulation work, too. Definitely worth the investment in the audit - good company, good people.

Two representatives conduced an energy efficiency audit. They were thorough, listened to our specific concerns about heat loss, and recommended both things that we could do ourselves (e.g., caulking) and services that require a contractor (e.g., improving attic insulation). Every suggestion was backed by evidence & photos. Would highly recommend them!

EEE did an energy audit for us in the Spring and also recommended some fixes, mainly related to the attic. We eventually contracted with them for that work, after getting a substantially higher quote from another company. They sealed the attic, added several inches of insulation along with baffles, built a platform so that we could continue using the attic for storage, and installed an attic fan and a bathroom exhaust fan. We appreciated their ability to pivot to an alternative solution when we found that their were no eave vents to allow the baffles to work. They also returned to do a second blower door test when the results from the first appeared to be faulty. Crew and foreman were friendly and professional.

This company did a very thorough energy audit for my than 50 year old house. From this audit, they planned to install insulation and seal up the house which they did. The company carried out the plans and i have had a lovely draft free winter. Pascale even returned to help me figure out the difference in temperature between the basement and upstairs. An energy audit showed where additional attic insulation and insulation in the basement next to garage would improve heat efficiency . Also updated recessed lighting which brought me into the 21 century and are energy efficient. Even though work was recently completed I can already feel the difference in comfort. Great team that will help you find ways to reduce the energy costs of your house, and inform you of PEPCO rebates that you would be eligible for. I had attic insulation and a few other jobs done and I was impressed with the EEE staff from the initial visit to my house, through the insulation process and the interactions afterwards. They will also do the rebate paperwork for you, to simplify the process.

I called Energy Efficiency Experts (EEE) because my second floor bedrooms and bathrooms were consistently cold in the winter so I used space heaters to make them comfortable. EEE came to my home, did an assessment and determined the it need more attic insulation and sealing. Though the cost was more than I anticipated, the work EEE performed fixed the problem and now my second is much warmer in the winter and I no longer need the space heaters to keep warm.

They came to my house for an energy audit and spend more than 3 hours poking around all possible cracks to identify the air leaks (with the cool whole-house air pump, see picture), and provided me with a useful, detailed report, which also compared my house to comparable houses.Sadly, they never came to perform the follow up work. Essentially, I need to start over to find a new contractor. Very disappointing.

I'm very happy with the work and responsiveness in helping us achieve comfort in our home. We have a 1939 cottage in Bethesda that has a DIY upstairs addition and a later professional addition. Since the professional addition was done in 2010, we have noticed that the upstairs gets very hot in the summer and the 1st floor is uncomfortably cold in the winter. My wife and kids have complained for years, and finally I reached a breaking point. I was expecting a massive expense to tear walls, install insulation and buy all new windows. However, Pascale recommended doing a lot of basic attic insulation, venting, and leak sealing before looking into such major expenses. $4000 later (closer to $2600 after rebates), our upstairs no longer has that Amazon River basin vibe even in the heat of July. Our kids, who had been sleeping on couches in the summer, can now sleep in their beds again. Aside from that, Pascale's team is very professional, courteous, and neat.
