Four Brothers, LLC thoughtfully redesigned and skillfully performed a total renovation of our 1300 square foot condo in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of DC. And they did it while we were absent; living and working in Africa. We followed their lead as they represented us getting building permits from the DC government. As 4 Brothers developed floorplans we received clear drawings and options to choose from via Internet and worked with them to fine tune the plan. As it came time to select materials we had a few preferences that 4 Brothers acted upon and in other cases, 4 Brothers provided us good options from which to choose. Communications flowed extremely well between DC and Africa. Throughout the project we trusted their recommendations on layout, materials, changes, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, flooring and a significant soundproofing effort. We were thrilled with the results.With Alfred as lead on construction, Tamar overseeing details of interior finishes and Ben as our interface, 4 Brothers employees and teams of high quality sub-contractors worked with small spaces, difficult access, challenging aspects of the original building design, and even cranky neighbors, to ensure that our condo would be ready for occupancy when we returned from Africa. Each of the Four Brothers team members made us feel that our job was their most important. As we worked together by email and phone calls to make final decisions on infrastructure and finishing, and to accommodate our desire for some unique features such as an acacia wood bar that we shipped from Africa (a later challenge for Alfred and Phil to install). 4 Brothers excellent design and craftsmanship was accompanied by good documentation, honest assessments, and cost estimates that did not grow. And they were waiting for us the Saturday morning of our return to the United States to introduce us to our totally new home. We enthusiastically recommend 4 Brothers, LLC.

Over the years I have been through several kitchen remodels, large and small. Working with Four Brothers was by far the most pleasant and easiest. Everyone who came to my home was pleasant, professional, good natured and really knew what they were doing. The work went smoothly and whatever problems arose, good solutions were offered. I would highly recommend them. In particular, Kate Donahue (architecture, design, and client management) and James Concepcion (construction management and expert carpentry). They were fantastic partners. We worked with Four Brothers on two projects and are very happy with the results. We hired them to renovate the kitchen in our Capital Hill row house after seeing the work they did for a friend. From the first visit to get an estimate through the final walk-through, our experience with Four Brothers was wonderful. Four Brothers renovated my very small bathroom in a condo. They took it down to the studs, gutted it in one day and delivered the project on time with beautiful craftsmanship. They do great work, they're honest, and delightful to work with. They suggested a charming detail for what was going to be plain white subway tile and I love it. It makes me happy. Four Brothers is a high quality operation with tremendous integrity. You won't be disappointed if you work with them. We recently finished a kitchen renovation project with Four Brothers, and we absolutely love our new space. Our team was incredible from start to finish. The designer really was able to incorporate all the features we wanted into our small galley kitchen (and we asked for a lot!). And our project manager and carpenters were awesome, working with us through every little detail (with plenty of patience and accommodation!). The communication was great, too--someone always got back to us, and our team leader was easily accessible. We also took comfort in knowing that someone from the team (not just the company, but the team) was always on site, and we had access to updated calendars that kept us in the loop on progress as well as daily and weekly progress reports. It's been a couple of months since we've been living with our new kitchen, and everything has been perfect. We highly recommend Four Brothers; they will definitely be our top pick for any future project.

Four Brothers did an outstanding job on our kitchen and bath renovation. Our design consultant, Kristin, really listened to what we wanted, had great ideas that were consistent with the overall design of the house, and was responsive to our budget. Our construction supervisor, Mike, paid attention to every detail and kept the work flowing smoothly. The man who did the color-matching for the floor was really talented! Everyone was courteous, on time, and on schedule. Altogether, an excellent experience. I'd recommend them to anyone.

We used Four Brothers to do two major renovations to our home in Chevy Chase Md. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. The two jobs spanned a year and the entire Four Brothers team were courteous, efficient, communicative, and provided excellent craftsmanship and professionalism. They were on budget and on time. Four Brothers designed and undertook a major renovation of our home, which included kitchen replacement, master bathroom expansion, master closet installation, attic renovation to install full bath and guest suite, and install front portico. We are very pleased with the entire experience and outcome, starting with the architect Kate, the project supervisor Kent, and the site manager and chief carpenter/builder James. A great team to work with, highly professional, talented and responsive. As in any project of such a magnitude, unforeseen problems are unavoidable. To date, we've used Four Brothers to install built-ins, remodel a kitchen, install a powder room, and renovate two bathrooms in our pre-WWII Dutch Colonial. As a perfectionist and a veteran of a previous house renovation, I was skeptical that any design/build firm could meet my expectations. Four Brothers did more than that -- they exceeded them in every way when they did a top-to-bottom condo remodel for me. From the first meeting, I was impressed with their well-organized approach. By far one of the greatest companies I have ever worked for. I cannot express the amount of knowledge and skills they gave me. I feel horrible having to step away but I know in order to become a carpenter worthy of their work I was going to need to.If you're looking for an amazing build firm, I highly suggest them. They take care of their employees and subcontractors far beyond any other company I worked for. I know this sounds like a paid review but I can guarantee it isn't. Although 🤔 doesn't sound like a bad idea lol. Anyways, I'm honestly overly appreciative of everything they've done for me. The level of skill they have and the dedication to quality work was what I was looking for.Too many contractors out there only care about profits, they actually care about results.I'd also like to give a shout out to the project managers, we had ups and downs but in the end they were my teachers and like big brothers to me. I called Four Brothers for an estimate for my condo kitchen, I was told that they would call me back after talking to their sales person. I didn’t get a call back, but a email basically saying they won’t do the job because it’s not over a 100k and my kitchen sounds like it’s too small of a job for them to work with. Mind you they never even came out to my condo to see the job to make that assumption in the first place. I’ve noticed that where I live dictates who will actually come out in service me, regardless of how much it’s going to payout.

I wish I could share how our renovation worked out - unfortunately I can't... Two a month apart attempts to have someone call me back resulted in absolutely nothing, no call back, nada. I talked to a woman that took my message with contact info to pass further along. 1st time she said that someone would call me back in 72 hours, and the last time it was gonna be within 48 hours. As I mentioned earlier both times it went nowhere. This was a disappointing experience.
