If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I am a Real Estate agent in the Tampa area. As many people know, even the smallest problem with a roof can cause a major hiccup in a transaction here in Florida (insurance concerns, 4 point issues, etc). I was in that situation, and a roofing company came out and gave us a very bogus quote for an issue that we needed to get fixed to close. We called PJ roofing for a second opinion. Throughout the whole process, they were honest, professional, and had incredible bedside manner. The way they handle their business is rare in today's day. My client was an elderly woman, and they treated her with kindenss, patience and manners the whole time. The gentleman that I dealt with was named Earnest. Again, I cannot speak highly enough about him. There is no wonder why they have 62 other great reviews. The job was completed in a timely manner. They even had to come out a second time for estimates, and they never complained or made us feel like we were being pesky. I will recommend their services to future clients in a heartbeat. If you want an honest company, you should at least give them a shot and see for yourself!

Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!! Never passed the final inspection with the county. Left my shingle roof partially undone, never put the flashing down. Had to fire this company. Never heard a word from the owner. My roof is leaking in numerous places and it’s only been down about 4 years. Was told by 2 other roofing companies PJ Roofing never replaced the wet and rotted wood. Now there are termites in it. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

They did our roof about a year and half ago, and have no complaints at all. We were on a time schedule because of a closing date they did a great job on time and estimate was exactly as quoted. Highly recommend

We had a new roof installed this spring. Roof looks great. There was an accident that caused some damage to our house. The Contractor had it repaired and made sure that we were completely satisfied with both the new roof and the repair of the house. Wow! Called this company and within 24 hours I had a detailed estimate for the replacement of my roof! Very professional and easy to work with. Work was done quickly too. Everyone I dealt with were very knowledgeable and courteous. Only complaint I have is that a wind mitigation test was to be conducted. Even though I’ve asked about this test and asked for testing results, I’ve gotten no response from the company about said test.

Hiring PJ Roofing was a mistake I wish I could take back.We originally hired them to replace our roof shortly after purchasing our home. We paid for a clean wind mitigation, as was laid out in our contract. The job was completed in a timely manner, however their communication when accepting payment and getting the permit signed off was poor, requiring numerous phone calls to complete. They did not, in fact deliver a clean wind mitigation despite their promises. They also did not clean up the roofing nails which punctured our riding lawn mower tire. Additionally, they left a jacket over our chimney, which I thankfully found before we had issues.One year later, when applying for new home insurance, our inspector informed us the secondary roof had never been replaced as we requested. We contacted PJ Roofing who had no idea why that roof was not replaced, agreeing it was an oversight on their part. They offered to replace the secondary roof at cost on relatively short notice. However, the job was scheduled to be completed on a Saturday and there was no communication until the following Monday. The job was still not completed until Wednesday. We were never given the option on colors so our roof doesn't remotely match. Communication was poor throughout this experience requiring multiple phone calls on my end which were usually answered with "I don't know" or "Sorry, the person who deals with that left for the day." Following this job we found approximately 20 roofing nails scattered around the entire house, one of which again punctured our lawn mower tire. My wife and myself both stepped on roofing nails at some point over the next week or two. When we informed them, they stated it was their policy to always do a sweep of the yard prior to completing the job. I am certain this was never completed because our dogs were in the backyard the entire time and we were never asked to move them. When they did sweep the yard they found another dozen or so nails. Once again, it took weeks for them to accept payment and get our permit signed off. They were kind enough to send a letter requesting payment, despite never signing the permit off. This was made more difficult by the fact that they never filed for a permit on the secondary roof in the first place, another apparent oversight on their part.I do not recommend working with this company if you have any other choice.Service: Roof installation

Wanted to say thanks to P & J Roofing. I have not used them until recently. Long story short - I used Dan Sheffler out of Leesburg (paid him for a new roof on three homes over 4 years and sent him to other jobs from friends) however when I really needed him to repair a hole in my roof from Hurricane Irma Dan told me it would be at least three weeks just for the estimate and at least three more for the repair. So we called P & J. They came out and actually fixed the small hole in the roof on my schedule and for a really reasonable price. Thanks again to P & J and the young man who did the work. I'll use and recommend you guys from now on!

Will not honor warranty for workmanship on $17,000 roof installed several months ago. Several phone calls went ignored and then owner, Paul Wernicke finally called back after 4th time and said he would be out to look at multiple issues. Paul never showed up now more than a month since originally contacting. Complaints to Citrus County Building Department as well as the Better Business Bureau have been initiated as well as a consultation with a legal firm.

This company is the best! I highly recommend this place . We had to wait a few weeks to get our roof put on , but the wait was worth it . Where do I begin.. everyone so nice and helpful and knowledgeable. They bring out samples, they don’t PRESSURE you ! They give you all time you need to make this important investment , no hassles , they Don’t phone you constantly like other company’s.. I had a roofer call me and said whatever price and whatever company gave you , I will do the job cheaper can you imagine ? That’s insane ! Here is the deal , great team of professionals from Kristin in the office to PJ and down to the workers , everything works smoothly like a well oiled machine , lolWe had a nightmare project there were a total of 3 structures they roofed , and they had to basically replace the wood right to the bare bones!The price was exceptional , they don’t cut costs . They do the job right the first time ! We have a warranty, and the roof material is mildew and stain resistant .The workers , did fantastic work , kind and polite , picked up everything , never know I’d had roofs put on as there was no evidence of water bottles , paper wrappers, nails etc . Left no traces of old roofing materials . They were swift to get job done in a timely matter , the roofers rock in my opinion . It blows my mind that there’s good people who do great work at affordable prices ! I’m certainly having them again with another property in the future , when I’ve had the best , well I need not look no further !Call them and see for yourself , no disappointments here!
