Myles LaGarde and his team just completed a massive renovation of the first floor of our home in Apollo Beach. What once was a small galley style kitchen and nice but dark den, and rooms overly adorned with columns is now a sleek modern grand chef's kitchen, expanded dining and updated great room and foyer. From early engineering work to gutting the walls, flooring, ceilings and window to demo-ing the kitchen (including plumbing and electrical, the crew was professional and relatively quick for such a large-sized project. Literally every surface was replaced, including marble floors, cabinetry, appliances, countertops, plumbing, new gas lines and lighting fixtures. and the entire downstairs and upstairs loft area of the great room was repainted. The result is a stunning open concept: "elegant coastal (our term) look and feel." See pictures.Myles is terrific to work with -- very responsive, respectful and reasonable. Couldn't ask for a nicer trustworthy guy especially when most contractors won't even return a call. He has strong vendor relationships and each stage of the process met/exceeded Hillsborough County inspection. In fact, the final inspector said to us, "Wow, you'd never know this was not the way it always was!" Meaning it didn't look like a construction project. Perfect!

Myles was involved in our build out for Apollo Beach Society Wine Bar from start to finish. He was always a phone call away and on top of all work that needed to be completed. Unprofessional. Promises of estimate, never showed. says they did but we have cameras and I was home all day. Asked for an estimate for that ghost visit, never received that either. Lots of worthless emails. A pure waste of time for us. Response to the below, first off, no one EVER SPOKE to me. It was all emails, and you never said we didnt need a general contractor. Please stop I have alll of the emails with Anna. We were never told ANYTHING except someone would be out and someone would call.. neither of which happened.

Myles and his crew fully remodeled our home in Apollo Beach. Gutted down to the exterior walls. I recommend him to everyone I run into that is looking for Contractor. He gave us a very reasonable budget and didn't go over it one penny. We wanted a little more than kitchen than the budget so he calmly worked with us to take a little from somewhere else. 5 Star no doubt. Always answered calls, emails, texts in a timely manner. He saw our vision for the home and went drawings to final inspection with ease. He gave us the budget with a five pay plan, and never ventured off course, not this half down and never show back up like a lot contractors. Highly recommend is an understatement. I'll post pics this weekend!

Whether your project is small or a complete gut and rebuild like ours, we highly recommend Myles and South Shore Construction!!We contracted with Southshore Construction after a year-long nightmare experience with our original contractor who left us with a half-completed, unpermitted project with many code violations. Once the other contractor finally abandoned the project, we struggled with how to recover and move forward – unfortunately, most contractors we reached out to didn’t want to touch this mess with a ten-foot-pole.Myles stepped in with compassion and understanding, along with emotional support, and rescued us! He spent the time necessary to thoroughly access our situation by bringing in several professionals, then immediately contacted the County Permitting Office to develop a plan to move forward.Myles understood and acknowledged the fact that the other contractor had stolen a huge amount of money from us and that our renovation budget had been depleted long ago. At every turn, he provided options for achieving our desired high quality, "jaw-dropping awesome" outcome in the most cost effective manner.Southshore Construction personnel are responsive, respectful, and simply a pleasure to work with.Thank you, Myles!

We had been left high and dry by another contractor (in our addition project) . Myles and his team worked with us to get the project back on track, by not only completing unfinished work, but they worked to correct the prior contractor's sub-standard and NON-code-compliant work. Myles assisted with permitting issues, got us back in good standing with the county and was always working to communicate progress with us. We couldn't be more appreciative. Recently had them install a French door for usThey showed up on time , realized that the door I picked out wouldn’t work and quickly adjusted to the new size , work was well done and professional. Everything was level and plumb and they were able to perfectly match the existing wall finish - the new door looks like it’s been there forever - which is exactly what you want - price was very reasonable and they even gave us a credit because the door that was used was less money than the one I picked outI highly recommend Myles and his company

The gentlemen at South Shore Construction are great. They took out windows, skylights, and doors to convert a hot unusable room into an office and storage room. All the employees are courteous, friendly, professional, and willing to answer questions. The end product looks fantastic.
